Hope everyone's having a good Christmas this year! As a final Christmas gift for 2018, I present this Christmas card of Maxwell and his friends. Maxwell and Ana are joined by Mai-Ra who seems distasteful in driving a sled pulled by Dan and Sly trying to pose as reindeer. And guest starring are Krystal and Kyte from Dinosaur Planet. And in case anyone's wondering, yes, the Dinosaur Planet animated fanseries project is still in the works. The team and I have just been under a long, quiet hiatus this past year due to many different circumstances (including the production of OutFOXed). We still have no release date yet, but expect to see some new stuff related to it in the coming future (This time I promise!). Expect to see a post about plans for 2019 by the end of the year. This is a bit of a belated Pride Month pic. I decided to have some of my OCs who fit into the LGBTQ category and hold up their respective flags. First there's Mai-Ra, who's in the Bi-curious/Heteroflexible category. Meaning that while she's predominantly straight, she actually might not mind having a relationship with the opposite sex. Next there's Dino Dan who is polysexual, meaning that he is characterized by many different kinds of sexuality and is attracted to multiple genders. But he'll most likely still try to win Mai's heart anyway. Finally there's Rikki Tyson (from the Sol Fighters pic from last year: fav.me/dbl40ox). She's androgynous, meaning that while she can be identified as female, she considers herself a mix of masculine and feminine. It's similar to non-binary. I hope all of you had a great Pride Month. I again apologize for not getting this submitted in time, but better sooner than later. I'll probably do this again very soon. Take care everyone. And remember, you are loved no matter who you are. All characters belong to me.

Commission - The New Captain by WayCool64

This was my very first commission I've ever done! A little picture for Captain Nate on Twitter, who you can follow at the following link: twitter.com/WSLCaptainNate. He asked to have his character on the newly restored bridge of the Titanic. I worked pretty hard to get this pic done (especially the background), but as a first commission, I think I'm pretty proud of what I was able to accomplish. Ko-Fi, Tea, or Commissions?

Well, summer has rolled around the corner for me again. But this time it's different, I have officially graduated from CSUMB with a Bachelor's in Cinematic Arts and Technology. Not only that, but I have just been accepted into a new vocational school in LA called Exceptional Minds, which I am very excited about! So sometime in late August, I'll be an official SoCal resident. But until then, I've got some plans over the summer. First and foremost, in regards to OutFoxed, I am still planning to submit it to a couple of film festivals around my local area (plus some other states where my crew is from), so stay tuned for more details on that. I’m also planing to do a Director's Cut edition of the film with improved animation, live music, and the restoration of a scene that was unfortunately cut from the earliest cut of the film due to limited time and resources. How can you, my humble followers help in making this Director's Cut happen? Well, that's where my next announcement comes in... I officially have a Ko-Fi account! In terms of other things, Dinosaur Planet has gone under some restructuring for a while, and me and the crew have been working on a new set of plans for it that we're hoping to show off this year, so stay tuned. I'm also planning to work on a few small things to not only strengthen my portfolio, but also do them for fun. This includes an animated vlog series that's been in the works for some time, some more comics with Mai-Ra and Dan, and a super secret project that I'm not ready to spill the beans on yet. As for Maxwell, once OutFoxed (both the original and Director's Cut) has finished touring film festivals, I'm planning on a brand new Maxwell short sometime this year, so be on the lookout for that!

The countdown to OutFoxed begins! 

I'll be showcasing some new art of each character until this Thursday. 

First up is Maxwell Squirrel! Voiced by the talented @chisanaai!

Hey guys, just an update on things with “OutFoxed!”. The team and I already in the inbetweening phase of the animation and we’re still shooting for our May release date. However, we recently lost half the animation crew due to conflicting schedules. So I'm looking for 1 or 2 extra animators to help me with the inbetweens and cleanup.

The only requirements I’m looking for is that you must know how to use Photoshop or know how to animate with psd. files, as well as some good experience in animation. I’d also like to have someone who can work in an organized and timely manner.

Since the project is mainly student based (this is my senior film), the work will be strictly volunteer based. There will be no pay involved, but you will be credited in the film.

Well here it comes, Maxwell Squirrel's first fully animated short film: "OutFoxed!" OutFoxed will be my senior capstone film for CSUMB. The short will be a nostalgic throwback to the classic Warner Bros and MGM cartoons of the past, with Maxwell trying to outsmart a hungry gray fox, all while trying to be with his girlfriend, Ana. The short will also feature the voice talent of @chisanaai as Maxwell! Right now I'm still working on the keyframe animations to this short, and will be gathering a team of more animators sometime by the end of the month to work on inbetweens and cleanups. The film is set to debut at the Capstone Festival this May and will be fully released to the public sometime after that. Decided to contribute to Pride Month at the last minute. I wanted to do this sooner, but I couldn't think of many ideas. I do have a character who is LGBTQ based, but I still need to work on it a bit. So instead, I decided to have my characters Maxwell and Mai-Ra show that they're proud to be allies of the LGBTQ community, by holding up a pride flag. Despite their differing viewpoints on things, they can both agree on advocating for the rights to all sexualities. I really wanted to draw this because I have been coming across a lot of friends who are part of this community. Whether they're Bi, Pan, or even Ace. Sometimes it's really hard to understand why these people get discriminated. It shouldn't matter who decides to follow what sexuality, because underneath, we're all mostly the same. And until we can all understand that and make peace with the community, I and my characters will continue to stand up for LGBTQ rights.

Decided to branch out a bit and try my hand at drawing one of my characters in a bikini. I went with Mai-Ra because she seemed the most obvious being less prudish (and definitely not demanding more attention). Hopefully I'll have more stuff with her on the way this summer, especially at the beach.

Love Knows No Boundaries by WayCool64

For a long while ever since Dr. Fitzwalter's creation, I've kinda always paired her with Snoopy from Peanuts. Why? Two reasons: 1. I felt sorry for Snoopy every time he was denied in getting a girl, whether he was rejected by his lover's family or his love would have an affair with another dog. 2. Dr. Fitzwalter is more on the serious side of character, but feels the need to be balanced with someone who's not as serious and can just make her smile. And I thought these two would go great, as they could play off of each other's strengths and weaknesses. I'll try to make more of these two when I can.
