Dae-Min || Count D & Princess Azula
A loud yelp broke through the droning vocals pouring out of the cafe speaker followed by a,
âBad kitty!â
Azula sneered as a large white tom cat with sharp yellow eyes came bounding through the cafe. Someone at the cat rescue had attempted to groom or play with Dae Min, âDamienâ the sisters called him but their media references meant little to Azula. The white tom had an irritable temperament and was prone to acting out violently when provoked. Playing with, grooming or even looking too long at him was enough to warrant a negative response.
He had no desire to accept Rhiannon or Skyeâs ham-fisted attempts at friendship and for his behavior he was locked away from the other cats. Though not really one for pets, this cat was tolerable to Azula. They had an understanding of sorts. Which was why when Dae Min made to hide under Azulaâs unoccupied wheelchair the fire princess merely repositioned her blanket to drape over it enough to keep him properly hidden.
From where she leaned against the check-out counter the young firebender looked over in the direction of a man dressed in garb that seemed very much like that of her homeland. She had been periodically watching him since he first came in, trying to determine his heritage. An Earth Kingdom noble? Fire Nation? There was reason to believe either; she finally came to the conclusion that he may be a lord of some sort in one of the Fire Nationâs colonies in the Earth Kingdom- she rarely had visited the colonies so it was not too surprising that she did not recognize him. That is, if he was in fact from the colonies.
With a small conspiritorial smirk she held her index finger to her lips in a request for him not to let anyone who might come through looking for Dae Min know what had transpired.

D watched the cat seek shelter with the woman, and he couldnât help but smile. The tom cat was a lively creature, and he had picked a creative hiding spot. This was yet another reason for D to appreciate -Isms. If the meat free food and bookstore werenât enough, the felines were. The white catâs behavior warmed Dâs hearts. Animals almost constantly did this though, so that wasnât too special.Â
When the woman raised her finger to her lips, D offered her a knowing smile before returning to his drink. A few minutes later when he assumed the cat would be forgotten, he approached the woman at the counter. He had not missed her glancing at him from time to time, and he was curious as to why. Additionally, he was not one to pass up the chance to make conversation about animals.
âThat is quite the cat you have there,â D said politely. The count wished he could take him home, but that would just be taking him from one shop to another. He wasnât at his actual house often enough to leave a pet there. âHeâs a mischievous one, isnât he? I hope he hasnât been giving you all too much trouble.â If he had, D would be willing to communicate and hopefully help.
@tintedxblackâ
âExcuse me, could you help me out?ââ
He felt ridiculous. He felt like a child, not the wise and intelligent man he was. On a whim, Count D had closed his shop early today to visit the amusement park. Then not even ten minutes after arriving, D had caught his right index finger in a door, and now he was bleeding. It wasnât bleeding horribly, but it was enough that D needed to take care of it. On the bright side, at least he had been able to easily find an employee. Currently he was clutching the finger with his other hand.
âDo you have a first aid kit? Or just a bandage?â

