I told my boyfriend about you today. He’s the first serious one in quite a while.

You would like him. He’s nice to me, seems in awe of me, and makes me so happy. I think you two would gotten along too. He’s just as lame as you, and has the same humour. I can imagine you two telling lame jokes to one another, or teaming up and making fun of me.

It’s funny why it’s taken me this long to realise the nice ones are where it’s at? You were the worst victim to this - I always said you’d be the perfect bloke when all us girls grew up. It would have been nice to see who you ended up with.

It was nice to tell him about you. You were so important to me and such a catalyst to how I communicate. It was like sharing a piece of who I am.

I started balling my eyes out as I went to bed though. Reading through our old messages and posts - especially the ones before you got sick.

Made me remember how much can change so quickly, and how much little time we have to make memories sometimes.

I wish you had gotten the chance to meet my boy (who knows, this one might be around for good) and I wish, more than anything, that you were still here today...
