But what they taught her is to conceal and hide herself from the world in her room for countless years. If thats not abusive for influencing and scaring a child into thinking she is dangerous then you have a strange idea of parenthood.

What, do you think they were doing it on purpose?? They wanted to help. They didn’t go about it the right way, and they made mistakes, but they didn’t want her to feel like a freak. Their methods were highly counterproductive, but they weren’t abusive.

It’s actually a pretty great and subtle message (Frozen is really, really good at those): sometimes even the most well-meaning of parents make really terrible decisions that completely fuck up their kids.

Hey Anon! You asked me about this and I finally found the actual post. And I totally agree with the people on this post. Parents want the best for you, they really do, and they are going to do anything to protect you.

But sometimes, the result isn’t always what they hoped and it turns out for the worst. The parents of Elsa and Anna were no way the villains, or of doing all of this on purpose.

They loved their girls too much, it blinded them to see what they were really doing.
