Riley was still studying which meant that his presence was not a constant occurrence at the hospital. He often took as many shifts as he could, just to gather more experience and try to observe as much as he could with the limited time that he had, because he knew that once he was finished with university he would have to decide exactly what he wanted to do.
For now, he had decided not to worry about it, especially not during a very much needed smoke break, that’s why he was glad to see that Jay had decided to do the same.
“Hey” he greeted, the smoke exiting his lungs at the same time as his words “Haven’t seen you in a while, how are you?”
Where: Barbara Gordon’s apartment, Matchak
When: Present day
@beendeaddonethat
It was common practice for Alfred to stop at Barbara’s apartment a couple of times a week to either drop off supplies and equipment, spend some time with Catsby, or simply put food in her fridge. He always did that, regardless of the real reason he was there, though today was a combination trip of all those things. He had a few supplies to leave there, some brownies and actual leftover meals he intended to leave in her fridge, and he would spend some time with the irascible cat with the rather ridiculous name. Alfred would never say that to Barbara, of course, one just accepted the names of other people’s animals, but surely she could’ve come up with something better. Regardless, his arms were rather full as he climbed the stairs, a box under one arm, a bag hanging off his wrist, and keys in one hand. While the Sokovian weather was starting to turn towards spring, Alfred found that he still felt the cold rather keenly so he was still wearing a long, warm coat and a scarf.
Reaching her door, he juggled things around a little in order to be able to get the keys in the lock. Barbara was rarely home when he made these visits but he’d just come to see them as more of his duties extended outside of the Mousehole. The door finally open, he walked inside, expecting to find the apartment empty but for one grouchy cat. That was not what he found. Instead, there was already a light on and there was someone on the couch. Alfred tensed for a moment, regretting that he hadn’t thought to bring his umbrella gun until he recognized the figure on the couch, though it had been several years.
“Master Jason.” The name left his lips as a sharp exhale and the surprise of it ruffled Alfred’s usual staunch composure. He wasn’t generally terribly expressive but seeing him so suddenly and unprepared had emotion flashing across his face. Surprise, relief, happiness, but also pain as it was impossible for the last time he’d seen him not to come rushing back in brutal clarity. Alfred had failed him, hadn’t been able to pull him back from the chasm he’d been watching Jason teeter over, and for a while they’d all thought he’d died because of that. It had taken Alfred a long time to reconcile that and he hadn’t truly forgiven himself. He was struck by the strong urge to both rush over and hug Jason as well as shake him until he agreed to come home. Alfred did neither.
Swallowing, he tried to regain himself, though he couldn’t take his eyes off the other man as he moved to the counter to put the bag of food and the box down but he didn’t continue from there. Normally, he would have bustled about and put the food in the fridge and started writing Barbara a note but he was transfixed and trying to get a handle on his emotions. He had the strong feeling he was failing. “I trust you’ve been receiving my messages?” That seemed sort of neutral but also inane and of course he’d trusted Barbara to pass them along. Then he reprimanded himself for it and shook his head.
“I’ll put on some tea.” He smiled, because he was glad to see him, in spite of everything else and this situation certainly required tea. “It’s good to see you.” It was quiet, sincere. He wasn’t one for emotional displays but he had a feeling there would be an exception to that rule, possibly for this whole conversation.
Readers digest of under the cut: Sylvia and Jason start their date with Pippa to Sylvias first NHL game in Chicago. They start driving and getting to know eachother. They realize they arrive too early. Hand jobs ensue.
Jason: Jason was nervous. Nervous in the way a kid was on their first day of school, full of anxiety and trepidation. He'd felt this before, it wasn't unlike the uneasiness that doctors had explained as left over post-concussion symptoms. After a glorious four hours of sleep Jason McKinney had woken up dreading something he couldn't quite pinpoint. In fact maybe dread wasn't even the right word to describe it, it was more of an unpleasant anticipation. It was eerily similar to the sensation that overtook him when he played his final season in the NHL. Pushing it aside he went about his day, keeping Philippa occupied and happy, talking to his sister, even taking some time to do a few loads of wash that had been fermenting in the laundry basket for what felt like weeks. It was like any other day, only he could feel the unquiet of evening ahead. It wasn't the company that made his stomach summersault and his head spin. He always looked forward to seeing Sylvia, she was one of the few women in his life he didn't feel like he needed to impress, not by any fault of the others, but Sylvia was a fellow athlete, she understood the life he'd once lived. Five in afternoon came quickly and just as he was towelling off from his first shower in a few days there was a knock on the door. Towel wrapped around his waist and Pippa in his arms he ran to open it, greeting Sylvia with a smile. "Sorry, we had a little incident in the shower, took longer than I anticipated," he explained as beads of water dripped down his chest. Pulling down the hood to Pippa's towel-- a design that involved bunny ears and a pink nose -- he teasingly looked down at his daughter, indicating that it was entirely the baby's fault he was running behind.
Sylvia: Sylvia enjoyed Jasons company, more than she enjoyed most peoples company in Rockford and she couldn't pinpoint why. Was it because they teased and flirted with eachother but never made it physical? Or was it because he had been around long enough to know her antics and didn't care. She wore a simple outfit consisting of black ripped jeans and a oversized flannel with a white tank top under that hugged her small torso. She had planned on buying a jersey once they got to the game, but figured this would do for now. Sylvia looked at the clock, noticing she was right on time for once. She checked her make up in the mirror once more to realize her hands were sweaty. She wiped her hands down her legs and took a deep breath before heading out the door. Sylvia drove to Jasons home. Jason lived on the outskirts of town in a nice home, one she had visited a few times before. There was something about Jason that continued to draw the woman in. Knocking on the door she waited patiently. Seeing Jason brought a bright smile to the womans face. She was taken back at the lack of clothing Jason had on. Once again, she was hyper focused on her sweaty palms. Sylvia causally placed her hands in her back pockets and chuckled "It's okay! She's cute enough to make anything okay" She said nodding at the small baby in his arms.
