I don't care about the site, but I *do* care that it's 2015 and the government still thinks whom with & why consenting adults have sex with is any of its business; they didn't arrest the site owners on charges for child porn or tax evasion. When government needlessly makes criminals out of its citizens, it's infuriating to me. Right now, it's seven people they're making an example of, but it logically follows that the system has the "legal" grounds to go after every individual user for prostitution/solicitation. Based on the source article, the only real criminal about RentBoy was its pricing structure.
Apple, Dr. Dre, and Dee Barnes
"The assault was so violent, Barnes writes, that at one point she thought: 'Oh my god, he's trying to kill me.'" "Instead of doing journalism, I’ve had a series of 9-5 jobs over the years to make ends meet." He abused multiple women and derailed a woman's entire career, and now he's a top level Apple "employee"...because they want to sell you overpriced headphones and use their shitty streaming service THAT badly. Way to go, Apple. What's next, Trump for President?
Celebrating Pride
Planted on the couch and revisiting Queer as Folk from the beginning. It counts.

As Close to Paleo as I Get As it turns out, four bean salad is pretty awesome. Make a giant bowl of it for the week, nuke a Casual Gourmet red pepper chicken sausage (get 'em from Costco), and throw it on a bed of greens. Flavorful, filling, and economically efficient.
How's this for a computer upgrade? :D – View on Path.
Decided to give Instagram a shot this year and see if it sticks. For starters, here's my face.

I can’t overstate how much joy our household gets out of this site every day.
Ugh, I can’t…damn you internet, making me kind of want to have a pet… (>.>)
"Let go your earthly tether. Enter the void. Empty and become wind. Empty and become wind."
"'Namaste Beyoncé'...that's how I want to leave all my conversations from now on." joked my best friend. So I took a couple minutes in a photo editor to make him this.
As I started clearing off my desktop today, I saw it and thought about how I never post to Tumblr and how it seemed like the kind of thing that makes for a good Tumblog addition...and here we are. /story
Boxed, Sealed, and Archived
Some time around the middle of July, I decided (after giving the matter lots of consideration) to temporarily un-publish all of the posts on the blog. After my last post, I kept reading through the archive and decided that I needed to wipe the slate. When…

Nice. Well done, internet. :)
Today In Technology
Just sped through my RSS feeds and this is what was big today:
The acquisition of Tumblr by Yahoo! became official.
Yahoo! pushed out an update to Flickr that makes it very tempting to use. 1TB free, no resolution downsampling.
AT&T video over 3G/LTE will work for all data plans by year's end.
The ability to make phone calls from inside the browser is disabled by the new Google Hangouts, but the functionality will be restored "soon".
