the stingrays at the touch tank just now were acting pretty cautious around the people reaching in, getting really close but staying juuuust too far for anyone to touch, and this ten year old boy in a fnaf tshirt told me, exasperated, "the stingrays are ragebaiting us!!"

Poppy and the Prototype were created using the same mechanism, but while the Prototype is (practically) a copy of himself, Poppy is a copy of Elliotâs memories of his daughter. Shadow, similarly, is a copy of how Elliot perceives himself. To give a slightly clearer example:

The problem with Shadow is the conflict between objective memories and self-interpretation. How is it possible that an exemplary family manâgood, kind, merciful, selflessâcould coexist with a brutal, apathetic, and ferocious man who savagely exploits children and adults under his care?