Jason: "You wouldn't be saying that if you knew what I just had to clean up," he shuddered with a laugh, inviting her in. Jason was used to being puked on, he could handle a mid-diaper change pee, but he would never get used to to baby shit. His sister had promised it would get easier, but three months as a single father and he still gagged every time it got near him. "We should probably get dressed, I hear it's cold in rinks. Might have something to do with the sheets of ice, but I'm no educated man," he smiled and looked down at Pippa who was staring at Sylvia with wide eyes and a gummy smile. "Help yourself to whatever is in the fridge." He felt guilty making her wait, but he was quickly learning that was the reality of trying to take a baby anywhere. Once back in his room he lay Pippa on a towel on the bed and begged her not to cry as he ran around trying to get dressed. But her new place away from him was far from satisfactory and she let out an angry wail as he pulled on his boxers. "C'mon Minnie Kinny," he said in a goofy voice. "You gotta let daddy put some pants on. Pants are good," Jason pulled a pair of jeans out of the closet, they were the nicer ones he rarely got a reason to wear. "Daddy in no pants usually leads to things than make more Pippas. And we don't need any more Pippas, not when the one we have is so perfect," he babbled on, trying to catch her attention and pulled the jeans on, noticing they were tighter than they had been the last time he wore them. When he realized the his talking wouldn't soothe her, he finally scooped her up in one arm and began bouncing her around as he wrestled a white t-shirt over his head and grabbed his jacket and toque from the chair. It was about as styled as he was going to get, far more than the usual gym shorts and cut up t-shirts she'd seen him in. Dressing Pippa was a far harder task, but one that didn't require closed doors. He'd yet to actually set up her bedroom so it was more like a giant closet than anything, but fortunately he was able to dig out her thick tights and a corduroy skirt that someone had given him. More importantly, he found the infant sized L.A Kings jersey Dustin Brown had sent him after she was born, with the name McKinney stitched on the back and a tiny 33 that was smaller than his hand. Her birth had led to an influx of custom baby jerseys from his friends around the league, from the Edmonton Oilers to the New York Islanders, she was set until she was in kindergarten, but out of superstition and perhaps mercy, he'd only ever put her in the Kings one. "Okay," he declared, entering the living room. "We just need to wrangle her into going out clothes and we should be good to go."
Sylvia: Sylvia smiled at the man and shook her head laughing as she leaned against his counter in the kitchen "You should probably get dressed" She teased with a wink. "Let me know if you need help" She called after him as he walked towards his room. Sylvia grabbed a class out of his cabinet and filled it with water taking a long drink. Sylvia didn't want to drink, she might have a beer at the hockey game, but she wasn't 100% set either way. She just wanted to spend time with Jason and Pippa. Sylvia started to hear Jason talking over Pippas screaming. She couldn't help but smile, hearing his words. He was so gentle with her, as most men his age would be screaming and being overly frustrated with the child. When he appeared sylvia smiled at him "You look nice, I like those jeans" She said nodding down at his jeans. She wasnt used to seeing him in jeans, or anything other than basketball shorts. "Sounds good. You distract her and I try to get those cute little legs into those tights?" She asked raising an eyebrow nodding towards the couch. Sylvia made her way towards the living room and got down on the floor ready to help Jason. Sylvia never had siblings, but her teammates all had kids, and had her watch them often, so she knew how to act around kids and knew that distractions were the easiest way to get kids dressed and ready to go. "Do you have a diaper bag packed love?" She asked looking over at jason "Or should I do that?" She asked curiously. The word love slipped from her lips so effortlessly, one she probably shouldn't have said, but she couldn't take it back now.
Jason: The part of him that controlled his libido desperately wanted to ask her to join him in the room. He wanted nothing more than to get his sick ducked and let loose a little. But He knew better than to cross that line, even if her wink did make his balls ache slightly. "Thanks," he laughed at her noticing the jeans. "Custom made and rarely worn," he explained. Like most hockey players, Jason struggled to fit his lower body into jeans sold in stores. It wasn't as big an issue now that he wasn't skating everyday, but he still found his ass to waist ratio was a bit too much for regular pants to handle. Laying Pippa on her back he tried to grab her attention long enough to change her diaper, but instead she grabbed his hair and pulled him towards her. He yelped in pain and she let out a tiny giggle. "Violence is not the way to get kisses," he growled at her comedically, peppering her cheeks with kisses and eventually prying her hands from his wet locks. "If you think you can handle that job it's all yours," he held up his hands in defeat. "You can take the diaper while your down there," Jason laughed and tossed her the tights, moving to the side to give her room to work and grabbing the stuffed carrot Pippa had grown attached to. "Minnie Kinny," he coo'd grabbing her focus and shaking the carrot towards her, its little arms and legs moving frantically as it got closer to her and moved away. "I'll eat you up," he said as if he was the talking carrot, a scene that would only make sense to a baby. "I think it should be good, I just need to throw in a few bottles. There should be three made in the fridge." Jason spoke as if this was a usual routine between them.
Sylvia: Sylvia got down on the floor and laughed at his comment "I'm totally willing to try to handle it at least" she said catching the tights. As the man played with Pippa, Sylvia took her two annkles in one hand, putting the diaper on her quickly. "Score" She mumbled to herself before taking the tights and moving them onto her feet. She was flailing her feet and arms which caused the tights to flail and hit Sylvia in the face. Sylvia couldn't help but laugh "you're lucky you're cute" She said glancing up at Jason before looking down at the little girl. She moved the tights up quickly and adjusted them so they fit right and sighed in relief "No more. She'll just go out like this" She teased looking up at Jason.
Sylvia: Sylvia took the skirt from the couch next to her and slipped it over her legs quickly lifting her butt getting it to the right spot before buttoning it. "Now for the hard part" She said as she picked the baby up to slip the small head through the head hole in the jersey. She had to reach her hands into the tiny arm holes in order to guide the girls hands through. Soon, she was done. Sylvia placed her hands on her tights and let out a sigh "I have to give you props. This whole thing is hard" She admitted to the man with a small smile "Are we all ready? Am I dressed appropriately? I was hoping to see if they still have any McKinney Jerseys in the team store to change into" She teased looking over at the taller man.
Jason: "Free the nipple!" Jason laughed, tickling Pippa's stomach. "It's a work out eh?" he looked at Sylvia almost sympathetically. It wasn't a task he'd ever gotten good at, especially with his jacked up hands. He watched as she wrestled her tiny body into the shirts and couldn't help but be impressed. "Why do you think she's always in pyjamas or nothing at all?" he cocked his head to the side and smiled. Pippa was always content to hang out in her diaper and the warmer it got the more content he was with leaving her like that. "You look great," he took Pippa in his arms and stood up, pulling her signature head band with oversized bow over her head and tucking her ears in comfortably. There was a toque in the bag but he didn't want her to swelter in the spring warmth. "You'll be hard pressed to find a McKinney jersey in the Chicago area," he shook his head and laughed at how adorably naive she was, then made his way to the front closet and pulled out one of his many jerseys, this one matching Pippa's perfectly. He tossed it to her with a smile. "Just don't come crying to me if someone gives you the gears for wearing a Kings jersey to a Blackhawks game."
Sylvia: Sylvia couldn't help but laugh along with him "It really is" She told him honestly as she finished standing up to catch the Jersey from him "Hey thanks" She said slipping the flannel off her shoulders exposing the white tank top that hugged every curve of her body perfectly "Hey, I won't come crying to anyone. I'd rather rep you than anyone on the ice" she said honestly before slipping the jersey over her head. Matching with Pippa brought a large smile to Sylvias face "Look Pip, we match" She teased before ticking the girls small stomach a large grin spreading over her lips "Wheres your jersey?" Sylvia asked raising an eyebrow looking the man up and down crossing her arms. The arms on the jersey were a bit long, SYlvias hands getting burried in the fabric "Do you want me to drab the bag?" She asked looking up at him placing her own purse over her shoulder glancing around the room. Sylvia grabbed the carrot off the couch "Just in case?" She asked suggesting that the two bring it with them.
