‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the barracks,
Not a knight was stirring, not even the cleric;
Their armour was set aside with care,
Ready at a moment’s notice as none would fight bare!
Each knight was all snug up in their beds,
While their PTSD created visions of war in their heads,
The lawbringers in their bunks and the wardens across the hall,
Slept better than the deer up on the knoll-
When out in the kitchen there arose such a clatter,
A warden sprang from her bed to see what was the matter!
Down the hall she flew like a flash,
Tearing open the door while tying her sash,
The moon shining through the window,
giving lustre to the room below;
when what to her wondering eyes should appear,
but a lone figure crouching upon a makeshift tier,
Looking guilty as fuck,
almost like a sitting duck!
Before the warden could recover,
The shinobi decided it was time to scatter!
Racing away so lively and quick,
Taking the food and last of the nesquick!
The warden turned and called for her companions by name:
Come Damer, Porron, Nen, and Vox!
Quickly, Mau, now! Quinlan, Ronn, and Trox!
A weeb has raided the pantry of the meat and bread!
Im sorry to say she’s taken our christmas mead!
No sooner was the warden finished,
When backup arrived,
Three lawbringers and five sleepy-eyed warden,
All desperate to save their drinks (just like all men)!
So after the shinobi they flew,
stumbling and cursing in pursuit of their brew,
no match for the shinobi’s grace and speed,
giving her the advantage as well as the lead!!
Through the forest they tore,
one weeb and nine knights as a cleric recorded the chase for the lore,
specifically how the lawbringers dropped out of the chase first,
panting and complaining of how their lungs may burst,
the wardens forcing themselves to continue on,
though they too quit before the dawn!
For the shinobi had made it back to her friend,
the weeb no doubt grateful for her zen,
making it home safe and sound,
with enough mead for another round!!
Drinking from the flask she flashed a smile so white,
wishing all a happy christmas and good night.
