Day 12: A Game Everyone Should Play: Final Fantasy Tactics
I think a lot of games could fit this category, for example Super Mario or any classic game like that, but I chose Final Fantasy Tactics for this category. These are the reasons why…
It has a fantastic, perfectly complex storyline/plot
Is is a fun rpg/strategy-game hybrid
It has good music
It has customisable characters
It has well-developed characters
It has an engaging battle system
Final Fantasy Tactics just has really damn good gaming elements. Its genre is a mix of rpg and platform/strategy. The storyline of the game is absolutely amazing and is enough itself to want to keep you playing. Its storyline is very full of plot twists with its plot involving… -Corruption -Behind-the-scenes good guys and bad guys -Politics -Religion -Nobility and social placement in society -The nature of morality It is a heavy plot to digest and at many times it can seem like a whirlwind to understand. There are especially times where you think you know what is going on, then a few scenes later the game throws you for a loop and you’re back at almost square one in figuring out the mystery. The game’s plot keeps you on your toes and is awesome about doing that because a game that is too predictable can be mundane and boring. A basic run-down of the story, trying to avoid spoilers would be: Ramza Beoulve, a young man of noble heritage must decide whether his status within the noble class of society is more important than his own personal moral code. To find his answers, he must face the realities of the world and the fact that the class hierarchy which he has been raised in and surrounded by is filled with religious and political corruption. After he witnesses events which shake him to his core regarding the gilded veneer of the high-class noble lifestyle he’s known all his life, he begins to question his life and moral standing as a person of nobility. He begins questioning the morality of living in a world where the high-class nobles and leaders refuse to see how their actions hurt those of lower classes and who think nothing of treating common people as unequal. On the surface of society, the major issue at hand is that the land is in an upheaval over who should take the throne. However, something more sinister is at work behind the scenes using the upheaval as a front to cover its tracks. The more sinister plot revolves around the government and their engagement in the legend of the zodiac braves, mystical stones which sealed the Lucavi: demons from the ancient past. These stones are slowly cropping up in the political and religious spectrum of society by its established members. This new development causes a corrupt imbalance in the world of government, and uncovering who and what is behind the re-emergence of the Lucavi is ultimate goal of the game’s adventure. Usually this is definitely a game which I would normally recommend to only seasoned gamers who’ve dealt with strategy before. I would keep my recommendation exclusive because of this game’s more complex playing style and heavy story. But because it is fun and exhilarating for any who plays it, I’d say it is definitely a game for all gamers, new and old. The game has a lot of fun elements to it, such as… -Customisation of characters -A large selection of job classes -Said job classes each have different useful attacks, spells, and skills for characters to master -3D-like battlefields -Cool attack/spell animations -Side quests galore -Hidden characters The game itself is a bit older (playstation era) and the graphics aren’t as nice as something modern and super enhanced as we have now. However, the game has been revamped a time or two, so it stays up-to-date and relevant easily enough. The art designs are really cool as well. So I say to anyone who is a gamer, go out and pick up a copy of this awesome masterpiece of a game. I personally vouch for the original though. But either way, this game is wonderful and a must-play for any gamer. Even if someone isn’t big on this genre, it is a nice taste into the realm of rpgs while holding its own with fun, interactive strategic elements, and also a good story with awesome gameplay.

The trick is to SUPPRESS YOUR WERE-ANIME-SELF UNTIL YOU LURE SOMEONE INTO A FRIENDSHIP THEN LET IT SHOW ALL AT ONCE WHEN YOU INVITE THEM OVER AND SEND THEM AWAY WITH 10 GBS OF “SHOWS THEY NEED TO WATCH” BUT THEY ARE ALL JUST MADOKA.
