The Team Contagion group did sound intriguing and quite determined to do what they want. Buying and stealing Pokemon, but for what reason? There was always a motive to everything. Of course, Axel was much more interested in figuring out their motives, rather than to just take them down. With just the little resources he had alone, Axel had no chance of taking them down, those kinds of situations only happened in video games. But, when looking into Jax's eyes, Axel could see a determination to take them down for all that they are worth. Or for the little worth they were. Maybe with the three of them, they could take down the organization.

Reflecting on Jax's comments, Axel nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Same." It's already been a couple months with the group and he's enjoyed nearly every second of it, given the circumstances. "I think our team works together well, thanks to the guardians and Azalea. But, I don't think I would've stayed in it if it weren't for you and Brienne. It wouldn't be the same experience without you two." Axel smiled a bit before looking up at the sky. The stars were all ones he didn't recognized, knowing all the stars in the sky back home. For a moment, Axel had some time to relax with Jax. The last time it was just them, it was their little pizza date in Viridian.

"So, what do I have to do to cheer you up, hm?" Axel asked with a bit of a smirk, figuring Jax would want to determine the course of the night.

Jax looked up at Axel now when he mentioned him and Brienne. The same thought did occur to him too. This journey has been fun but it's been scary for him. He's already been through a lot with his own Pokemon and with himself. "To be honest, if it weren't for you and Brienne, I would left. A lot has happened that has scared me. But I know with you two around, I'm okay. Everything will be okay." He gave Axel a light smile. He meant that much to Jax.

When asked what they should do for the night, Jax sat there for a second, with his tongue in his cheek. Hmm... he hummed, trying to think. He scooted closer to Axel so that they were touching. "Since we kissed that night, I've honestly just want to be closer to you. You're an interesting person." Jax laughed a little. "Let's just sit here and hang out. That's good enough for me." Jax kind of wanted to do more than just sit. But he wasn't going to push it.

As soon as Axel sat down with the man, he knew that something wasn’t right. He wasn’t his typical lively self. And, even for someone like Axel, that was not hard to figure out. Though he had never experienced a kidnapping, the loss of your Pokemon is all to well known to him. There have been multiple times when he had to give up Pokemon, either of old age or sickness. He knew that gut wrenching, twisting feeling one got when losing something, especially when it came to your companions. Axel could understand the pain he was going through. Fortunately, he hadn’t lost Cocoa forever. 

Axel looked towards the ground as Jaxson talked, listening to his words in the most genuine fashion. “Yeah. That’s not easy.” For some reason, a thought crossed his mind that. he was the cause of the kidnapping. A sweeping feeling of guilt filled him. “A weeks back, someone was trying to buy my Pokemon. Maybe they were part of the same program.” Axel kept his mouth shut about who that person was. He didn’t want to have another rousing conversation with her. Axel put his hand on Jaxson’s shoulders, “At least you have Cocoa. Thankfully, she wasn’t gone forever.” Axel nearly chocked on the words he spat out. It was tough getting over loss, even today.

"But, I’m sure you’ll make it through this. Together you will."

After hearing about Axel going through the same situation, it just really annoyed Jax. He just wanted to take down these people. Who gave them to right to think they could just take people's Pokemon, whether by stealing them or buying them. He was going to find a way to take these people down. If he was going to include Brienne and Axel, he would decide that later.

Jax was trying to pull himself out of his downer mood. He did bring Axel out here to join him and have him cheered up. "Thank you. We'll definitely make it through this. We're tough." Jax thought over the journey for him so far. It's been a lot already. "You know, I've been thinking about it, despite how much of an emotional roller coaster this journey has been so far, I do not regret going on." He then looked up at the stars and just smiled.

After hearing about the event with his Pokemon, Axel was more than glad to accept the invitation to spend the evening with Jaxson. Having to deal with some family issues, Axel had little time to think about anything else. He didn’t like dividing his attention like that, things could happen when he was not aware of his surroundings. Thanksfully, the issue was resolved in no time and he was able to focus on being with the group. Especially Brienne and Jaxson. They grew to be more than just friends. But what exactly their relationship became Axel had no idea. 

Feeling the chilly air pierce through his jacket, Axel made his way to the Cape. he heard it was absolutely beautiful this time of year. Having the chance to see it was lucky all by itself. Now, he got to share it with his dear friend. Watching along the coast, he scanned the horizon for Jaxson. He noticed his Pokemon first, then went straight to him. He sat on the ground next to Jaxson, smiling at him to make him aware that he was there. “Well hey there. How’s it going?”

