This may be nothing BUT I was listening to Hadestown again as one does and thinking about Jean and Jerejean and Jean trying to follow someone, Kevin/Jeremy out of hades (the nest and its trauma) and how Nora said she wrote so many drafts and he only survived in one, and that line at the end about how we KNOW how the story ends yet we’ll watch and sing it over and over hoping for a different ending each time, but Eva Nobledazza and Reeves Carrey ARE THE DRAFT THAT SURVIVED THEY CHANGED THE ENDING YHEYRE GETTING MARRIED AND JEAN SURVIVED!!!! Poetic idk.

Also DO NOT listen to Hadestwon from the perspective of Orpheus being Neil traveling down to Hades (the nest) to protect Andrew (Eurydice), and then the Wait for me Reprise is Andrew (“You’re a Pipe Dream.”) Minyard letting Neil in and also following him into the FBI interrogation and through everything and staying with him. Just don’t. You’ll cry.

definitely starting to lean more towards the porfirian era and the consequent mexican revolution afterwards. you cannot give me railroad imagery and the notion of economic progress built on the back of the workers and not expect my lil mexican mind to go crazy

I really want to make a TodoDeku or TouTen version of Epic III from Hadestwon.

To have a version of Hades related to greed and avarice and ambition linked to Enji Todoroki.

A version of Persephone tired of his husband seeing her as a possession linked to Rei.

Touya or Shouto as the poet who is desperately trying to convince this old man to let them go with their lover, trying to reach his heart.

Tenko or Izuku as the lover who has lost himself in his necessity and is hearing the poet he loves trying to convince an old king to let them be reunited.

I just love the idea.
