For a couple years now, Iāve been thinking about starting a vlog. The only reason I didnāt was because I didnāt think anyone would watch it. (Plus, who likes hearing their own voice on camera? I feel like no one likes that.) Now, Iāve got Jaxson and Iām not sure if thatās what gave me the extra push to finally do it or if I have just decided that I donāt care if anyone watches it or not but this is a huge step for me. Hopefully someone will be even a little bit entertained but even if that isnāt the case Iām proud of myself for putting this out there and giving it a try because isnāt that where you find life can be the most fun? So if youāre interested, here it is. Check it out.

So Iām going to be starting a website and YouTube channel! Iām so beyond excited. I will share the link here as soon as it is up and running.
I love being a mom. I wouldnāt mind having more kids but godddddd I hated being pregnant
Dad goals. (via megsullivan07)
Public service announcement: do not ever touch a black childās hair.
Tell all your friends. Keep your hands to yourself. This is not a petting zoo and my child is not for touching.
My daughter had a free hair day today. Her dad took her to the store and some random white lady touched her hair. Thatās why I hover over her at the store. Iāve almost punched people, Iāve grabbed them by their wrists and theyāll try that shit again.
DONāT TOUCH BLACK PEOPLEāS HAIR. DO NOT TOUCH BLACK CHILDREN. DO NOT TOUCH MIXED RACE CHILDREN. IT ISNāT JUST HAIR IT IS CONTROL OVER THEIR BODIES. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TOUCH THEIR BODIES OR HAIR.
Iām not ready for the day someone tries to touch my childās hair without permission. I might lose it.

My baby is six months old today and Iām just like no way. Thatās not possible.

Before I had Jaxson earthquakes were no big deal. Now I feel like my reaction time is too slow and itās honestly horrifying. I mean yes it is only 5 am. My response time isnāt ever lightning fast at 5 am but still.

Iām in that phase where I donāt want to hear anymore drama because I have enough going on in my life right now.

iām sorry
me hanging out with black people in the summer:Ā āaye, yall donāt forget to put on sunscreenā
them:Ā
@flipflibberinflippinghell
Use the Walgreens Brand which is pretty cheap and it does wonders and doesnāt leave me with a white cast. And Iām dark as hell so I hate looking ashy but not all sunscreens are made equally and itās one of the better ones Iāve used.
Wait cocoa/shea butter and coconut oil donāt protect you from the sun we really do need sunscreen??
Yea fam. All that āwe donāt need sunscreenā shit is a myth. Combine that with the fact that most dermatologists donāt know how to spot skin cancer in Black people and itās a nasty combination.
Yeah, itās harder for us to get it but when we do itās deadly. I know two people who died of skin cancer, both were Black.
āWhile incidence of melanoma is higher in the Caucasian population, a July 2016 study in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology showed it is more deadly in people of color. African American patients were most likely to be diagnosed with melanoma in its later stages than any other group in the study, and they also had the worst prognosis and the lowest overall survival rate.ā

Sorry about the link, Iām on mobile. But this is from August 2016, which I know isnāt the most recent but itās still SUPER IMPORTANT. Yāall please wear sunscreen. With Google itās even easy to find smaller, Black-owned brands.
https://blackgirlsunscreen.com/ is Black-owned!
MAKE SURE YOU TELL TEACHERS AND CHILDCARE PROVIDERS TO PUT SUNSCREEN ON YOUR BABY.
Because they will skip your Black child.
^^^^ Super important

Hereās a decent reference on oil spfs! Red raspberry seed oil with carrot oil and coconut oil would be a nice blend.
Iāve never burned but Iām honestly scared of skin cancer. Iāve known a couple people who had it and not a single one said they wouldnāt go back and wear sunscreen if they could. I mean why not take the extra precautions just in case.

Anyone else do a vlog?
Iām trying to compile a list of things Iāll need if I do it from my phone.