After some time had passed, Axel finally joined Jax on the Cape. Before Jaxson even noticed that the other was closed, Doctor sensed Axel. He lifted his head up just slightly with his eyes opening halfway. Doctor recognized Axel and laid back down. Jax looked over and then saw Axel. He smiled to see the other. That was one of the rare smiles he has had at all this week. "Hey Ax. It's really good to see you, you have no idea." He looked back out over the city. "It's alright for now. Just getting through this kidnapping. Apparently there's a team called Contagion and they wanted Cocoa for some reason." He shook his head, really perplexed about how someone could do that.

Jax was very stressed after this past week with all that happened with Cocoa's kidnapping. He just needed to space and fresh air. The Cape was the perfect spot for it. He has never been here but he's heard a lot about it. It's nice to go out at night so you could see the stars while overlooking Cerulean City and its lights. He sat on the grass with his camera next to him and Doctore resting next to him. Jax was gently caressing the Scyther's head as he looked up at the stars in the night sky. It was a bit chilly but thankfully he had his windbreaker on and he had a blanket laid out. The breeze hitting his face relxed him though since it brought the salty ocean air from the far south towards Vermilion City. He invited Axel to join him so the other would be arriving at some point. He knew Axel would be one of the few people to help him feel less stressed.

No, I'm surprised you hadn't heard, but she was kidnapped earlier this week. She's much better now, but still very stressed about it. She doesn't like being more than 5 feet away from me.

Let’s not think about that what if scenario, I refuse to let that happen to you ever again. That was something no one should have to go through as a trainer. I’ve been training for the last few days because of this, you can never be too safe.

Thank you Brienne. Watching you, Saturn, and Erik take Cocoa back and fight that trainer was incredible. You all were chosen to be our Guardians for a reason.

"Alright, kid. Let’s go back then, yeah?" She said, probably with the nicest tone you’ll ever hear her with. She sent out Deino as they walked, stopping at a boulder. "Is this the place?"

Jaxson took her to where they were resting. When she pointed out the right boulder, he just nodded. Too angry and distraught to say anything.

Seeing anyone being brought to such distress broke Brienne’s heart. She physically hurt watching Jaxson like this. Part of her wanted to hug him and tell him it would all be okay while the other part of her was out for blood over this. She had no time to blame anyone for being careless, all she really cared about what getting whoever kidnapped Cocoa and smash their goddamn face in for it. 

The Noibat perched on her shoulder squeaked aloud, before shooting away from her trainer. She darted throughout the forest, almost certain she found something. Brienne looked over at her partner before grabbing Jaxson by the wrist to pull him in the same direction. “We’re gonna find her, you hear me?”

Jaxson was mad at himself too. He should've let Cocoa cuddle with him that night, but she was being very prissy and wanted space. She still wasn't too far off from him. He should have been able to protect her. He really had nothing to say to Brienne. He just couldn't get any coherent words to form in his mouth. "Thank you," he forced out. Doctor came back shortly to check in with no news. Doctor then darted back out through the trees to keep looking. "Who would take her?"

I like your murderous attitude. Tell me, where did this happen exactly? My Deino has a great sense of smell, and if we pick up on a scent, we could just sniff them out.

I'm ready to end this guy. It was at our campsite. I was sleeping under a tree and she was on boulder nearby. We need all the help we can to find my Cocoa.

"No… Jax, it was— fuck! Alright, c’mon, let’s go! We can’t waste any time, every second counts!” Quickly, Brienne sent out her Talonflame and Gogoat as the Noibat on her shoulder looked all around to see if she could make out the kidnapper. The Talonflame cawed out at his trainer, beating his wings out to stay airborne. “Fly ahead and see if you could find Archen okay?” He nodded before zipping away. Looking down at the Gogoat, Brienne jerked her head in the same direction. He nodded curtly before following along.

Jax wiped the tears from his eyes but it didn't stop him from crying. He pulled out the Gameball with his Scyther. "Go Doctor!" When the other Pokemon surged out of the ball. "Doctor, go and find Cocoa. If you see her kidnapper, show no mercy." With that, the Scyther took off and he followed Brienne, sniffling some more. Why would anyone want to take his Cocoa. He was angry and distraught.
