Happy New Year!
Kingdom Of Comfort acoustic version
So itâs 2012âŠa new year. So why start with an old delirious? song and not a new one?
A little nostalgia?
maybeâŠ
Actually I think that Kingdom Of Comfort is one of the best songs Iâve ever been a part of writing⊠and I want to go into this new year remembering the best of the past while living in the now.
I want to keep asking myself what am I building⊠a comfortable life? Or am I still living with big questions about what Iâm here for and how does my living affect others?
Am I deaf to the cries of the oppressed, the poor and the powerless?
I hope that this new year is full of clarity, joy, peace, hope, success and fulfillment for us all!

13 Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of othersâthe armies of heavenâpraising God and saying,
14 âGlory to God in highest heaven,       and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.â

Weekly Round Up: The Star Edition
Its getting nearer Christmas, so take a break from the Christmas shopping (which Iâm avoiding), and catch up with some weird and wonderful stuff weâve found online:
Richard Littledale presents The Littlest Star. The story behind this book is starting to sound amazing. Can you do anything to help the Childrens Hospice?
James Prescott asks if Abstinence has become a dirty word?
Jon Butler looks at how chips can spread⊠and he doesnât mean the foodâŠ
Earlier this week when I was rambling about spending Christmas in Church, I struggled for a term⊠A Term to describe people who grew up seeing the wave of kids TV, emails, Sky, Channel 5, video phones⊠Vicky Beeching has desribed it as The last generation who experienced pre-internet society⊠fairly accurate description reallyâŠ
Coming up on The Christmas Photoblog this week⊠births⊠Council Workers⊠Wisemen.. and âHerodâ.

18-19The birth of Jesus took place like this. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. Before they came to the marriage bed, Joseph discovered she was pregnant. (It was by the Holy Spirit, but he didnât know that.) Joseph, chagrined but noble, determined to take care of things quietly so Mary would not be disgraced.
20-23While he was trying to figure a way out, he had a dream. Godâs angel spoke in the dream: âJoseph, son of David, donât hesitate to get married. Maryâs pregnancy is Spirit-conceived. Godâs Holy Spirit has made her pregnant. She will bring a son to birth, and when she does, you, Joseph, will name him JesusââGod savesââbecause he will save his people from their sins.â This would bring the prophetâs embryonic sermon to full term:    Watch for thisâa virgin will get pregnant and bear a son;    They will name him Immanuel (Hebrew for âGod is with usâ).
24-25Then Joseph woke up. He did exactly what Godâs angel commanded in the dream: He married Mary. But he did not consummate the marriage until she had the baby. He named the baby Jesus.

Advent with Stu g Day 5
A friend of mine posted the solo from Investigate on my facebook wall yesterday. Christmas is a time for sharing so Iâm gonna share it with you tooâŠ
This was always one of our favourite songs to play live. It wasnât just the fact that i got to let loose at the end, but that Psalm 139 is an awesome piece of writing and I identify with the heart cry⊠I guess thatâs why the instrumental sections felt so good to me because I often donât have the words to express the visceral emotions of the Splanchnon (thatâs a Greek word for where you feel thingsâŠclick the word for more info)  Â
Anyway, hope you enjoy this blast from the past recorded at Willow Creek Chicago.
peaceÂ
