Today we picked some olives.

Its season and all, and my family has a bunch of olive trees and we pick them to make oil.

Olive trees have mostly two kind of branches: arched ones or straight ones.

The arched ones are the best, 'cause you pick the olives without needing to get on the three. Its faster, easier and you move a lot quicker.

The straight one instead... Are a pain to get, they get really high, impossible to bend in the right direction and most of the time get cutted off.

Today my uncle was cutting some and I was distracted and a couple fell on my head and shoulder quite hard. I didn’t’ notice because I was spacing out, focused on something else when this branches hitted me. It happens, its better if it doesn't, but I didn't get hurt, so its fine.

But I got so scared. It was such a crude break from what I was doing a moment before, calmly picking olives from an already cutted branch, thinking about my stuff and a moment later I was in vague pain and in this weird flashback of when I was 10 year old and taking piano lessons and somehow the keylid suddenly closed. I was able to block it before that heavy piece of wood snapped on my finger breaking them but afterwards I felt the same kind of fear.

I imagine that the flashback was triggered by the same kind of mental state I was in both before and after.

I was so focused on my straight, cutted-off branch, just as I was when I was playing the piano when something went wrong really quick.

But it is not done yet.

I was so upset, for a damn branch that tried and failed to open my thick skull that after I was done with my flashback I started crying.

I lied and said that it was because it hurted.

It did, but it wasn't strictly physical.

I don't exactly fit in my family.

I am the artsy idiot who likes to draw, write, paint, sing, play...... And they don't.

They are nice, smiley and are able to talk to anyone... And I am not.

The have nice smiles and hard hands.

I have soft hands and a serial killer resting face.

But they have always been quite supportive and we are made of the same stuff but we are structurally different.

They are the easy arched branches while I stick in the wrong direction and usually am out of place in the most common thing for them.

Do I need to be cut off too? Is that my destiny?

This morning I never thought I could empatize with a olive branch, but oh well. It is what it is.

Here a few Andromeda and Ted headcanon that I had lying around…

Andromeda is really good at potions and charms, not so great as a dueler, especially if compared to Bellatrix, but she can defend herself enough to save her neck

Good at flying, but not into quidditch

She can have perfect manners, but she love to be relaxed, something which is very frowned-upon at home

She and Ted are the same age: when they are in seventh grade, the marauders are in their first

She help him with flying, he make her listen to amazing muggle music

At first she was intrigued by the fact that he was so different from the people around her (and also hot), and then actually knowing him, she fell for him

Very sweet with Ted, but amazing at the doing the whole “cool, calm and collected”

Lots of dates in the kitchens

He can play guitar and serenade her with ‘70s songs

“You sap” “If it bother you, I can stop” “Don’t you dare”

Ted call her “his little blackbird” (punny, isn’t it?) and he always sing the Beatles’ song to her

The first time, she started crying and he didn’t finish

He is clumsy, but get the beater position in the Hufflpull team (big thanks to Dromeda)

He is not like super clumsy, however he fell a couple of times at Dromeda’s feet, and she always found it extremely amusing

At first she is really insecure about the whole thing. It’s her family, as bad and racist as can be, it’s still all she have

She change her mind when Bella is promised to Rodolphus and the Blacks get closer and closer to the Dark Lord

She doesn’t want to give up on Ted, or be on that side of the battle, and doesn’t want to ends up like her sister

He was worth losing them, even be crucioed by Bellatrix (which, lets face it, knowing Bella, it definitely happened at some point).

Albus is sitting in his study, unable to focus on his work. He was hoping to catch a glimpse of the mysterious man in the graveyard, but the man hasn’t shown up that day and it is all Albus can think about when he hears a knock on his door.

He tries to ignore it, but the visitor knocks again, a bit more impatiently.

Annoyed and not wanting to be disturbed, Albus opens the door, but any word of refusal instantly dies on his tongue as he sees who the insistent visitor is.
