can we please stop acting like Harris is just a step forward for black people? a lot of people are proud of the fact that she is a “black woman” they like to give her that title ignoring the fact that she is also asian. we’ve never had someone of asian descent as president, but while i see plenty of people (rightfully i want to make clear) celebrating her blackness they all seem to simultaneously (wrongly) ignoring her being asian as well. as a SEA person this feels marginalizing and i just want people to start acknowledging that she’s a huge step forward for us just as much as black people and women at large. please stop erasing that part of her, and please stop erasing us.

Can you please talk about her being South Asian without throwing a temper tantrum about how she’s a step forward for Black People? You literally are the definition of “ PoC solidarity is a myth”.

You could’ve easily celebrated her being South Asian and call attention to that just like she does but nooooo. You just had to cry and whine about why they don’t mention her being South Asian enough for you. And considering the antiblackness from the SEA community; there’s a reason why her being Black is mentioned before her being SA. Might wanna work on that antiblackness babe and quit acting like Black People aren’t globally hated and that includes the Asian community.

You are coming off as antiblack bitchbrat and it’s highly annoying because Harris always makes it clear she’s both Black and South Asian and to act like people are “ erasing” that part of her is you being antiblack and a brat.

Um actually, that’s not what that post was saying at all, and as a black mixed person I find it appalling that people will just erase part of a mixed person’s heritage to just whatever looks the most appealing. Yes if she wins Harris will be the first black female president to be in office and that’s a huge accomplishment. BUT Harris will also be the first SEA to ever become president which is also a huge accomplishment. We shouldn’t be celebrating one while putting down the other. Both should be celebrated equally because it’s a win for both cultures. This is not antiblack because while it criticizes people for not acknowledging the other side of Harris’ heritage it also celebrates her being the first black president. Stop trying to erase part of Harris’ heritage to raise up one group while completely ignoring the other.

Sul sul, my sisters in Christ! My name is Breyonnah, but please call me Bre! My husband and I have begun our walks with the Lord! We live Henford-on-Bagley where I am a homemaker and my hubby is an engineer. I became a stay at home mom after I had my firstborn because my dear hubby, Chukwuma, works constantly and I didn’t want my poor babies to not have their mom around either. I always assumed I would go back to work when my kids got old enough to school, but praise the Lord that I finally realized that this was my purpose all along! One of Chukwuma’s coworkers invited us to his church one Sunday and we fell in love with the community there! After about a year of visiting the church we finally got baptized and became firm believers in the faith. We currently have 4 children and I just learned that I’m expecting our 5th child! The Lord is already blessing us for being open to His word! Anyways, it’s so wonderful to fellowship on this site with other women who have embraced their calling. I can’t wait to share our journey with you all!

Our Wedding & Move-In Day!

It's hard to believe that just 3 months ago, I met the love of my love life! How we met is quite a funny story, he went into our local haberdashery for a tie for a friend's wedding. While my sister and I were shopping for her husband's suit! Luckily, my lovely sister had served him a few times at her bakery so, she was able to introduce us.

(No this isn't our first kiss we took this after) We actually had our kiss alone away from the onlookers. Hayden really hated the idea of that many people staring at him... he struggled enough during the vows.

Shout out to my wonderful sister for helping me stay sane during the planning process. There is really better than an older sister wiser beyond her years. She has actually been engaged for almost a year so, Hayden and I beat her to it (lol).

Look at how silly my mom is! I'm so grateful and just can't help but praise god for giving me such an amazing mom. And, yes she is wearing white since I decided to wear a very pale blue it was okay. I'm actually named after her... I don't think I've said my name yet OOPS! My name is Willow Grace Jr. McManus (NOW SNARK!).

Our first house! She's a fixer-upper given to us by my mother-in-law. It has been in the Snark family for decades but has been almost abandoned since Hayden's father went to be with the lord. During our first week back after our honeymoon, all we did was just clean. We have cleaned up our bedroom and the guest bedroom. Hayden said I shouldn't get ahead of myself and turn it into a nursery (though I did try).

Penknife - Liam, but I can’t reveal too much as to why!

Dagger - many motifs I want to potray are motifs of obvious love and family. but also things like finding your own path verses the path layer out for you. Or the affects of high control religions.

Claymore - I think what makes both Andrew and Lydia both “villainous” is the fact that they both grew up in this religion which is very controlling and restrictive. But they continue to pass it on and continue the cycles of abuse while still believing themselves to be better than everyone else.

We've had another birthday in the Pearson household! Ariel it feels like just yesterday you were a little baby in my arms! Now six years old and ready to help mama and Abby with household duties as a woman should. While she doesn't have a servants heart or a heart for children, we can train her up to be a great servant and mother! Little Ariel loves animals especially cats. She keeps telling me and Andrew Jacob that she wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. I keep reminding her that a woman's place is in the home, but that she can pray for a husband who also has a heart for animals and maybe she can live on a farm. Ariel even if you struggle mama and daddy can't wait to see your walk with the Watcher.

Meet John and Cassie Theall. They just entered young adulthood and entered into a marriage covenant together. Both grew up in fundamentalist households and hope to raise their family in such a way. They plan to leave their family size up to God. They dress modestly and have no TVs in their home. To save money, they eloped. Both Cassie and John saved their very first kiss for their wedding day. They plan to raise their future children to pursue courtship and purity.

John just took a job in the mail room and hopes to be a more established business man in the years to come. John is ambitious and outgoing. He strives to be a leader and provider in the home.

Cassie is a stay at home wife who enjoys cooking and gardening. She is family-oriented, a perfectionist, and tries to be a good person all the time. While the couple is leaving their family size up to God, Cassie can't help but be excited to be a mother.

Shortly after marriage, they renovated the Crick Cabana lot (lot used is by LilSimsie). John had saved up $20K before marriage and they spent about $15K or so on their starter home. There are two bedrooms, the second of which is empty. They plan to furnish that room when they are expecting their first child.

While they find this neighborhood and home quaint, they hope to move to a larger house in a neighborhood with more Christians soon.
