listen. LISTEN. it actually gets to me a little bit that da: i used the name trevelyan, bc it's probably my personal favourite unusual, mystical-sounding cornish surname, and i am a cornish person with an unusual cornish surname and an even more unusual, mystical-sounding cornish first name
probably lamorna is the most appropriate cornish first name i know to go with this surname, but i can't use that, bc it's my name
idk if this is just a Unique Name Person thing, but i'm so used to ppl being unfamiliar with my name that it actually unnerves me a little bit when anyone uses it, especially if they are a stranger
like, i'll hear someone talking about lamorna cove & be like wtf, who told you my name
it's SO much easier for ppl to identify me bc of my name being so unique, like if you see someone on social media whose name is lamorna crying about middle-aged women, you know that person is me
for someone who prefers to fade into anonymity this gets very uncomfortable