Jason: "You might want to bring the shirt," Jason suggested, knowing how cold it can get. "I figured you could take anyone. I don't like to wear jerseys if I don't have to," he said with a shrug. There were so many reasons he didn't wear them, but he didn't know where to begin. "Besides, you guys look better than I ever could," his lips turned into a soft smile and grabbed Pippa's car seat from the floor, setting it on the table and strapping her in much to her dismay. She let out a few squawks before he could grab a soother to distract her. "Thanks," he said to Sylvia, his head in the closet looking for one of the many jersey cloth carriers his sister had sent him. "Smart," Jason grinned when he'd emerged from the back of the closet with a striped wrap in hand and noticed her holding the carrot. "Hopefully it'll keep her quiet for most of the ride. It was over an hour to Chicago, but with puck drop at 8pm he wasn't too worried about making it there. What he was worried about was seeing his old team play the team he hated most in the league. patting his pocket to make sure he had the baggie of pills he carried around, Jason grabbed his wallet and keys and opened the door. "Did you grab he bottles?" he asked anxiously. "Maybe I should take a few more diapers. Did you notice if there was a change of clothes in the bag?"
Sylvia: "Meh, I'll just use you to keep me warm" She said with a shrug before she nodded. It hit her then that she had probably asked one of the stupidest questions she could have. "Stop it. Those jeans outshine mine any day" She teased before looking around at his frantic questions "Shit hold on" She said as she dug through the bag over his shoulder. "You have two changes of clothes, a jacket and one, two, five diapers. I think we should be okay. Should I grab some wipes and put them in my purse? Just in case? Or any baby friendly snacks?" She asked curiously looking up at him biting her bottom lip "I don't know how to do this whole parent thing... not that I'm her parent because I'm not but I don't take kids with me often, most of the places I go involve alcohol and that's not a good place for kids and I'm not a good thing for kids to be around most of the time so I just" She stopped herself realizing she was babbling and looked down. "Sorry.. for some reason.. I'm really nervous? Or anxious.. I can't tell."
Jason: "Sounds good to me," he winked, far more flirtatiously than he'd intended to. "They cost enough," Jason mumbled about his jeans, running his hands down his thighs. He listened to her answer his questions, relieved that she was as concerned with Pippa's wellbeing as he seemed to be. "I think there are wipes in there but I have some in the truck," he scanned the room for anything else he could miss. "She's not on solids yet," he shook his head and smiled at the thought of baby friendly snacks. The only snacks she needed were the bottles of frozen breastmilk he'd ordered and the formula he supplemented with. "No, I know what you mean," he rest his hand on her shoulder, recognizing that she was probably as anxious as he was but for very different reasons. "I'm not even sure how to do the parent thing and she's mine. I figure there's nothing we can't buy in the city if we don't need it." Picking up Pippa in her car seat he gestured for Sylvia to go first out the door so he could lock up. "That's probably my fault," he told her with a sad smile. "As my sister would say, my energy is restless and is disrupting yours," he said it with a twisted smile on his face and mock tone that made him sound like the kind of person who wore Birkenstocks all year long.
Sylvia: "I can only imagine" She said in regard to the cost of his jeans. She nodded "Hey, I don't know. she could be into those like puff rice snacks that all the babies in the world seem to be eating now a days" She teased as if it was some big fad " When she felt his hand on her shoulder she took a deep breath only to let it out slowly once again "Thank you" She said with a nod "You're doing a pretty good job, if I'm being honest" She told him with a small honest smile. When the walked out the door she heard his words and shook her head "No, it's not your fault. You're not restless, you're flirtatious and attractive and sweet and heartwarming. Not Restless. I'm just not as put together as I put myself out there to be" She said honestly with a shrug before offering a smile "Shall we?" She asked nodding towards the stairs down the porch. Sylvia walked slowly towards his truck, placing her purse in his front seat before opening the back door in order to help him with Pippas car seat "Are you excited? For the game?" She asked curiously "Don't feel like you have to stay the whole time.. okay? I know this is going to be hard.." She whispered to the man placing her hand on his back.
Jason: "Is that what all the cool babies are eating these days?" Jason teased with a low chuckle. People had told him before that he was doing a good job with Pippa, but he wasn't ever sure he believed them. Sure she was alive, in one piece and seemed to be happy, but he didn't want to jinx anything. He didn't think it was really possible to tell he was doing a good job until after the fact. Until she started to become her own person. Everything before her independence just seemed like survival instincts and he'd been fortunate enough to get a daughter who was easy to please socially. "Heartwarming?" he cocked his head to the side and smirked. "There's a new one, but I'll take it." He knew exactly what she meant about not being put together and hearing it made he want to wrap his arms around her and hold her pieces in place for a while. But Jason knew better. He'd been down that road before. He'd been the guy who wanted to fix everyone's problems, take them on as his own, in some cases even adopt them, but he refused to play that role again. He followed her to the car and unlocked the door, opening the backseat first to get Pippa situated. "Yeah," his voice cracked awkwardly and he felt betrayed by his body for the hundredth time that day. When her hand touched his back he turned around, suddenly far more vulnerable than he was ever used to. "Okay," he said softly. "I'm not really sure what to expect." There was a shrug, the crutch he used to make it seem like he wasn't as invested or emotional as he was. "I told some of the guys we'd go out for drinks after if Pippa's doing alright," he told her, having forgot to mention it earlier.
Sylvia: "Oh yeah, because I know what all the cool babies are eating" She teased before rolling her eyes. Sylvia checked her hair in the mirror once more out at the car before glancing over at him "I'm not sure either, but I'm willing to go through it with you and be there the whole time. " She said honestly before smiling sadly at his shrug. She had seen it so many times before with him, he used it to hide whatever he was really feeling. Something that broke her heart every time. She wanted so badly to get to know the man. Once they got Pippa strapped in she stood in front of him next to the truck with doe like eyes at the mention of drinks and his old teammates "Oh yeah? Should I be nervous?" She asked curiously looking up at him with a smirk. "I mean, we could probably find a babysitter for pippa overnight if you really wanted, and we could just go spend the night in chicago.. I don't know how we'll have drinks with the little one. unless she goes into a bar with us, I mean or we could go to an applebees and I could just get drunk off of martinis" She said with a small laugh before shrugging "I'm up to anything, you know that" She told him with a squeeze of his arm before hoisting herself into his truck.
