He laughed off the shove she gave to his shoulder, it didnât phase him at all and just like everything else when it came to her, he found it amusing. The way she tried to be tough was never lost on him especially since he wasnât buying she was tough at all. Yet there was something so comforting about her presence maybe he secretly liked a challenge. It was something in him that he  obviously hadnât learned yet about himself. âWow. Do you always tell people what to do?â He asked curiously, playfully shoving her back and rubbing at his shoulder only to push it back against her. âI donât care, remember?â He added with a smirk at her reminding him not to call her shorty. He knew she didnât like it, which is exactly why he thought heâd throw it out there again.Â
He joined her in a slump against the wall, looking out at the gathering crowd and letting out a small sigh, âSo, what brings you here? I mean I know what brings you HERE but what brings you HERE? with me, again?â He inquired as he leaned against her shoulder with his elbow. As much as it seemed they couldnât stomach the other, part of him felt as if he had known her for awhile and he couldnât figure out why. Something about the vibe she was giving off and right now he couldnât be happier to see her, something he wasnât ever going to admit to her knowing her wouldnât hear the end of it.
âDo you even know any of these people?â He asked as he shook his head. Looking around he couldnât name much of a single person. He probably should make himself social, peering over the faces of the crowd it made him realizing just how anti-social he had been. âThanks for keeping me company anyway.
Arya looked over to him and scowled, her mood only decreasing as she saw the fleet of bodies pressed together in a tight circle. It wasnât a wave of uncomfortableness that flew over her, it was an anxiety wave, but sheâd never show or mention that. âYes, if I know better,â she said with a snarky bite. Stepping to the side as he shoved her, glaring at him. She didnât understand why, out of all people, he was talking to her. She was the one that pushed everyone away so they indeed wouldnât speak with her. Â âYou do remember, youâre just an ass,â she said with a fake smile.Â
Looking back over at him, she tucked her hands behind her back, pressing against the wall to cool herself off, closing her eyes briefly, hating the situation. âYou came up to me, remember? I have to be at this stupid thing. I would never come here if it wasnât mandatory, and the fact that it IS, pisses me off even more,â she scoffed. She looked over at him, tilting her head, raising an eyebrow in question. âWhy are you here standing next to me? Of all people?âÂ
âI know you and her,â she said pointing to the girl with red hair, over on the dance floor. âThatâs about it,â she scoffed. âYou? Iâm going to assume no, otherwise you wouldnât be talking to the loner in the corner,â she scoffed. âDid I have a choice? You came up to me.âÂ
