I hate that this isn't dissimilar from my own room. I've been trying to get to cleaning it, but I keep feeling too depressed. How do people genuinely have the energy to clean when they job, laundry, dishes, food, read? Should i remove my last vestiges of fun to get to cleaning?

It’s the intense overwhelming feeling that gets to you huh? I understand. I’ve gone from this, to normal, to this again. Don’t give up on fun.

It’s not like we don’t want clean rooms. We want clean rooms. It’s just an actual physical mountain of just, STUFF! It isn’t a normal problem. So it’s hard to fix.

Real answer is one section at a time/ one area at a time. Like for me, making my bed would be feasible. Less than an hour and it’s a normal bed again. Same with my desk area. Don’t have to do both of them the same day. So you don’t have to use up all your time.

But clearing out thrift store stuff mountain near my door? Fuck that I’ll do that a different time.

Small progress is progress. It hurts when you work on it for what feels like forever and the difference would be only something you would notice. Then you give up for days and it’s like the pile heals itself and ur back to square one. It’s ok tho. Keep trying.

Every week I get a couple trash bags and fill them with stuff I don’t use and donate it. It doesn’t do a lot but it does do something.

Don’t clean it all at once. Too much.

One thing thats easy, and you should do if you haven’t, have a full sized kitchen trash can in your room. I’ve kept one in my room for several years now. So my thrift store mountain is actually trash free.

Just clothes I’ve washed and cleaned and shoved in laundry baskets and kept stacking ontop each other and other thrift stuff. Now I own like 20 laundry baskets. 💀 I hoard plastic/paper bags too And pill bottles.

I have a lot of stuff, but it’s clean stuff. Kinda dusty tho. I don’t have much great advice because obviously I ain’t doing any better haha but make sure you aren’t hoarding any food trash. It attracts critters. Also always wash bedding once a week. Helps you sleep better.

Also I only recently found out hoarding actually has levels.

I treated mine like a bingo board. I give myself a 2 - 2.5. Since I have so much stuff. I hope you get a clean room. Don’t judge yourself badly about it.

Ever see something so wrong online it just hurts you for days. I saw a police body cam video of a very skinny little girl clenching her stuffed toy telling police that her parents buy food but don’t give any to her. That her parents lock her away if she tells people she is hungry. The parent was arrested and charged with neglect.

It’s like, 3am and everyone is asleep, but my lil nephew is awake and sign languages to me that he is hungry. I’m up and cooking fajitas and Mexican rice for us both.

I can’t even fathom someone starving a kid and thinking that’s ok.

Idk, late night rant. I’m still cooking right now and gonna make it extra good. Because I keep thinking about that kid.

Wanna see my fish tank? No? Too bad.

My 30 gallon tank! I got 7 Cory catfish in there and two newly hatched babies! Some of these plants I just got yesterday so they have a bit of melt to them and planting them made the water dusty. Ima get a couple more plants then ima let everything grow out 💋✨

I found that giving my catfish strictly only bottled fresh spring water makes them breed. I’ve had these guys literally YEARS and no babies until I started doing this. They just wanna be spoiled rotten.

I just starting cookin when my apple pen died on me. Needs charging. I was drawing a child I met in a nightmare. They were maybe 8 or 9 and shorter than me. Fused to various animals.

The more you stared at them, the more the animals they were fused to changed into different ones. Like a kaleidoscope.

They gesture for you to bring your ear to thier face and they will whisper the evils of war to you. That it’s coming and for some reason people were trying to silence their whispers. Not listening to thier whispers was wrong.

So it’s your job to tell others of the whispers because people would listen to you because you’re human. You are good for listening to thier whispers. To Tell others of the whispers.

I now have a nightlight.

Sometimes I think about when I used to work all the time in a old folks home.

Some of the staff, with pure seriousness, asked which room I lived in.

I asked why they thought that and it was Because none of them had ever witnessed me arriving or leaving the place. 🫩
