In this episode: the Prototype brings out the big guns and calls his sister to ask her for advice. In my story, despite the abuse she has suffered, Poppy feels an overwhelming sense of guilt towards the other experiments. In her view, being forced to give up one’s identity is a more brutal form of torture than being dissected alive. Bunzo seems to have already started to change her mind about the Prototype.

(Originally, it was Preston who was giving the Prototype advice, but I decided to go in this direction because, in my opinion, it’s more entertaining)

Small curiosity I think it's worth mentioning: Kissy isn’t actually ‘speaking’ here, but her body language as a whole is interpreted by those around her as if she were actually saying words. Basically, in my headcanon, the experiments have been living in this state for so long that they have developed their own language, which allows them to communicate effectively with one another despite their severe limitations (such as a lack of facial expression or inability to form words). Which means ( other small curiosity) that the overly exaggerated facial expressions you see in the comics are the result of the interpretation of the characters' body language. (Because the comics are from the point of view of the experiments.)

Little Riley is alive! And she’s giving Bunzo all sorts of relationship advice that she probably read in a shity teen magazine. Riley is probably the most “normal” person in the whole factory, since her transformation took place so close to the Hour of Joy, and she wasn’t subjected to the brainwashing that all the other test subjects were. For this reason, Riley always goes by her real name, while Bunzo, with very few exceptions, uses her factory name. She and Francesca (aka Bunzo) met at the Playtime Co. orphanage.

The Prototype, hoping to win Bunzo’s favor, searched the entire factory for Riley to reunite her with her friend, but his need to control everything thwarts his efforts. However, the fact that Bunzo is showing small signs of rebellion proves that, despite everything, this new situation is doing the little girl good.

Hey I got a question, is bunzo bunny trans like she wants to be a boy?

Not in this case. She was simply unlucky because she was assigned a male identity, which was then reinforced through brainwashing. So, even though Bunzo knew the truth, at some point she had to give in and adopt the identity imposed on her. She needs a little more time to reacquaint herself with her true identity now.

(In a way, though, I think Francesca/Bunzo’s situation can be interpreted somewhat as a trans-fem allegory (?), since she’s a young girl who was assigned a “male” body.. idk)

I understand if the doubt stems from this exchange (?)

But Bunzo’s comment here is simply her downplaying herself, since she doesn’t feel mature enough to have the qualities Riley mentions. Bunzo is basically saying, “I lack an interesting personality and I don’t have any feminine charm I can use.”
