Wanted to test out a marker set I got recently
So decided to go with Connor due to his mostly brown color palette
I was pleasantly surprised with how clean my lineart turned out
Unfortunately, either the markers are terrible quality, or I am unworthy of using them (or the secret third option of both) but I definitely ruined this
I wish I had used watercolors on this, it would've turned out so good 💔

I'm hearing a lot of things on both sides of opinions about resynced, ngl I'm too broke for it, and even if I weren't, my pc wouldn't be able to handle it lmaoo (indirectly, I'm too broke for it²)
Bit of a controversial opinion, but I really don't like how saturated and polished the resync looks, the moody muddiness and dark shading in the original just gives it a dirtier look best suited for a pirate vibe
The cutscenes I've seen also have a bit of the AC: Shadows issue of looking robotic/ the characters having done botox and looking expressionless
(Especially the Blackbeard cutscene remake. He looks amazing. But idk man. His face doesn't really move. Why'd he go for that facial, he was fine in the og 😭)
And I also hate how Edward looks, compared to the old one. He just feels off.

I was hesitant to draw him in his assassin outfit, it looked quite complicated 😅

(I just love when he sits backwards on a chair. Yes king, you're so cool and intimidating ✨)
At first I didn't really vibe with him, as he was quite the whiplash from Haytham's witty sarcastic demeanor (and of course, being used to Ezio's charming nature), but -and I might get some hate for this- after playing through Liberation, I was more than happy to return to AC3, having missed his flat sarcasm with Washington and his 'gentle giant' vibe with the people at the homestead.
I don't know why, but I absolutely despised liberation. Whereas Connor felt too stoic, Aveline felt too cliché and emotional. Getting sentimental over the locket of her lost mother trope? Check. Evil stepmother killing beloved father trope? Check. Adorkable side character that has a crush on her? Check. Arc of going against the mentor because she believes in herself more than him, for the conflict? Check. I don't know. It felt like she was an animal companion away from being a Disney princess with a sword
I gotta say though, I love her character design (but I'll probably never open liberations again)
I'm not saying he should be the main character of ac3, but I think I'm speaking on behalf of everyone when I say that no one would complain if the DLC was about his past, instead of the AU Connor we got (don't get me wrong, I love Connor as much as the next guy, but I wish we got to see more of Haytham)

Is it just me or do all in-game models of like.. Most if not all characters have the same eye color? Like. I know in the descriptions they say blue or gray or amber. But they all look hazel/greenish to me. Maybe I need to get my eyes checked
(Especially La Volpe. His eyes do not look VIOLET in the slightest, as it said in his character description in the animus database. I feel scammed 🥀 )
