it’s really weird to still see people making “thomas jefferson miku binder lol” jokes. like, it’s been years. you know the artist was a black trans teenager, right? you know they were harassed about that particular drawing to the brink of suicide, right? that knowledge got pretty widely spread. how many “jokes” have I seen made where the ~comedian~ is perfectly aware of this and just doesn’t care? I have SEEN people get told this and react by going “well idk I already posted about it and like it’s funny so :/” you wanna make fun of c. 2016 hamilton fandom culture? fine. but there was plenty of that sorta stuff being done by people who weren’t black, trans, and quite literally children. please stop using that particular example.

And still. Dont harrass someone over fictional characters. Musical Thomas Jefferson and historical Thomas Jefferson are different people

Im fine with seeing it on my dash occassionally…Idrc,I can scroll past,its just…out of nowhere in one it turns beetlebabes without a tag or anything even hinting towards that at all.And just…ugh why do some things force ships sometimes?

Not like I hate beetlebabes since usually I can look at the tags then scroll past,and I dont generally like hating on those with a different opinion.But…just tag things.

Have you tried messaging the person and asking nicely? Nicely being a keyword here. Not that you wouldn’t, but that’s an important preface. Maybe they’re new and they just don’t know? Most babes I’ve seen tag things appropriately. I can think of maybe one or two that maybe just don’t it out of spite, but most people actually do it.

Maybe message them. Just an idea. May actually do more than vague posting.

I never said it wasn’t bad. I don’t think it’s right personally, but I have no control over what other people do.

Most beetlebabes shippers tag their stuff.

I tag the hell out of my stuff to make sure people who don’t want to see it don’t if they blacklist tags properly. Or I don’t tag it at all to make sure it doesn’t go in any of the tags. You literally have to follow me to see MOST of my stuff. I certainly don’t want to trigger people on purpose and have always taken tags off when asked politely. I just suggested them asking to tag it. New people come into the fandom all the time and don’t know how the tagging system works so that’s all I was suggesting.

Something that I have noticed is the difference of the fandoms reactions about bmc and beetlejuice closing

When BMC closed other fandoms were like "well there are better musicals" "it wasnt good" or similar things instead of sympathising with the fans(which was the reason i delayed listening to beetlejuice and i dont wanna hear hadestwon,cause this comments were mostly made by people on this fandoms)

But now that beetlejuice is "closing"(you can read everywhere that there will be tours or they will move to another theater) everyone is saying how its not fair or how the company is greedy for following a closure contract and some people are even insulting the musical that is gonna be placed in the theater

Idk where im going with this,just wanted to share my thoughts i guess
