Megumi is a GAY he's a GAY QUEER
I like the idea that he's like me, like he's very aroace but still mildly attracted to men to some degree.
- no real crushes he's never had one except Itadori, so he doesn't really know what to do with it
- his feelings for Itadori are kinda romantic but mostly he just wants to cuddle with him
- he secretly wishes people would stfu about romance a bit because he doesn't care
- he doesn't watch much TV or consume much romantic media so his only exposure to romance is his parents' relationship (straight, booty cheeks bad example) and gojo pining for geto (gay, questionable, are we deadass)
- bless nobara she doesn't talk about men all the time so he likes hanging out w her for that, though that's probably because she likes women hashtag lesbian nobara supremacy
- he never talks to her about Itadori unless she asks him questions, and he won't go on and on about him either. She'll ask Megumi about Itadori and Megumi will start off like "oh he has a pretty smile, I like his fluffy hair, he's strong and has a good heart..." And then he'll just taper off and now instead of talking about him he's staring into space thinking about Itadori and all the things he likes about him
- then nobara will glance over at him like uhhh.... Anything else ..? And he'll snap out of his head and be like "oh uh ya no that's it" but she obviously knows he was lost in thought about him.
- Megumi is very smart and is great at reading people, but he still gets surprised when he finds out ppl get a gf/bf/partner because I'm his mind, everyone defaults to being aroace until proven otherwise. He just never thinks about it until it gets brought to his attention so he'll be like ...huh yeah that makes sense I guess..?
Also not an aro ace or gay hc but he loves cuddling his dogs especially to sleep easier bc he gets nightmares