Jason: "Thanks," he said as he opened the driver's door. "Don't be nervous," Jason laughed, putting his sunglasses on and smiling. "They'll think your with me so they'll leave you alone, unless you want to bag an NHL player." He winked an rest his foot on the lift. "She can come anywhere we go," he said with a shake of his head. "They'll want to get food so we'll get a room in some over priced joint. You drink as much as you want though." Getting into the truck, Jason watched to make sure she was in before cranking the ignition. "Anything?" he said with a suggestive eyebrow, feeling that same ache in his groin
Sylvia: Sylvia bucked up before listening to the man nodding "I mean, I am with you " She said with a laugh "Well.. not like in that way, but I mean, we're going out together, so I figured that's close enough for them to not see me as freshmeat and fair game" She teased "I mean, if I wanted to bag an NHL player I could just bag you" She said with a sweet wink in his direction. She nodded at his comment "I can get the room, it's not a huge deal. I don't need to drink a ton, I'll probably just have one beer" She said to him honestly before smirking at him "if you play your cards right" She said honestly.
Jason: "Most of them are married," he informed her with a smirk and pulled out of the driveway. Glancing in the mirror, he noticed Pippa was already asleep and hoped she'd stay that way. He already had a headache and wasn't sure he could handle a meltdown from her. The last thing he wanted was to have Sylvia see him cry right along with Pippa like he had so many times already. "You think you could bag me eh?" Jason looked at her willing himself not to get too excited. "I meant they'll get a room in a restaurant. They like to throw their money around like that," he explained. He used to be that way too. Doing everything to avoid fans and never considering money as an issue. "And what if I play them wrong?" He'd never been much good at poker.
Sylvia: "Ah, the married life. " She said with an eyeroll. Sylvia listened to the man and chuckled "Oh, I know I could" She told him with a smile, looking over at the man "That's crazy, whats the point in that? Private service?" She asked curiously. Even when she played in the lingerie league, she didn't throw money around like that. Though she had it, a lot of it went into savings. "If you play them wrong, you might still get what you want" She said looking out the window before looking over at him. "I almost kissed you that night I was over for dinner.. numerous times" She said to him honestly before looking back at Pippa and over at Jason once more.
Jason: "Married life isn't so bad," he shot back at her as they hit the highway. "What makes you so sure about that? Is my reputation really that bad?" Jason smirked and fiddled with the air conditioning, just for something to do. "It's a privacy thing. Mostly just happens in hockey towns where they don't want to get recognized. It can be a bit overwhelming when you're trying to eat and there are fans coming up every bite. But yeah, private service comes with it." He let the vaguely sexual tones go over his head. "And what exactly do I want?" Jason kept his eyes on the road, glancing down at the speedometer every so often and at the mirror that showed him Pippa. "What?" the voice crack got him again and he cleared his throat. "What stopped you? Could you tell I hadn't showered in days?"
Sylvia: "Oh no, Married life may not be that bad, but the single life is far more fun. Unless you find someone that's just simply fun to be around" She said with a smile. She hadnt thought about getting married, ever actually. "I totally get it.. See when I played in the Lingerie league, we had a lot of fans running up to us, but most respected our space" She said with a shrug "I don't miss it though.. the constant fans. I like being able to walk down the street and be just Sylvia, instead of number 18." She spoke honestly for the first time about football with the man "I dont know, I guess you'll have to show me later?" She said arching an eyebrow looking over at him. The voice crack made a large grin fall over her lips "You're adorable. " She said shaking her head with a red blush covering her cheeks "I just.. I just couldn't do it? I got nervous? I dont know. It didn't feel right at the time" She told him
Jason: "Maybe so, but I gotta say, Lara and I had a lot of fun in those early days. God some of the shit we used to do was just nuts," Jason shook his head, recalling some of the more adventurous moments of his married life. There were days he was happy to be single, but a lot of the time he missed the security that came with having a wife at home and being under the illusion that she loved you. "I didn't realize it was such a popular sport," he said honestly. "I can imagine you guys probably got some less than desirable fans at times." That was the hardest part about being an athlete in his mind, but at the same time it could also be the best part. Somedays all it took was a fan to remind you that you weren't just playing a game for selfish reasons. "It's a good feeling, eh? Sometimes people recognize me and I can't figure out why at first, then I remember that I'm not Jason to them, I'm McKinny33." So many times he'd run into a fan at the grocery store and looked at them strange when they addressed him as Kinner or Kinzy like his teammates had, eventually it would click but those few seconds were always awkward. Her suggestive comment made his stomach twinge again, it made him wish he could pull over and bend her over the back of the truck, but that was both illegal and inappropriate. "I'm not adorable," he said with a growl. "I'm manly and tough, don't forget that I could hunt and gather if I had to!" He was mostly kidding but a part of him didn't want her to find him cute, he wanted her to want more than that, if only to know that he was still desirable. "That makes sense. I also probably didn't smell the greatest," he laughed wondering if he should tell her that next time she wanted to he would be more than happy to participate.
Sylvia: "I don't think I'll ever get married.. honestly, it's just not for me" She said honestly with a shrug. Sylvia never saw herself worthy of getting married and being happy the way her moms were. It wasn't something she ever saw for herself, even when she was in relationships, it wasnt an option in her mind. "Oh yeah, it's televised and everything. Players get paid too" She mentioned with a shrug before smiling and nodding "Oh yeah, They were less than desirable half the time. Lots of ass grabbing and how much do I pay you to go to bed with me guys.. It was rough. I was the youngest in the league at 18, They nicknamed me legal" She said with a laugh falling from her red lips " It's okay, I mean, here I don't get it as often as I did in portland" She told him with a shrug. "That voice crack? That's adorable. But, You can hunt and gather and I'll never call you adorable again" She said with a wink "You're more than the physical stuff.. You're smart, and honest. it's a breath of fresh air" She told him nodding slowly "No, you smelt fine.. it was intoxicating actually. I get really awkward and nervous and then my palms sweat and it's all bad" She rambled once again before running her hands down her thighs.
Jason: "Fair enough," Jason smiled at her. To him the idea of not getting married was one that seemed strange. It would probably surprised most people who didn't know him well, be as much as he liked the party life, he liked being settled. There was something about it that made him feel safe. A sensation he didn't experience very often. "That's really cool," he let out a chuckle. "I'll have to watch it sometime. Yeah I don't know how you put up with that shit. I've never been a fan of that kind of shit. I mean I've done my fair share of sleeping around and objectifying women, but that shit is just too far. It scares me to think that people treat women like that and Pips is going to grow up being shit on because my lucky swimmer didn't have a Y chromosome to give her mother." He shook his head in frustration. He hadn't talked to anyone other than his sister about this kind of thing and was a bit shocked by his own behaviour. "I can hunt and gather us some beers tonight," he suggested, changing the topic before he got too heated. "Wow," he smiled at her, glancing back at Pippa again. "You're gonna get me all emotional her Syl." He teased, wrinkling his nose, but taking it to heart entirely. Something about the way she said it made him feel warm all over. The way she continued to talk about him made his jeans suddenly feel a bit tighter and he squirmed awkwardly in his seat. He'd never been so easy to rise but after months of inaction he couldn't help it. "I get it," he assured her. "But for the record, if you...." he let out an anxious breath. "I'm not going to push you away. I mean I'm not crazy."
