Hands down my favorite part of Night At The Museum is that itâs low key the plot of The Mummy (1999) but like, chill.
Like Rami Malekâs character isnât like a mannequin come to life like the rest of them. Heâs 100% a 3000 year old reanimated corpse. And everyoneâs just fine with it.
He could just take the tablet and fully walk out of the museum and just live his life but heâs a bro and would rather be a glorified docent.
sorry for killing the vibe. it will happen again
Zon: Iâm so freaking mad at you, oh youâre gonna hear it now mister!

Zon: [comes back carrying a chair, climbs on it, is finally at face level with Saifah]
Zon: Now listen here you rude ass giantâ
Saifah: *Intense trying not to smile*

I understand this perspective, and I agree with it to an extent.
If you really think about it, if prison was an easy place or a place without such negative consequences, what motive would people have to persuade them against committing crimes? I think the law should definitely be changed when/ if we can come up with a more humane, yet still discouraging way to deal with people who choose to commit crimes (and are actually guilty).
We can't risk having people thinking "If I do this, the worst I'll have to deal with is prison. Prison isn't that bad." If people are already committing these crimes despite knowing that they will likely be put in prison, and that still isn't enough to stop them, how many more people do you think will do it when prison is more humane and bearable?
I think we 100% need to find a way to make goods more accessible to people who can't get a good income due to race, sex, gender, sexuality etc. Because when people have enough of what they need and are at less of a disadvantage, I believe that they'll be less likely to have the urge to steal in the first place. We also should find a way to get free or very cheap psychological help for everyone who is knowingly at risk of committing crimes due to mental disorders or trauma.
If you think about it, the reason these people are in prison in the first place is because they are a risk to those who are actually innocent. There should be change, but we can't just simply let murderers and r***ists out with little to no consequences.
Think about the people who have been harmed by the criminals who were put in prison; depending on what was done, they might have to live their entire lives with the pain of what happened to them.

you ever just realise how impossibly big the internet is?
like⌠everyone has their own communities, and sure my circle of âangry cripplepunks + shitpostersâ is lively, but there are other internet circles I will never see, or even know the existence of. not just like, non-english communities, even in the english part of the world. I donât care for cars, but for all I know thereâs discourse in the Ford Focus fandom over how they used to to nyeeewm, but now they go mreeeew. Maybe the people-who-whittle-shit-out-of-wood have masterposts on recommended knives, or where to source wood from. Maybe there are fanboys of Microsoft Excel, who make memes about how Google Sheets users suck.
there are people whoâll never know about the things that I think about every day, and there are things someone loves that I donât know exist, and thats fucking wild
how long does an obsession need to last until it becomes a lifestyle?
