We Could Be Heroes
That’s gonna be me when my alarm goes off tomorrow morning. Good night all.
The person I reblogged this from is someone I enjoy seeing on my dashboard.
“Trust me.”
“Hmm, let me consider that.” Spike said, going for a thinking man pose.
“I’d endure my own crucifixion than afford you trust, love.”
They call me the wanderer Yeah, the wanderer I roam around, around, around
Misery Loves Company
His maddening grin caused a small smirk of her own to tug at the corners of her lips and she looked up at the male with interest. Even though he sometimes got under her skin with his ego, it didn’t stop him from being interesting to the darkling. She enjoyed his company, considering she was coming by every night.
“Queen of the Damned?” Lydia laughed quietly and quirked a brow as if to say ‘are you kidding me?’. Curiosity had her perking up and she looked over in the direction he gestured at. Lydia loved the architecture of the old weathered building.
“Is it something grotesque?” Lydia was already walking toward the mausoleum with interest before she looked back over to Spike and frowned. “–Uh, what if I said they’re back at the house?”
“What, don’t like it?” He asked, raising an eyebrow as he gestured for her to follow him. “I put my all into that one, pet. How about Shelley then? You certainly love your Gothic genre.” He said, always enjoying his ritual of assigning nicknames to others.
He chuckled at her question, shrugging as they got closer to the mausoleum. “Guess you’ll just have to come and see then, won’t you?” He teased as he moved ahead of her and kicked the doors open to his lair.
Before he let her enter, he held up a hand and glared at her. “Then I’d say you’re a real bitch when you want to be and I might have to reconsider allowing you to enter my humble abode.” He stated, though he still seemed to have a humorous air about him. “That is, unless you can promise me you’ll return them to me after I show you what’s inside.”
Lydia’s eyes narrowed in question at the mention he lived through the gothic era and looked up to give his face and wardrobe choice a look as her brain tried to figure out what exactly he meant. Of course the first thing her brain went to was the possibility of him being a ghost but the more she thought about it, she assumed he was just being a wise-ass.
Of course she was too caught up in the what ifs to realize there was soon to be another undead rising.
“Cemetery, yes.” She ignored the bit about him. “Now it’s my turn, who are you?”
Spike planted his boot down harder on the hand, feeling a few crunches here and there. He didn’t appreciate someone turning this bastard without his permission, but then again he never paid too much attention to his minions to begin with. He frowned as he inspected his boot and saw some lasting damage on the bottoms thanks to that sod’s fingernails.
“Who am I?” He repeated as he stood up and put out his arms as if to signal he should be worshiped. “Who am I?”
“I’m the big bad around h--” And just as he prepared to answer her question, the fledgling’s hand broke out of the ground and wrapped around his ankle. Spike fell over and lost his chance at a grand introduction ceremony. “Oh for the love of--” Many words followed that should never have fallen on such a young lady’s ears, but Spike didn’t care. He got to his feet and grabbed the whelp’s hand, yanking it out of the ground while it scrambled to its feet. Spike reached into his duster for a stake and peered down at his foolish fledgling. “Hate to break it to you mate, but you just sealed your sodding fate.” Seems like the poet was still in Spike tonight as he staked the vampire right in its heart, the creature now dissolving into dust. He turned around and faced her once again as he pocketed the stake.
“I’m Spike, and you are?” He asked nonchalantly.
“There’s something you need to know about me.”
“If it’s that you have tendencies to be as broody as Angel, I’m well aware. You’d better have woken me up for a bloody good reason.”
“I don’t want this.”
Spike gave a flat laugh as he easily broke the handcuff that restrained him to the bed. He’d gone to great lengths to ensure this would be a night to remember, but clearly when a soulless vampire puts forth effort, it’s not enough.
“Right then. You know where Angel is, so go get your hunting kicks from him then. I’m done being your bloody toy.”

