This week is pretty bittersweet. It marks the first week of turning my side-hustle into my main hustle, but the beginning of the end for a big part of my life for the last 9 years. I’ve joined the teams at Manic Presents/Premier Concerts, and with that I am closing up shop with The Arc Agency (...I left Grillo’s too). I started this group when I was 16, a Junior in high school and put literally everything into it since then. Countless hours, chunks of paychecks from my first minimum-wage job, sacrificed sleep, and much more than I can name. It was an endless learning experience, a way to directly support various causes, where I met a good majority of my current friends all around the country, and allowed me to have a part in working with so many artists I never thought I’d have the opportunity to. Shouts out to anyone that’s ever supported our shows and to everyone that’s been a part of the team (honorable mention to Ed Goodfriend who has been the longest running member besides myself and contributed so much) -- as corny as it sounds (hell, this whole “statement” is probably corny), I couldn’t have done it without anyone’s support. Be it buying a ticket to a show, or helping out in any way. So thanks, and see you around.
Support the new faces of DIY shows in CT like Tiny Box Booking, Crunch House, CapitalH Records, Couch Yeti, etc -- they are filling a very important void. 9 years, close to 300 shows...it’s been real. The last show(s) will be in October, stay tuned.
