Season 5, Ep 19: One Hour

Our heroes find a new level of hopelessness as the search for their prime selves becomes more complicated. Kim delivers bad news. Jake truly finds himself. Tass attempts an escape. Megan splits the party more viscerally than intended. Divided and confused, their peril is increased as a mysterious timer counts down to their deaths.

This arc is hell on our trust issues. HELL.

Rev: Tass, you have just come spinning around inside of this rotating circle, and in front of you are Kim and Megan and Jake. They all look a little bit worse for wear, and Jake is wearing a very fancy spacesuit with a cape.

Tass: How did you... What?

Megan: Tass, how long have you been in there?

Tass: In this little cubby?

Megan: Yeah.

Kim: Yes.

Tass: Since I just saw you! Like a minute ago?

Jake: Clone!

Kim: No! That doesn't — that doesn't mean, necessarily... I mean, who knows what happens when you go in that cubby?

Tass: What? Clone? What are you wearing? What is happening?

Jake: CLONE!

Kim: Tass, there are clones all over the place, and it's really hard for us to differentiate between who's actually a clone and who isn't. We had a clone you traveling with us for, like, this whole space station. And yeah, so we're just feeling really on edge. Hey buddy, can you give me a high five?

Tass: I think I have the gun leveled at them.

Kim: Wow, okay.

[Everybody laughs]

Our heroes get separated after making a horrible discovery. Tass gets some time to himself. Kim implements a safety protocol. Megan builds a communication device. Jake tries out a new weapon. As they discover that the facility still has surprises in store for them, they have to muster their courage and find each other in the ensuing chaos.

Kim: Do y'all wanna know how much of an idiot — and I think maybe this is just, like, it's the morning for me. Like literally, I heard the initials. And in my head, I had to go, "Who do we know in this game that has the initials GN?"

[Everybody laughs]

Megan: Who could this be?

Kim: Who could this be? What a mystery!

[Everybody laughs]

Megan: I just... I can't get over the idea of there being an embossed table down here.

Jake: This dude is so fucking dramatic.

Megan: I like the thought that he had this made.

Kim: His spacesuit has a cape on it!

Jake: I know.

Kim: Yeah. He's a dramatic guy!

Jake: Nash is Megamind. Like Nash is like, "Oh, you're a villain alright. Just not a super one."

Kim: See, I've gotten so used to Grandpa Nash and his corduroy sweaters. I've forgotten the main guy...

Jake: Who's all about presentation.

Rev: Yeah.