Sylvia: "MY moms have been married for over 25 years.. It's just.. I dont know it's complicated I guess. " She said rolling her eyes at the idea. Hearing him say he wanted to watch it sometime she laughed " Yeah, I mean there's a chicago team. They're okay I guess. They tend to lose.. a lot" She mentioned falling into a fit of laughter befor she noticed how heated he got about the way men objectify women " I think Pip will be okay.. She has a strong protective dad to keep her on track. I got suspended in high school because I socked a guy in the face for grabbing my ass in the hallway. I broke his nose" She bragged winking at jason. "I'm totally down for some beers. " She said with a sign of relief. Work had been stressful, and photoshoots after photoshoots were bringing her down. She was tired, she had slight bags under her eyes and she wasnt her happy pippy self as she normally was "Seeing you emotional? That'd be a record" She teased before hearing him she bit her lip "Good to know.. Very good to know"
Jason: "Wow, that's a long time," he smiled, thinking of his own parents who were going on 34 this year. "It's not for everyone. I don't think my ex was cut out for it to be honest, it's a lot of work and if you're not feeling the whole thing it can blow up really quickly." Jason wondered if Lara would ever get married again, and the idea of her even consider it made him feel uneasy. "I hate Chicago sports teams, we'll have to go to Portland. I want to see a good game," he said with a grin. Any excuse to travel was a welcome one. "Okay when she's like 10 I'm sending her to you. It's one thing to have a dad, it's another thing to hold your own. I want her to know I've got her back but she's capable of holding her own. I hate that shit about dad with a shotgun and never letting her date. I joke about it sometimes, but I just want her to be strong." Looking back at her he was relieved to see her still asleep. They weren't far from the city and the idea of her sleeping the whole trip was strangely exciting for me. "What? You don't think I'm an emotional dude?" he cocked his head to the side, switching lanes to pass a minivan. "You'd be surprised. She's made me soft." The statement in contrast to his crotch made him smile to himself. "Yeah?" he asked genuinely curious. "Look, here's the thing. I haven't been with anyone since before Philippa was born. And I mean like a few months before, so I gotta be honest with you, I'm fucking nervous. Like the last thing I want to do is be a two pump chump."
Sylvia: "Yeah, they adopted me pretty early in their marriage, and I think i turned out okay all thanks to them" She said with a large grin. "I mean.. I love the idea of love.. but I don't know. I dont deserve that. There's so many wonderful people who deserve amazing things in life and I don't know if I do? Does that make sense?" She asked looking over at him. She noticed they were driving into the big city as she grinned looking out the windows. Chicago always reminded her of portland "Then you'll have to meet my moms.. and the team. They own it" She mentioned off handedly as if it wasnt a big deal, though it was. Owning a multi million dollar team in such a big franchise was a big deal. Almost as big of a deal as Sylvia playing for them. "Hey, I'll gladly teach her all I know. I didn't have a dad so I just kinda did my own thing. " She said honestly. "No! It's just.. you hide things, you kinda burry things under your cute little shrug. There's more to you, I know it. I just gotta wait" She said honestly. She didn't want to pry things out of him, but to say she wasnt curious was a lie. "Yeah" She mentioned placing her hand on his leg as he drove. Sylvia couldn't help but smile at his words "See.. You probably know this about me, but I sleep around. I'm not proud of it but I've got a lot of baggage on my back. I do want you to know, I don't think you're someone I'd kick out of my house post lay.. I think I'd like you to stay.. But, that being said. If you're a two pump chump, that doesnt matter. Lets not get ahead of ourselves.. lets just.. let things go?" She said looking at him as they stopped at a stop light "I don't want tonight to be ruined because we're anxious and trying to get back to a hotel room.. I just want to enjoy the night and if it ends up there, it does? I'm not saying I wouldn't like that because I would. I mean, I did see you pretty much naked today."
Jason: "Yeah you're not bad," he teased. Jason tried to imagine what it might be like to be adopted but he couldn't. He'd grown up always knowing that he had his mother's mouth and his father's eyes. It was just part of his reality. "It makes sense," he nodded, the words almost hurting him to hear. "I mean, I don't think it's true, but I get it. That's how I felt when Lara and I got divorced. Like I'd had my dose of happy and it was over. But I think you're pretty fuckin' rad." He was useless with the soft words and sentimental expressions, but she seemed to understand that and he figured he didn't need to go on. "That's beyond cool. I mean all my parents own is a goat and a few horses. Yours have a professional sports team." Jason laughed at the mention of his parents goat, Rover3 was a family icon. He was the grandson of their first goat Rover the Original, a true McKinney family mascot who liked to ram his head into the back of the work truck. "I don't hide things," he scoffed, knowing damn well that was a lie. He hid things so far down it was amazing he could even find them. Her hand on his leg made it even harder to focus on the conversation. If it hadn't been for Pippa he would have pulled into a parking lot and begged her to touch him. He hated himself for being so eager and hearing her tell him not to count his chickens before they hatch made him regret opening his stupid mouth. Cursing himself, he ran his tongue over his bottom lip and turned onto the main road to take the to the rink. "Yeah, totally. I just like, figured I'd mention it in case it made you re-consider that whole wanting to thing." His words were honest but his demeanour was reserved and almost cold. That was how he handled things, he didn't like revealing himself as much as he did, so it was easier to shut down than to battle through it
Sylvia: Sylvia shrugged, moving on from the subject of marriage "Goats?! I always wanted goats.. but they had a dog instead" She said listening to him "I mean, I have my own dog and she's pretty fun" When he scoffed she rlled her eyes and laughed "Right." She said looking at him intently before to the road once again "Oh, no, I don't think that's something I'd reconsider" She said squeezing his knee sweetly. They pulled up to the large hockey areana and her eyes widened "Is this it?" She said in awe. The only professional teams portland had were basketball and lingerie football, so big stadiums like this were unheard of to the woman "I have to tell you, I know nothing about hockey and you're going to have to explain things to me" She mentioned once again as Jason parked the car. She took his hand off his knee and sighed "Hey.." She said softly looking in the back seat to make sure pippa was still asleep. She leaned across the center counsel "Just to.. break the ice?" She spoke not above a whisper before placing her lips against his.
