En 5 morceaux, “Marathon” rassemble tout ce que Geste maîtrise parfaitement : de grandes allégeances à un math-rock jamais prétentieux qui remet sans cesse la composition au centre du propos, loin devant l’esbroufe technique. De grandes baffes rock électroniques portées par un feeling prononcé pour une musique définitivement vivante, organique et totalement maîtrisée par les trois protagonistes. Une osmose parfaite entre les musiciens qui découle d’une expérience approfondie en live et éprouvée sur de nombreuses scènes depuis la France et l’Angleterre, jusqu’à la Chine et Hong-Kong, fin 2012. “Marathon” est le premier véritable aboutissement du trio, après deux ans d’une intéressante montée en puissance balisée par une série de concerts percutants. Un travail de longue haleine qui clôt un premier cycle pour Geste tout en inaugurant un nouveau chapitre enthousiasmant, à l’image du talent et de l’envie du trio dont “Marathon” n’est que la première émanation long format.