Shouko was quick to take to this new, these Destiny Islands as she learned they were called. Each city was unique in their own way, and she was finally able to visit the last city. Through a difficult trudge, she had finally made it to Chikara.
And she wasnât disappointed with the outcome of the trip.
It was breathtaking, to say the least, and Shouko found herself falling in love with this new city over and over the more that she walked. The different stores and inhabitants were magical, just like she heard.
As she walked through the streets, she would peer into the windows of the various shops to get a better look at everything that was here. But when she wasnât paying attention, she bumped into somebody and stopped in her tracks. Her head raised and she looked at them. âSorry. Are you okay?â
D turned when he felt someone bump into him.
It was an unfamiliar girl with long dark hair. Destiny Island never failed to surprise him with all of its colorful characters. âDonât worry about it; Iâm fine.â He gave a small smile of reassurance.Â
He turned his attention back to the windows he himself had been peering in. The Sweet Shop always captivated him. The count had quite a sweet tooth. In fact, pretty much everything he ate was sweet. Everything looked so delicious! And those jawbreakers! D wasnât sure he could even fit one of them in his mouth.The abundance of delicious looking treats presented him with a problem. He couldnât pick what he wanted.Â
âAre you from around here? Or maybe just coming into Chikara for some shopping?â D could understand why. Chikara was a unique location..Â
Business wasnât exactly booming, and trying to satiate his bottomless stomach was beginning to tear a hole in the wallet he didnât actually have. There was no way he was going to ask Kagome for help, as he was sure that she would probably chide him for blowing every semblance of income he had almost instantly. Plus, she had her own monetary issues to worry about, and the least he could do was try and keep something aside for her. That in mind, he found himself taking more âobscureâ jobs outside his usual demographic, his current project being just that. The details were vague (he didnât even know what a petshop was until he got the job), but Inuyasha was actually quite good with animals provided he could control himself from deliberately annoying them, so he figured whatever this was, it wouldnât be too difficult.
He immediately changed his mind upon entering the shop. He knew thereâd be a bear, just not one this big.
â..Uh-huh,â he nodded at being addressed, despite the fact that he never took his eyes off the hulking animal in the room. The question visibly caught him off guard, though. Many people had tried guessing âwhatâ he was even outside of this world, but whatever D had just said was so confusing it almost made him mad, in a way. âAm I aâ what? What?â
âWhat the hell is aâŚkee-no..whatever?! Iâm a dog demon! Obviously!â He huffed childishly, but calmed himself as soon as he realized his outburst was unwarranted and, most importantly, probably not good for calming the bear. Clearing his throat and trying to shake away his embarrassment, he looked back at D proper before continuing, âanyway, yeah, Iâm Inuyasha. So whatâs wrong with your bear? âCause sheâs definitely nervous about something.â
âA cynocephaly is a creature with a dogâs head.â Whatever he was, he seemed to have a bad temper, but D didnât give that too much thought. The dog demon seemed to understand his overreaction, and the angry bear in the room was more of a concern.
âA sore tooth,â D explained with a slightly annoyed tone. âIâve tried to explain to her that itâll feel better if I pull it,â the bear roared to object, âbut she wonât listen, as you can see. Iâd appreciate it if you could hold her down so I can pull it.â Inuyasha looked tough. D was sure he could handle it.
He approached the corner of the shop where the animal was laying. He crouched to get on more of an eye level with her. âHer name is Ursula, and usually sheâs quite sweet.â And liked sweets, which was the problem. D reached out to try to stroke her head, but he quickly jerked it back when she snapped at him, causing him to frown disapprovingly.

A yawn escaped Yukiâs mouth, unable to cover it because of the soap that now covered his hands. He eyes lazily rolled towards the mirror as they closed and he washed his face. A knock from his door sounded to the bathroom and he quickly rinsed his face off and dried his hands.
âYes. Just a moment!â he called out.
Yuki opened the door and saw somebody that he recognized in passing on the street, but the person was definitely not one that he knew. He took note of the tray that the stranger held: was he a new neighbor?
It would have been rude to leave the stranger out here still holding the tray. the corners of his mouth slightly turned upward. âHello there. Would you like to come in?â he offered.
âYes, thank you.â The count appreciated the manâs politeness. D bowed in greeting before stepping inside and setting the tray down.
âMy name is Count D,â he introduced himself, âand I own a pet shop in Chikara. Back home, I was friends to dragons, mermaids, Kirins, and all types of magical creatures. I have a... connection to animals.â It was the best and simplest way to explain it. Things were easier in his home world where he had many connections in place. âYou are the rat of the Chinese zodiac, correct?âÂ
He hoped the question wouldnât startle the boy too much. Something subtler might have been better, but D didnât think he would react badly enough to warrant one. Think being the key word. The smile on his face never wavered, and his voice remained steady.  âIt is an honor to meet you.â

