Had a post written the other day to mark the eleventh month since Leo’s death, but I was on a ship and I guess it didn’t send. RIP LeoBear. You are missed and loved each and every day.

Throwback

These past six months, I've felt like I have been walking around without a part of my heart.  Leo was with us for eleven years- from the end of middle school to the end of graduate school- he was a big love.  Without Leo, every inch of our home feels bare. The house, no matter the occasion, always feels too quiet. At just thirty pounds, Leo was a big dog. His presence in our lives was massive. His loss has been just short of unbearable.  We adopted another rescue this past Saturday. It isn't "moving on" so much as "trying to find a way to be a little less miserable."  It isn't hyperbole to say that, while we rescued Leo, he saved us.
