she let out a sigh of relief, visibly becoming less tense knowing she was safe. for the time being at least. glancing back down at the body, eliza chewed her lip and looked away again quickly. “so you proved him wrong..” she murmured, brows furrowing. she didn’t know if it needed to go as far as death but she wasn’t about to argue. the girl looked back up at the other, hesitant to answer. “…eliza.”

But he held no hard feelings. “I am.” he soon called the bartender over, ordering her a glass of red wine and a top up for his own drink. “So you’re a bit of a traveller, huh?” meaning, New Orleans, now Mystic Falls, not that hard of an observation. 

“Hm, disappointing.” She smiled. She liked to be told off. She found it fun. “When you have an eternity, what else is there to do?” Isabela took the wine glass from the bartender and took a sip.