Jason: "It was only like two at a time max," he explained with a laugh. "The Rovers were more for decoration than any kind of function. Mean fuckers though. I've been thinking about getting a dog," he shrugged. "Yeah well I just wanted to give you the option. Like no pressure or whatever," Jason felt like a charity case when he said that. Like some sad fuck who couldn't get any and she was giving him a mercy jump. Her hand squeezing him as they parked made him feel a bit better and he told himself it was only a few more minutes until they were inside and he could rearrange in the bathroom. "This is it. And don't worry, neither do most Blackhawks fans, but I'll teach you," he assured her with a smile, cutting the engine as he pulled into a spot in the parkade. Pippa had yet to stir and he hoped she'd stay that calm for the whole night. He wasn't expecting her lips to land on his, and was pleasantly surprised when they collided. Letting out a struggled moan, he moved his hands to cup her face, kissing her softly. He didn't want to seem eager, even though his body was tingling and he could feel his heart speeding up. "Fuck," the word tumbled from his lips when he pulled away to take a breath, a dazed look in his eyes and a throbbing in his groin.
Sylvia: "Well, no pressure to you either.. You have that option too. For all I care we could drink and just pass out on some hotel" She teased with a smile "But there's better ways for the night to end" She winked at the man before hearing his joke about blackhawks fans "Good to know, I'll fit right in"She said raising an eyebrow. As he cupped her face she leaned into him more. Sylvia was not tall, she was short. Her small body was nearly in his lap as she pulled herself closer to him. When his lips broke from hers she let out a soft breath of air "Yeah... that's the same word going through my head" She was pleasantly surprised at how soft his lips were, and how careful he was with her, it was something almost natural between the two "Should we.. go in?" She asked looking outside and looking back at the sleeping baby. Her cheeks were red, but red in a flustered way, rather than embarrassments
Jason: Jason shook his head and smiled. "I'm fine with either, but yeah, I'm thinking of better ways." His mind was racing with images of what their night could be. noticing she was almost straddling the console, he leaned closer to her, his lips finding hers again and his arms scooping her up and moving her to his lap. "We have a few minutes until puck drop," he said coyly, his lips peppering hers with kisses and his face flushed and warm. He moved a piece of hair out of her face and smiled subtly, not entirely sure what she wanted him to do. It alarmed him how off his game he was. This wasn't the Jason who had fucked half of the town, hell this wasn't even the Jason who fucked Maisyn, he felt like a different person, shy almost, like he was 18 again.
Sylvia: Sylvia squeaked slightly as he pulled her into his lap careful not to lean against the steering wheel, fearful of the horn bringing attention to the two. Her lips found his carefully placing her arms around the mans neck her fingers playing with his hair slowly when he broke the kiss she couldnt help but smirk "Good, I wasn't ready to go in just yet" She told him honestly. She placed her lips against his kissing him deeply for a moment before pulling away. She nipped at her bottom lip looking at him taking a few deep breaths in. When he pushed her hair out of her face she looked down and allowed a smile to fall over her lips "Normally, I'm able to take charge.. but I just. I'm blanking on what you do when you're in a cute guys lap" she said honestly before she cupped his cheek placing her lips against his once again just for a split second leaning her forehead against his catching her breath
Jason: Jason chuckled at the noise she made, letting his hands rest on her hips as she kissed him. The feeling of her fingers in his hair made a shiver go up his spine. With the press of a button he moved the seat back so she'd have more room. "Who are we?" he laughed, his forehead pressed against hers between kisses. "We are not people who should be fumbling around," he let out a chuckle before his lips went back to hers, his tongue tracing her bottom lip as his hands slipped up the back of her shirt... or rather his. "I don't know if you can tell, but I want you... like crazy."
Sylvia: Sylvia kissed him slowly and broke the kiss to hear his words "I have no idea.. I feel like a teenager" She said softly with a chuckle falling from her lips "we'll figure it out" She said to him before returning her lips to his. feeling his tongue over her bottom lip she couldn't help but moan. She allowed him access and arched her back towards his chest. Her chest pressing to his "I want you.. so bad.. Is here the right place? Or should we wait? or?" She asked softly against his lips, her hands trailing from his hair down his chest
Jason: "Me too," he smiled, barely breaking their lips apart. His tongue moved against hers as soon as she let him in, the moan making him even more excited to be touching her. "I don't think I can wait," he admitted, blushing. He hated how eager he was. Jason was used to being the on who could go for hours without breaking a sweat, but suddenly he was discombobulated and almost pawing at her. One of his hands moved around to her front, slipping between them and cupping her breast and lightly brushing his thumb over her nipple. Someone needed to take control, and it was a role he was used to. "I want to make you cum before we go in there," he said with certainty. "But I'm not fucking you until tonight." Jason couldn't tell if he was challenging himself or showing of, but either way he knew he was going to have to get himself together and quickly.
Sylvia: Sylvia gripped his shirt as she kissed him slowly, but feverishly. When his hands cupped her breasts she filled his mouth with a sweet moan before nipping on his bottom lip "Fuck" She mumbled against his lips at his words. Sylvia wasnt used to being teased, she was used to a guy wanting to get it in and get it done and that's it. This, was something she wasnt used to. She moved her lips from his down to his neck and started to kiss his skin, nipping it slightly. Her hands moved down from his chest to his lap, gently pressing on his member.
Jason: Jason let out a noise that was something between a groan and a whine. The feeling of her lips on his neck and her hand on his bulge made him dizzy with lust. As she nipped at his thin skin he let his hand move from her breast to the waistband of her pants. playing with the elastic before moving his fingers underneath and rubbing the damp fabric of her underwear. "Fuck," he hissed. "Tell me I did this to you," he growled pressing his fingers against her a little more.
Sylvia: Sylvia took in a harsh breath when she felt his fingers against her. Her hands fumbled with his belt and then the button on his jeans before unzipping them. Moaning she moved her lips towards his ear to whisper "Jason, you make me so wet." She whispered allowing her lips to brush against his skin before she nipped at his earlobe. Her hands fumbled with his jeans in order to get them unzipped enough for her to pull his member out from the entrance in his boxers. Her hand gripped his member, her thumb moving over his tip "You're so big" She whispered against his ear once again.
Sylvia joined the chat 4 days ago
Jason: "Good," he chuckled, his cock throbbing as she reached for it. Her breath tickled his ear and he considered ditching the part about waiting until later. Moving the fabric out of the way just slightly he danced his fingers along her moistened skin, parting the folds a little more as he made his way up and down. Hearing her talk about his size made beads of pre-cum form on the tip. "Yeah?" he asked, wanting her to tell him more as he ran his thumb over her clit.
Sylvia: Sylvia moved her thumb over the tip of his member before starting her slow strokes up and down his shaft. As his thumb moved over her clit she arched her back nuzzling her head into his neck moaning softly. She didn't want to be too loud, but she wasn't used to being quiet. Pulling out of his neck, sylvia planted her lips against Jasons as her hand moved faster and faster with every thrust of her hand "I can't wait for you to fuck me later" She mumbled against his pink lips
Jason: Feeling her move against him when he got to her clit brought a smile to his lips. Her moans were intoxicating and he tried to coax more out of her by repeating the motion. A shudder left his body when she began pumping, his lips happy to have hers back on his. "I'm going to fuck like you've never been fucked before," he groaned. "I want to make sure you remember me." his teeth nipped at her bottom lip, thumb pressing gently on her clit and two fingers finally sliding inside of her.
