"Ah, so we’re close? That’s good."

Looking toward where she pointed and spotting the shop, Riley had to admit, it looked rather lovely. Even the name was much nicer than his silly little shop’s name.

"You wouldn’t mind if I looked around a bit? Like I said, I do need to buy a new flower before Leavanny notices."

Erika stepped behind the counter and left the man for a moment, heading into the back and placing down the kimono. She walked back into the main shop area and watched him. "Go ahead, look to your heart's content," she said with her smile returning.

"If you wanted, I could make you a bouquet... but it would cost you. I could make it Iris-based, since that's what your Leavanny seems to enjoy." She walked over to a small glass-door fridge and pointed to a few bouquets. "Here are some, if you're interested."

Erika then walked back behind the counter and reached underneath, grabbing a few roses, irises, and daisies. "There's also some singles, which are a lot cheaper."

"I’m glad you think so!" Riley chuckled, and placed his hands in his pockets whilst walking, listening to her answer his own questions.

"Attractive Pokemon, eh? Well, I suppose thats one way of liking Pokemon." He smiled lightly, before adding on. "You certainly have a way of seeing things." Stopping in his tracks for a moment, before laughing at himself hollowly. "I’ve never thought of it like that.." Shaking his hand in dismissal, he flashed another calm smile before continuing on. "Nevermind. How much further is your shop?" Riley asked.

"A way of seeing things?" She tilted her head in confusion. "I've never really heard anyone say something like that to me before." She shrugged the comment off and continues to walk.

Erika furrowed her eyebrows as he laughed. "What is he laughing about? Is he laughing at me?" She thought, starting to feel a bit hurt. She looked down at the ground and played with the straps of the bag around her wrist.

"Oh, it isn't that far. We're almost there," She said quietly. "In fact, it's right over there." She pointed ahead at a little two-story building with vines growing down the corners. "The one that says Royal Roses Floral on the window."

A few more steps and they had reached the shop. She pulled the key from her pocket and unlocked the door. "Well, here we are."

"Clothes huh..? Well, it’s not the making of clothes I like.. but more the expressions on peoples faces when they like something I make." He smiled at the ground while walking. "So I guess I like making clothes people like. As long as they’re happy, I’m happy."

Her small barrage of questions left Riley feeling a bit like she was trying to get inside his head, even though he knew she wasn’t. "Favourite colour…?" He murmured. "I like blues, yes. Any shade, really. Um, Krabby isn’t my favourite Pokemon no… Nor is Paras.. But I guess I do like flowers, but only at certain times."

Continuing to walk through the through the town square, he began to look around it. Riley didn’t go out very much just for his own leisure, so he’d never really taken in the town itself. It was a lovely looking town. "Mm, what about you? Um.. give me your answers to that barrage I just got hit with?"

Erika nodded as he answered all her questions. "That shows you're a good person, if you enjoy making people happy," she replied with a smile. "And your clothes are amazing."

She let out a small chuckle as she listened to him. He seemed to be a bit confused by all her questions which she found quite funny. It was silent for only a moment before he asked his question.

"Oh, did I really ask that many? I apologize," Erika said quietly, looking down at the ground. She looked back up at Riley and let out a sigh. "I guess I'll answer them too. You already know that I like flowers, but I also love to have sleep. Um, I don't have a favorite color because every color is beautiful. And I only like attractive pokemon, such as Vileplume and Lilligant."

He smiled and waved his hand lightly in dismissal.

"The town is lovely, I’ll agree. You should go there sometime. Oh and no, your ranting is fine, don’t worry about it!" Riley nodded calmly again, listening to her talk about how she might go to where his Leavanny picked random flowers. "I’m not too sure how many sorts are there, but she does bring back a lot of different sorts."

Moving from behind the counter to the part of the shop where Erika was, Riley quietly opened the door for her to slip out of before walking out himself, turning the sign so it showed the ‘CLOSED’. "So, shall you lead the way then?"

Erika thought for a moment. "Well maybe she goes to different spots? I know that certain wildflowers only grow together. I bet Vileplume would be able to find them. He thinks flowers are his friends. It's a little funny."

She noticed Riley move from behind the counter and grabbed the bag before she walked to the door. She slipped through as he was still opening it and waited outside. Once he was outside she turned towards the square and began to walk.

"So, Riley, what do you like? I take it you like clothes, since you are a tailor. But what else do you like?"

"What's your favorite color? Is it blue? Do you like Krabby? How about Paras? Do you like flowers?"

He chuckled slightly. “That explains the flowers.”