     âOh..ummâŚâ
Allen was caught off guard by the strangerâs sudden question. HE wasnât used to the straightforwardness of it. Most people avoid asking about it or even looking although there have been days when someone has asked. Never so bluntly thoughâŚ
    âItâs a long story but to put it simply..I was cursed..âHe lets out an awkward chuckle now looking away from the males gaze. Allen was afraid to see his reaction expecting the usual sudden eye widening then frown followed by a few steps back. Horror usually plastered on their face as they suddenly regret asking.
âA curse,â the man repeated. He gave no visible reaction to the news; simply accepted it without question. D was not unfamiliar with strange and magical things. Some could even accuse him of placing a few curses of his own. He found the formation unique. Most curses he knew of were linked to a possession or invisible.
âI am sorry to hear that. Curses can be horrible things.â  He sighed, trying to show sympathy for the stranger. âI hope it has not caused too much trouble for you.â It certainly seemed to have effected him someway, judging by his reaction.
HE WONT SUSPECT IF YOU POINT OUT EVERY SINGLE HOT LADY IN THE ROOM
@ushixx
âNow, what is a creature like yourself doing here?â D asked the ox.Â
A delivery to one of his regular customers had brought him to Ai. On his way back, the sight of a cow in the streets caught the countâs attention. If he had been close to farmland he could understand, but he was not. Â âAre you lost?â Though his ears bore no tag, there were piercings, which was even more peculiar. Â âIf you are, I would be happy to help you find your way home.â
(Sorry for my absence. Hell week at college. orz. Iâll be getting to everything I owe today hopefully.)
@hanyoisms
Today was a hectic day in the pet shop. There was a very aggravated and very large black bear that was not behaving. All the free roaming animals had fled to backrooms and the ones in cages were yelling at D. The bear had a sore tooth, which D could understand. He had suffered through them before. They did hurt. They felt better after being pulled, but the bear wouldnât listen to him. Force was going to be necessary, and D wasnât going to be able to do it alone. Luckily he had hired help, someone with the name Inuyasha.Â
âUrsula, please,â he pleaded with the bear, but she just growled leave me alone and moved to the other side of the shop. D held his breath as she came close to knocking over an expansive vase.Â
Looking to the entrance of the shop, he spotted a figure entering. The white hair and red robes fit the description of the help. âYou must be Inuyasha,â he greeted. Fatigue had replaced his normally charming way of speaking. The pair of ears on the otherâs head quickly piqued his interest. âAre you a cynocephaly?âÂ
@ningorisâ
D knew something was different the moment he was him.
That boy was a rat.Â
He had passed him on the streets in Ai on his way back for a run for sweets. It had just been just a glance, but it was enough for the count. He knew his myths and his creatures. A bribe offered to a crow, and D was able to get the location of his home. The next day D stood outside the boyâs door at the Hirojuku Complex. It was a beautiful building. He had a tray with a cake and tea on it with him. D wasnât rude enough to show up without gifts, after all.Â
Putting on what he hoped to be a charming expression, the count smiled and knocked on the door. Hopefully he wouldnât freak out the boy too much by suddenly appearing like this.Â

ANNOYANCE WAS CLEAR as day as Kagome glared up at the strange man standing before her. âYou shouldnât say such inappropriate things - and besides unicorns are only in fairy tales.â She mouths off, balled up fists being shoved into her sides as her arms fold angrily across her chest. Jeez, what a creep.
âApologies. I did not mean to offend, miss.â The woman across from him appeared very angry. Â He had thought it was an innocent question. It wasnât his fault unicorns liked virgins. âPerhaps, but there are lots of things in this world that are only from fairy tales, like wizards and magic. You may be right, but I would still like to look.â
@redxact
âThat is quite an interesting scar, sir.â It ran from around his eye to down towards his cheek. D wasnât used to seeing such elaborate ones back home. The closest resemblance came from gang members. âHow did you get? If you do not wish to share, I completely understand.â
âAny virgins want to help me track down a unicorn?â He wasnât sure if there were even any here, but if there were, he was going to find them.Â
