Mighty Nein Main Character Ranking (I only follow the show so be careful about spoilers from the campaign. Also I will spoil season 1):
Caleb Widogast. Poly, bisexual man who did some real fucked up shit. Pathetic rat man everyone calls stinky. Grumpy, but not necessarily mean. Real talk, so glad he dates the other people instead of only having sex with them. I watched three random shows and all of them showed a bisexual man by having them have one-night stands with two people, then only date women. It’s a real thing to have sexual interesting in both and romantic interest in only one, but that’s not what these shows were going for. He’s also a great modern character because we need to show just how effective and damaging propaganda is.
2. Nott the Brave. I love parents with dead kids who end up accidentally adopting people. Real age regression potential with this one and Caleb. And, she still gets to be a shit head, which I love. If her only trait was being caring to people I definitely wouldn’t have been as engaged. She also needs that sharp edge to survive the streets and Caleb. I wouldn’t be surprised if she quickly forgives him in season two considering she watches him burn Owelia and only cared about comforting him.
3. Mollymauk Tealeaf. He’s always trying to defuse conflicts, his accent is nice to listen to and attempt to copy, and he’s got some weird demon stuff going on. It is a but crazy that he’s so chill hanging out with people who were involved in his friends dying, but again, he hates conflict.
4. Jester Lavorre. She is wanted for murder and barley cares that she can’t return home. I did read somewhere that she might be ace, and I love asexuals who are incredibly inappropriate. She’s also very likable within the show, she gets along with the team fairly easily. I feel weird about her and Fjord being hinted at, how old is she? It’s fine if it’s one-sided on her part, but I remember him maybe sharing feelings.
5. Fjord Stone. Men who are total bad asses are just as fun for me as men who massive losers. His journey seems to be about learning he can be and is more than fighting skills and ‘manly’ things, so I’m curious how that will develop. It would be really interesting to see him lose that sword and have to lean into his naturally more gentle nature, maybe learning potion stuff from Nott. Other than that, I really wish I got more of his natural voice, I prefer it heavily to his mentor’s.
6. Beauregard Lionett. She’s honestly tied with Fjord. I liked the juxtaposition of a Monk with a kind of rude way of talking to people. The Sokka comparison stops at the face and hair, she’s a lot more serious and very dedicated to preserving knowledge. Also loved her and Caleb getting on each other as though they weren’t doing the same damn things.

2. Caleb (literally the hottest. He might’ve gotten higher if his accent showed up more and he was slightly more pathetic. Bren is said in the most satisfying way ever. I could not stand him in real life though, everyone says he stinks like shit)
3. Beau (Buff woman who would probably pulverize me. Smelly, but I could deal. I’m also a massive nerd so she can infodump to me!)
