Humility & Sacrifice are impactful lessons and challenges of fatherhood. Our inability to engage these 2 things makes so many men shrink or run from the honor of fatherhood, not realizing the exponential growth that comes from relinquishing our self centered nature’s and finding the intersection of our lives, dreams, and our family. Family 1st doesn’t mean we’re second it means our movements relate back to the oneness of our unit. Been meditating on both humility and sacrifice daily and have a greater understanding that not everyone is equipped or willing to engage the challenge of being a father. Thank you creator for the inspiration of my father, my elders, and my crew of men, friends and family that I’ve watched take up the mantle and daily challenge of creating, sustaining and growing our family, our nation. Bar Sepia. Thank You for your service. 2004-2018. For 14 years @barsepia was a community, a family, an institution in Prospect Heights, long before the BK bar hop scene. @delissar Sis THANK YOU for your vision I creating a space we could all connect & congregate to share the moments of our lives! One of my favorite memories is the DJ booth set up in the kitchen area. It made me feel like I was cooking up a vibe and spinning plates literally. I’ll always remember the gorgeous ceiling our restored and the signature lamps which made the space feel so intimate. Before there was a bar on every block Sepia was the spot where everyone really did know your name. It truly touched me and I reflected on the many friends and family who no longer have their mothers with us in the physical form. I can’t begin to imagine how that feels.
