Character Bio:
Peter Parker has always been the type to keep his plate full. Aside from being a college student double majoring in biology and humanities, he has held the mantle of Spider-Man for about five years now. The first few years of sole naivety passed by rather quickly and he grew into his role as one of New York’s most notorious protectors, even earning himself a spot on the Avengers. Er, more like backup than an official member. But still, not bad, right?
Being Spider-Man took up most of Peter’s life, but he still managed to have moments where he could be a young adult and learn new things about himself. There were things he always enjoyed, like Star Wars or listening to 80’s music on the cracked iPod he’s owned since freshman year of high school. But he’s found joy in other things, such as his newfound freedom in Ned’s and his shared apartment on campus. He also liked he way the barista at his usual cafe always smiled her biggest smile when he walked in; or the way he and the guy who sat next to him in his physics class occasionally stole timid glances at each other. Peter was definitely learning things about himself.
But again, being Spider-Man was his biggest priority. And right now, he was determined to prove himself to the group of heroes he was introduced to a couple of years ago thanks to Tony Stark. Whenever he wasn’t needed by the Avengers, however, he belonged in New York. Peter spends his days and nights swinging from building to building. Years of fighting different forms of crime, from small to potentially world-threatening, made Peter an slowly-hardening force against the dangers facing New York and perhaps a symbol of hope.

Peter got too deep into himself sometimes.
Days didn’t seem like days. Days were missions, journeys, tasks. One thing after another. I have to leave my 4:30 class early, so I can go on patrol, so I can finish my physics paper, so I can go see Mr. Stark, so I can go eat something, so I can go to my 8 o’clock class, and then maybe I can nap for an hour after I go back out on patrol. And that wasn’t including emergencies.
Days weren’t days anymore. They were grueling hours in the muddle of the night and seconds of self-realization while sitting on the top of a building, watching the sun gradually rise on the New York skyline. They were frantic searches from block to block and building to building to find a kidnapped child or track down a robber — sometimes an alien or two nowadays. The world was changing and he could feel it in the way the hairs at the back of his neck stood up.
Sometimes, days consisted of the tears threatening to escape Peter’s eyes as he stared up at the ceiling. He couldn’t sleep because he kept seeing the fact of that girl he couldn’t save. They consisted of Ned’s cheerful voice at the other end of a phone call and the way they always threw popcorn at each other when they rewatched Empire Strikes Back. They consisted of long and quiet subway rides in the middle of the night, trudging block after block until he went to the one place he could just be himself again.
“Peter? Are you alright?”
Peter wasn’t a kid anymore. He’d given up being a kid years ago. He’d willingly chosen to give up living and survived by fleeting smiles and stolen moments. And sometimes that felt okay. Like he could make a life out of these broken moments. But sometimes, Peter felt like he could literally disappear in the midst of the chaos.
“I’m ok, Aunt May.”
His voice was firm. Strong. Even if it faltered at the last syllable when he felt a comforting hand brushing over his hair. Peter was home – at the one place he could fall apart and be vulnerable without dire consequences. But when he opened his eyes and found a warm and trusting gaze on him, he held back those tears of frustration pricking at the corner of his eyes. He had to be strong. For himself, for her, for Ned, for New York. And perhaps soon, for the world.
So he kept the act up for another year, another month, another week, and another day.

in the rules it says you don't allow indie rp on the side, and I was wondering if you could clarify what that means?
So that's a part of our original rules. This was a private/closed group rp on Tumblr for 3+ years, so we didn't allow indie accounts to join (meaning you couldn't rp with another Tony Stark that wasn't the group's Tony.)This is vastly different now considering this will all be on discord. URLS will not be an issue. Hope this helped!
