He chuckled lightly. His way of calming down their daughter was always to play with her. But it worked, so why try anything else, right? That was her job. And he did always spoil her –which was nothing compared to the way that his mother was with her. She was worst. Jason yawned as he made his way to the baby’s room. “Daddy’s here, baby –don’t cry.” he said as he picked her up and gave her kisses. “Don’t cry, okay?” he said, picking up her pacifier and putting it in her so she’d stop crying. “Do you wanna go to mommy? Yeah, come on. You can sleep with us tonight. But not all the time. Daddy can’t get laid if you’re in bed with us.” he said while walking back to his room. “Now you want her?” he asked, but chuckled lightly immediately as he laid the three month old baby girl on Shirayuri before he crawled into bed. “She wants you.”
Shirayuri ignored her boyfriend’s comment as he placed their baby in her arms. “Hello, my precious.” She placed a light kiss on Natsumi’s nose before softly singing a Chinese lullaby that Jason’s mother had taught her as she rocked her in her arms. Once the Chinese lullaby was finished, she sung a Korean one that her grandmother taught her, then a Japanese one her mother had sung to her as a child and finally an English one that she had learned from her friend Alice. “See?” Shirayuri spoke softly as to not wake up their daughter. “That’s how you soothe her without playing. Sing her a lullaby . . . Or rap it.”