Riley sighed as he turned his head momentarily to the vase before back to the black haired woman. "My Leavanny picked it nearby. I don’t know where she goes.." Listening while she spoke, Riley nodded his head as she explained the meanings. "I see. Well, I’m glad nothing silly’s behind it."

Shaking her hand softly, he smiled and dropped his hand back to his side. "Lovely to meet you too, Erika." He thought of what to say for a moment. "Would you like me to walk you back? The least I can do is do that since you did just buy something rather expensive from me. And I think I should get another flower for that vase before Leavanny finishes cleaning."

Erika nodded. "I've loved flowers my whole life. I've always hoped to visit Sinnoh; I always hear stories about a town filled with flowers," She said, letting out a small laugh. "I'm sorry, I'm ranting."

She clasped her hands together and smiled big, listening to Riley talk and watching him listen when she spoke. "Oh, so you pokemon finds it? How interesting. Maybe I should bring Vileplume with me next time..." She mumbled.

Erika, hands still together, nearly jumped from enjoyment at his offer. Having someone to walk with always made for a good time. Even if a word wasn't spoken, just being with someone made her happy. "That would be wonderful!"

"Well, that Aaron boy isn't too shabby. And that tailor, Riley; I've heard that he has quite the behind."

Smiling, Riley nodded his head lightly. 

"It would be nice for those, I’d agree, Miss." He paused for a moment. "You seem to like flowers.. don’t you?"

He shrunk back even more as warning signs went off in his head. Perhaps he wouldn’t get a sale today. "I c-can lower it if you like.." He was too quiet as she seemed to decide while he was talking. "It’s just silk is expensive and I’m throwing in the obi as well."

Taking the money quietly, he turned around and began to look for the bags he folded the clothes in neatly to. Taking a bag and placing it on the counter, he turned to a small vase in the corner of the room that his Leavanny liked to place flowers from a nearby flower patch into. Quickly folding the kimono and placing it into the bag, he walked over to the vase and took a flower from it. "I’m not to good with flower meanings but.." He stared at it for a few moments. "But an iris doesn’t have anything silly behind it, I hope."

Placing it into the bag, Riley held out the bag and smiled. "I’m Riley, by the way. Pleasure to make your acquaintance. And you are?"

Erika looked up at the man as he talked. The second he mentioned flowers, her smile returned. "Yes! I own a flower shop not too far away, actually."

She watched the man fold up the kimono and couldn't stop thinking of when she could go home and wear it. Her sparkling eyes followed the man as he moved around behind the counter. When he grabbed a flower from the vase, she tilted her head slightly. As he came closer, she saw it was an iris. It was freshly picked and well watered, almost better than the irises she had at her shop.

"Oh wow, what a beautiful iris. Where did you get this?" Erika asked. "Oh, you want the meaning of this? Well, there's a lot of different meanings for each flower depending on the person. I feel that an iris represents inspiration and wisdom. Some people think it means friendship, some think it means guidance."

She closed her eyes and let out a small sigh. When she heard the man speaking again, she opened them and smiled at him. "Riley, hm? Very nice to meet you." She held out her hand to shake. "My name is Erika."

"My first kiss? It was a magical moment. It was my first love. When I was only 14, my best friend kissed me. We dated for awhile, but then we had to break it off when I moved to Nocturne. She promised to write me letters, but she didn't contact me until recently. She's married now."

Pursing his lips, he placed his finger lightly on one of the silk kimonos, accented with darker pink waterlily like flowers on it.

"I think.." Riley paused for a minute, trying to think of what to say without sounding like he was hitting on her. "You’d look nicer in this one."

At first he was confused on why she just chose the flower styled ones, but decided that she just liked the flower designs. They were nice, he had spent a lot of time on them.

"So, let’s see.." He murmured as he moved back behind the counter. "Like I said, they’re expensive.. so that’ll be.. A thousand?"

He shrank back a bit, scared that she would’ve been surprised but the price and would’ve backed out, considering it was expensive.

Erika clasped her hands together and smiled. "I was starting to like that one more. I'm glad you think it would look good!" She was so happy. She loved when people agreed with her.

Her eyes scanned the kimono again. The silk was of top quality. The flowers looked as if they had been painted by the gods. She loved it so much. "It would be perfect for spring festivals. Oh, and a stroll through the wildflowers."

Erika smile suddenly disappeared as the man mentioned the price. She looked up at him with a surprised expression.

"One- One thousand?" She stuttered. She glanced down at the kimono, up at the man, then back down to the kimono. She let her hand run over the silk again. "I want it so much... It's so nice...