Lydia’s eyes were focused on the ground, not wanting to look anywhere else because she was afraid she’d just end up having another break down. It was one of the reasons she had to get out of the house, even though she knew her parents had left for the city for an exhibit and wouldn’t even be there now.
Part of her didn’t even want to go back. Maybe they wouldn’t even notice her nonexistence.
Spike’s offer pulled the girl from her morbid thoughts and she reluctantly looked up through her bangs at the other, searching his face before exhaling a soft, shaky sigh. He wasn’t making fun or teasing her, which surprised Lydia considering that usually was the outcome. Her expression showed exhaustion that even sleep wouldn’t cure but she offered up the faintest of smiles.
“I think I’d like that.” There was no denying that they both shared a mutual enjoyment of darker things in life.
Spike couldn’t stand most of the folks meandering about this town, but some made exceptions to the rule. Lydia was one of the select few he could tolerate. Her and the barkeeps--oh the barkeeps.
At her answer, a mad grin replaced his already conniving smirk. He jumped up and adjusted his duster as he peered down at her. “Right then, love. Actually, no, you’re now the official Queen of the Damned of this suburban dump. Come along then, got something nice to show you in the mausoleum.” He said, gesturing to the large pillared construct in the middle of the cemetery. “By the way, can I have my smokes back now?”
“I’m not afraid of you.” ~Damon
Spike lit up a cigarette and smirked at the other vampire. He could smell it all on him: the blood lust, the thrill of the hunt, and the--
“Oh, look what we have here. An American vampire, how original these days. You smell like sodding Southern Comfort, you twat!” He chided as he circled the other vampire, puffing smoke his way until they were practically nose-to-nose.
“Listen here, ninny: I’m the vampire to fear around here. Why don’t you go crawl back into whatever frat-boy infested university you slithered out of and leave Sunnydale to the big bad, yeah?” He said as he flicked his cigarette at the whelp.
White Wedding - Billy Idol (Billy Idol, 1982)
A scoff escaped the girl and she gave a shrug of her shoulders, giving the male a long look. Unsure whether or not she wanted to give too much information away about herself but honestly, how often did she really have anyone but a couple of ghosts to talk to?
“Does one really need a reason?” Lydia questioned, her pale hands slipping under her thighs as she looked down at her lap. “What’s wrong with a girl wearing what she likes without being lumped into a scene? I don’t need someone else judging my choices.” She sighed out, a faint frown tugging at her lips.
“If you really must know, I just have a love of all things strange and unusual.”
“Of course one needs a bloody reason! I lived through the sodding Gothic age, so I think I’m entitled to a bit of judgment here.” He remarked as he let her continue.
He returned the shrug of shoulders and sighed. He peeped beneath his foot and felt one of the new fledglings trying to break through the dirt. Poor fellow was having a rough go. Spike’s steel-toed boot probably didn’t help his fingers though.
His attention went back to the other when she finished speaking. “A love of all things strange and unusual? Must be why you’re talking to a handsome chap like myself in the middle of a cemetery.”
Vampire/Victim Sentence Starters
For vampires ——————– “Have you ever wanted to live forever?” “Are you afraid of me?” “You look…delicious.” “Don’t be afraid.” “Let’s be together forever.” “I think we need some time, just the two of us.” “Trust me.” “I know what’s best for you.” “It’ll only hurt a little bit.” “It’ll be over soon.” “There’s something you need to know about me.” “You can’t resist immortality.”
For victims ——————– “I’m not afraid of you.” “I’m afraid of you.” “I want to be with you forever.” “I’m not so sure about this…” “I don’t want this.” “I want this.” “When I look at you, I feel hypnotized.” “Yes, Master.” “I’m yours.” “I trust you.” “I don’t trust you.” “You’re so pale.” “Your teeth…”
I think I’m gonna switch my url back to thebigbadisback just for the whole Halloween season. Maybe longer. Who knows? 8)
