We -- lots of us who live and work in this town -- have been alternating between calling our behavior for at least the last 24 hours -- honest, our behavioral quirks started before the game and manifested themselves throughout the city causing us to, for awhile, mistakenly blame the new moon or, in some cases, the sudden revelation that the quasi-public Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) has bought the building housing Rohs, the last and long-loved hardware store in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, and the store will go out of business in January -- anyway, we've been alternating between calling our collective citywide behavior "4 errors and out" and "the days and nights we lost in the lights." And we've been saying of 3CDC, "They don't grow, they metastasize." At least for the Reds there's a sliver of hope this side of chemo or radical surgery. Maybe.
