“The zoo is probably still open, Julian... let’s just go there until it closes...” Milo shook his head a little, trying to shake off that ridiculous idea. Even if, in another time, he would have thought breaking in was a good idea. Now, though, it was too risky. They could get caught. They could get separated. They might never see each other ever again. Milo wouldn’t let that happen, not if he could prevent it. “Get a sweatshirt, Julian. It’ll get cold.”

“Break in?!” Milo’s head whipped around so fast, his neck looked like it was about ready to snap. Eyes narrowed at Julian. He’d already begun to grab a sweatshirt when Julian suggested the idea and the fabric now barely clung to the tips of his fingers, sliding slowly off then, about to drop to the floor. “We’re not breaking in.. it’s light out. It’s probably open..”