Sylvia: Sylvia gasped when she felt his fingers enter her. She rocked her hips forward against him "Oh, you won't be forgetting me anytime soon" She spoke out to the man kissing him feverishly. Her lips moved against his almost as fast as her hand moved over his shaft. There was something different about this sexcapade with Jason. It wasnt slow and loving, but it was dangerous. They were parked at a NHL game. A popular NHL game where if anyone got close enough they'd be able to see exactly what was going on. "Fuck" She mumbled against his lips as she felt herself getting closer and closer to her climax. There was something about the way he was rubbing her clit that made her feel crazy "I'm going to cum" She mumbled against his lips between moans as she continued to pump her hand over his shaft.
Jason: He could feel her twitching around his fingers, his own muscles flexing as she tugged him closer and closer to the finish line. He wanted to spew out a whirl wind of filthy things, but her lips were saving him. "Cum for me," was all he could get out between the frantic kisses and clenching of his abs. Speeding up his thumb, he pumped in and out of her, curving his fingers towards him and feeling the textured spot that had always lead him to success. "I want you to cum on my fingers, baby," his voice was low and breathy, wondering how longer he could last.
Sylvia: Sylvia continued to frantically pump her hand down over his shaft begging for him to reach his climax as she did. Her walls started to clench around his fingers as the tips of them grazed her gspot over and over again. She squirmed slightly before she brought her lips from his to burry her head in his neck. Her moans got louder and louder but she used his shoulder and his shirt to muffle her almost scream like moans "Fuck!" She moaned out as she finally came, her walls clentching around him.
Jason: Jason didn't know if it was the friction of her hand on his cock or the way she was panting for him, squirming on his lap, and moaning into his neck that put him over the edge. But no sooner had he felt the tightness of her walls holding him there, did he find himself twitching and riding the building pressure inside of him to the very top. "Oh fuck," he cried, more warning her than anything. His eyes clenched tight and his teeth digging into his lip as the eruption of tingly nerves and adrenaline ripped through him.
Sylvia: Sylvia rode out her orgasm riding his hands slowly as she mmoved her hands over him making sure to allow him to ride out his orgasm. Feeling his cum over her hands she smirked in bliss. She kissed his neck slowly after allowing him to finish before grabbing her flannel shirt from the floorboard of his truck, wiping up her hand. She kissed him once more before looking in the back seat, pippa still asleep "Can we still make puck drop?" She asked with blushed cheeks.
Jason: Pulling out his fingers he looked her straight in the eye and popped them in his mouth and grinned. He watched her with is head flopped back and his jaw slacked, a hazy warmth running through his body and a sheen of sweat on his brow. Glancing at the mirror he noticed Pippa was still a sleep and snorted. "Not even a peep," he mumbled, then pulled Sylvia against his chest. Glancing at the clock he groaned and let his lips fall lazily on her neck. "Yeah," he croaked, "Just give me a minute," he said with a sigh, taking in the way her hair smelled and how warm she was against him. "That was so good. I can't remember the last time I came that hard," he mumbled against her neck.
Sylvia: Sylvia nuzzled her body into the mans when he pulled her close. This was another thing that was new for her. Most of the guys she slept with, would get up and leave right after they came, but Jason? Pulled her close "Good, I need a second too" She mumbled to him as she nuzzled her body into his closer. She enjoyed feeling his breath against her neck as she closed her eyes relaxing against him "This is nice." She said to him honestly. One hand rubbing his chest slowly in a circular motion. She smiled at his mumbling and chuckled "That makes two of us" she said looking up at the man
Jason: "It is," he croaked, trying to resist the urge to fall asleep with his arms around her. "I'm already looking forward to fucking you tonight." Jason chuckled and tickled his hand under her shirt. "What's the dirtiest thing you've ever done?" he asked lazily, eyes closed and heart rate finally beginning to slow down again. "Or the dirtiest thing you want to do. Anything. Just keep talking or I'm going to fall asleep."
Sylvia: "The dirtiest thing I've ever done?" She asked chuckling to herself before shaking her head "I've had sex in my back room at work, lots. like on top of the boxes of beer. It's so bad" She said blushing a deep red "What about you? What's the dirtiest thing you've ever done?" She asked tilting her head to look up at him "Should we go in to keep you from falling asleep?" She asked curiously "The quicker we go in, the quicker the nights over and we can keep this up"
Jason: "That's not bad," he shook his head and laughed. "Oh man, I guess it depends on what you consider dirty. My wife and I used to do it everywhere. Bathrooms at bars, alleyways, empty fields. We did a lot of anal too. I guess that's kind of dirty." he explained, opening his eyes to watch her expression. "Probably," just as the word left his mouth so did Pippa's cry.
Sylvia: Sylvia chuckled softly "I mean, Anal isnt that bad. I mean, If you were into pegging I'd say that's dirty, but anal? Nah." she said before looking behind them at Pippa "Shes ready to go " She said to jason before pecking his lips once more "Are you ready love?"
Jason: "Yeah I kind of agree. I let her use her finger once, but beyond that gives me the heebie geebies," he admitted, glancing back to make sure Pippa was okay. "Don't tell anyone that." Jason blushed and almost regretted his confession then let out a sigh. "Alright, let's go pop that NHL cherry," he kissed her again, the gave her a light tap on the ass before helping her over the centre dash.
Sylvia: Sylvia smiled " I mean, no judgement here friend" She teased before popping over to the passenger seat
Tatiana was a woman of patience. Of planning, and procedure. She marked recklessness down with idiocy, refusing to ever make a move uncalculated. Yet, 14 months had rolled by of her residency at Braddock, and though she had collected information of some use to her family, it was not ever enough. Following a rather heated phone call with her father, the young werewolf had decided perhaps, for once, a tinge of recklessness was needed. Just a little. She’d spent most of the past week driving by the sheriff’s station, watching the building in order to find a time where the place seemed its most quiet. Only after finding an adequate slot, amidst the early hours of the morning, did she plan her move.
This was what brought her there at so dark an hour, an air of confidence in her steps despite the slither of doubt she refused to recognise. Entering the building hadn’t acquired much problem, there were still people passing, the policeman at the desk too busy dealing with one of the town’s drunks to notice the figure that slipped down one of the corridors. It was the lock on the particular office door that proved her first problem - the years tucked into boarding school may have taught her the basics of Latin, a multitude of constellations and stars, but it was her time outside of the classroom that had allowed the girl to learn some true life lessons. Pulling a bobby pin from the neat bun in her hair, she prised the metal apart, adjusting it so it could be fitted efficiently into the lock. It took a few minutes of twisting, with shaking hands, but when the final click of the mechanism sounded, the woman quickly moved inside, slamming the door shut behind her. It took a second for her to catch her breath back, a rare grin forming on her face as she realised she’d done it.
