Rehearsal is well under way for Moonlight & Magnolias our first #theatrefest at @lindseywilsoncollege! I love my job.

You know what is so important in this field? Knowing how amazing our lives can be if we just make it that way. Yes I might be a server for a long time while also working as an actor. Yes I might not get into graduate school right now. Yes I might have a rough go of it for a while. Yet I still want nothing more than to work in this. I have created so many different venues for myself because I know how talented I am and how many skills I have. I have already worked professionally in what I love as an undergrad. I'm going to do this and that's both terrifying and also freaking amazing.

The fact that I start auditioning for grad schools in less than a month terrifies me. There's a lot going into this. Sleepless nights and monologues that have to be as good as possible and reading everything and ugh. I'm scared.

I need vocal rest. Lord help me I need vocal rest. Between singing in A Christmas Carol and rehearsing for the Messiah Sing that was this week and rehearsing for the concert in the cave tomorrow, I have not had a moment to just not sing, or be onstage, or have to present in class, or have to do a PR event for the show.

This man right here is the absolute best, to be honest. If you don’t know Jeremy, you’re missing out on one of the best friends you will ever have. He is honestly the kind of person who will do absolutely ANYTHING for you and won’t blink an eye about it. I can’t find the words to explain even remotely how amazing Jeremy is. He works so hard and has such ambition that it is undeniably contagious. I can’t even begin to let you all know how much Jeremy has carried me through my first semester here and I wouldn’t be able to do this without him. This boy just makes me so happy and I am so lucky to have him as my best friend.

I just want a green room. I get that the program is new and honestly until I worked professionally this summer, I didn't know what we were missing. With this production of A Christmas Carol, we are in great need of a real green room.
