So Rocky has a bunch of permanent carvings along his carapace like family crest, rulers and protractors, marriage symbol, etc. I assume thats normal for Eridians, but the possibility that it's socially equivalent to getting full body tattoos for humans is funny. Imagine seeing this super inked out dude, but you look closer and its just a bunch of tattoos like.

I will never not get over how every. Single. Series. Of the absolute run will have a character mention how the world is fundamentally wrong. Just, Casually.

The common folk, the gods, the protagonists, the antagonists, aliens, there is something wrong with the way the world works and ever body knows it. But also they don’t at the same time, because they don’t know why it’s wrong. They just feel it. On a subconscious level.

And it’s not played off as a joke. Multiple issues throughout the, 6 series and a a bone deep wrongness they know but can’t name

need him tortured so badly and for so long that when some workers come to tell him we're going to let you go he shakes his head and says, they're just going to find me again. it's not worth it. and then they look at each other and don't say anything and suddenly he sees the kryptonite serum in their pockets and he looks at them again as it dawns on him that they've come to kill him and he thinks oh. oh rao. and his shoulders sag with relief and says the smallest, most broken thank you.

he offers up his arm to them and they say they're sorry, but this will hurt. he smiles and says it'll be nothing he hasn't felt before. while he's dying they ask him if he has a name. he tells them through gasps. one of them holds him in their lap and they pet his hair. kal-el, they say. kal-el, it's okay, just let it take you. he thinks of the redlands. of home. they pet him until he's gone and then slide his slack body off their lap and put a blanket over him. and they wonder who they just killed

Grace: uhhh im not following pal, Theres- Theres no one else here. Are you ok?

Rocky: yes! Rocky perfect! Grace has friend! Is Grace blind, question?!

Grace: ok bud you know I don’t see like you do, im not blind, where is the friend you’re seeing that im not?

Loosening their restraints and holding their hands.

Pulling the gag away from their mouth so they can drag in a proper breath because they're sobbing/hiccuping/hyperventilating.

Brutal hands that inflict so much pain turning soft - a hand carded through their hair, warm palm placed on Whumpee's heaving chest as they're asked to mimic Whumper's breathing. Wiping the tears away.

Offering a sip of water. Offering them praise like; "It's okay, deep breaths," "Not long now, whumpee", "You're being so good for me."

And once Whumpee's finally calm and regulated?

One of my fav things ever is when Grace discovers he's aroace through Rocky.

Rocky constantly talking about Adrian and then asking Grace if he has a mate or if he wants one- if he won't get lonely on Erid, and Grace explains that most humans would want a mate, that most humans would maybe get lonely, but that he's been without a mate for most of his life and it.. never really bothered him.

Rocky asking him if he's ♪♫♩♬ and Grace has no word for this- Rocky explaining that it's Eridians who do not want a mate. Eridians who just simply seek out different kinds of relationships, but not mates.

Grace not knowing there's a word like that in English and simply translating it to "single" for the time being until he finds out the words for aromantic and asexual.