The Sheriff’s Office. If she had timed herself correctly, she should have at least an hour to search through the files that lined the walls. However, she was yet to know that timing was not quite on her side. She’d only just began to search through the first cabinet, when the distinct scent of werewolf reached her. A scent which was getting slowly stronger. “Merde.” She muttered beneath her breath, searching around in wild panic for somewhere, anywhere, to hide. As foot steps neared the room, Tatiana made a rushed dive for the sheriff’s desk, grasping for a hoody that had rested by the office chair, in an unhopeful attempt to mask at least some of her scent whilst she hid beneath the desk’s surface. After that, all she could do was hold her breath, as she watched light enter the room from the corridor with wide eyes.
Leanne tried to google a recipe. She was too excited actually. She hadn't been with a guy in some sort of meeting in a while and now it was even Jason Wright, one of the cutest guys in town. Of course he wasn't Leanne's number one. That would always be Andrew but she hadn't seen him and her best friend in ages. Why not take an opportunity like this? She'd been a bit upset which never really happened but she was a bit bummed by that conversation with Chris before who didn't even knew her name anymore that something like the comment Jason made hurt. She'd gotten hotter, she'd heard that a lot lately but she didn't see it. She was still average little Leanne, happy with her life as it was. When she took a look into the fridge she was glad she had everything she needed already home so she quickly made her way upstairs to take a shower. She liked when her hair was washed freshly and it felt soft after she brushed it. Once she got out of the shower she died herself and her hair, getting out one of the tank tops and just a jeans to put it on. Taking a look into the mirror she smiled at herself, running her hand through her long blonde hair. She was satisfied with herself when she made her way upstairs to begin to crack some eggs to start cooking until he would arrive. Her parents weren't home, thank god. They would only pry and she would get annoyed at them. She was since she found out that she'd found out she was adopted, but she tried to brush those thoughts away when she finally heard the door and went to open it. "Hey. Come on in." she offered with a smile.
let me love you until you learn to love yourself | jamantha
Samantha felt worthless nowadays. She felt numb, actually. Liam was gone and taking Ana with him. He didn't want her anymore. She was worth nothing, no matter what Declan said to her. She looked out of the plane window and secretly hoped that the plane crashed before she landed in Vancouver so that she would never have to deal with all of this drama ever again. She sighed and licked her lips as the plane landed -- unfortunately, safely -- on Canadian ground, and she stood to get her bags. She went through the airport procedure, and she was escorted to the back by her security. Somehow, her fans were still screaming and waiting behind barricades for her to come out, and the marshal determined it to be unsafe for her to go out to the fans. Instead, she would tweet about it a bit later.
Once she got into her car, she looked at her phone and sighed, whimpering. It was a picture of her and Liam as her background, and she was surprised that this divorce hadn't killed her... Yet. She just shook her head at the thought, locked her phone, and slid it into her back pocket, looking out the window as Ne-Yo's new song 'Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself)' came on the radio. She looked down to her lap and had the hardest time not crying again. She shook her head, looking out the window. She gently sung the song to herself, wishing someone would do that for her.
She got to her hotel and smiled, looking up at it. Maybe if she threw herself into her work this time, she wouldn't have to think about it all, the depression, or anger management, or Ronnie, or Liam, or Jason, or Skylar, or anything. Maybe she'd be happy for a few days. That was what she needed, she needed happiness that she hadn't had in her for a while. She got out of the back of the black Escalade with help from her security guard, walking into the huge skyscraper hotel. Her black heels clicked on the pavement as she walked up the steps and into the building. It was very fancy inside, and best of all? She had the penthouse suite. Her paparazzi got her to the elevator, and went inside with her. He pressed the button for the thirteenth floor, and she waved at some fans who were gawking at her from outside of the elevator as the doors closed. Somehow, her fans still loved her.
Samantha didn't like heights, but she had to admit, she loved being up so high in this suite. Her security guard gave her a key card. She used it and went inside, waving goodbye to her security guard, who stood outside to keep her safe. At the end of the night, he would go into his own suite just down the hall. She threw her key card on the bedside table and turned the lights on, looking around her suite. "Home sweet home." She mumbled, a small smile on her face. She went into the kitchen and grabbed a Monster energy drink from the fridge, then went into her bedroom, where the lights were off. She pulled her shirt up as she turned the light on. Maybe a nice bubble bath would do Samantha some good. But as she turned from the light switch, she saw someone on her bed and shrieked. "Jason! What the fuck are you doing in here? You nearly gave me a heart attack!" She caught her breath.
I Get High With A Little Help From My Friends || Amy & Jason
Amy was by no means a social butterfly. She had a crude sense of humor, her mouth had no filter, and at time she had a bad attitude. It was just how she was and she wasn't about to change that for anybody. She mad no excuses for her behavior and while that didn't seem to get her many friends around here, it did seem to work for Jason. The guy had his own secret past which was interesting to Amy, but she never got too much into his business because she just wasn't a nosy girl. With all of their fault in mind, the pair seemed to have bonded instantly, so Amy had no problem with going over to roll one with him. She was sure a little weed wouldn't do much after whatever else he had been on. It might actually be better for him.
After pulling on black jeans, a loose band t-shirt, and her combat boots, pulling her long dark hair into pigtails, and doing her makeup, the petite girl reached into her hiding place and pulled out her stash, stuffing it in the bottom of her messenger bag before piling the other things she usually carried around with her on top and heading out with her phone in hand. Jason lived pretty far from her in some fancy penthouse, so Amy hopped in a cab and rode it over to what she liked to call 'the rich people part of town' - every city had one - and stepped out to pay the driver then tugged at her shirt as she mad her way up to his door and knocked loudly while biting back her usually screaming ' let me in' since this was a nice place and she didn't want to get kicked out of anything. After a heavy sigh, she leaned on the wall near the door and played games on her phone while she waited.
Don't Have To Work To Reel Me In || Jason and Stefan
While waiting for Jason to figure out how to send him a message with his address, Stefan got up to to and change his clothes. At first a simple white button up, then he thought how awkward it'd be if happened to get blood on it for whatever reason, and he'd possibly be seen with a bloody shirt. So instead he picked black and loosely tucked the shirt into a pair of dark blue jeans. Rolling up the sleeves, he then checked to make sure his hair was perfect as ever, because it was probably the one thing he cared about keeping in check, as the rest of him, in his opinion, was pretty perfect and without needing much daily care besides a shower, of course.
Leaving his borrowed apartment, he stepped out into the cool evening air and climbed into his car, hitting a bit of traffic on his way over, he took the time to let his mind buzz with what could be expected. Honestly, he didn't know. Jason seemed to intend to have him on a pool table which was new for him, having someone else talking about taking control over him. Would he even remember how to give over control? Maybe he'd slip easily back into it, however. Whatever, he wasn't going to worry too much. He found a parking spot not too far away from Jason and Chris's place and got out, heading up and knocking a few times.
