Hall. My apologies, my radio isn't doing too well these days. I didn't mean to sound patronizing either, again my apologies. I was being completely sincere.
"Oh I have nothing in common with…with that.” In truth, he knew almost nothing other than he was crazy and stabbed him. He hadn’t wanted to know much else, it didn’t fit with his complaining.
He took an upset bite of the sandwich, and chewed the same way. Angry little bites that made him look like a pouty child. The mention of Roy surprised him out of it, the chews slowed down cautiously. It was odd to hear his name come from a human. It made him think what Roy himself would think of it. He wouldn’t like it.
"He’s…fine." He said vaguely.
"That's good to hear, I'm glad things are going well lately." He looked over at Ridley and smiled, a small sincere one and fiddled with the top of his soda can.
Roy was a radical, he knew that much. More of a radical than most of the Killjoys Biohazard knew. But he wasn't even in any position to criticize or say something against his or Ridleys cause or way of thinking. he wasn't in the same situation as them. It wasn't right.
"Thanks again for the food, you have no idea how amazing fresh bread is for me."

"I told him I liked his shirt." Ridley said, looking like it was the most horrifying thing he could possibly admit.
"Hes another Six, works for the city. And I was fairly sure could rip me in half without putting any strain on himself. Eventually I started insulting him, after a while death…didn’t seem worse than polite small talk." He shuddered, and took a bite of the sandwhich, a small one. He’d decided just to take a few bites and leave the rest for Bio, its not like he was that hungry anyways. Or had to eat at all.
Biohazard laughed as he finished his sandwich and crushed the can of soda in his hand. "It's strange that you and Red hadn't gotten along, you've got a lot of the same traits, you know." He got up to pop himself another soda out of the fresh six pack, allowing himself to indulge for the time being. It was grape soda, which was normally the bane of his existence, but it wasn't so bad right now.
Bio really enjoyed having company, he loved having the presence of his friends around him, it was energizing even when he was in the worst of moods. Ridley gave him a different kind of excitement though, he was definitely something else, and Bio appreciated his company every second he was around. "How's your friend doing, by the way? Roy, right?"
"Its not a trade. Its just so you don’t die, I need access to the parts." he said quickly. He needed to believe he wouldn’t trade to help save his peoples lives. Trade with humans for it. Or that he cared if he died for any other reason.
He kept making the sandwiches, and offered him one. He actually didnt mind turkey that much. He just preferred ham, and wanted his own way.
"Nothing. I did get trapped in a store with a ten foot Bot that was sickeningly polite."
Bio accepted the sandwich and took a big bite. Bread that wasn't stale felt like the biggest luxury sometimes. He was always grateful of Ridley for bringing him food, especially when he wasn't able to go into the city as often as he liked or didn't have the cash to spend on the foods he needed. Most of the time he stuck to dried meats and stale bread, some flat sodas he could often barter for, and the generic canned foods that were available in the desert.
"Hahahaha, how'd that go?" he laughed around the wad of food in his mouth. "Sounds like a nightmare for you!"
He decided mentioning the quota was something Roy was manipulating for his own means would be bad. Ridley had no care about it, really. Except for Bio, and Bug. And it upset him that that upset him. Roy would be disappointed in that.
"Well…now you have turkey. You should eat it soon, I sto…brought bread as well. If youd like." He moved back into the house, and decided he was hungry, he could make some sandwiches and he supposed if Bio wanted one as well he could have one that he made.
"Im sure I can find something to bring back."
Biohazard followed Ridley back into the house and into the small kitchen. "Good. I'd feel bad taking this food if I hadn't anything to give you in return." He grabbed himself the last cherry soda from the crate next to the fridge and popped it open for himself, placing the new six pack into the crate instead. "So, other than the incident with Red, anything new in your world?"
"I’ll go through it." He nodded. That was sort of his version of ‘thank you’. The awkwardness suddenly felt heavier. He HAD done a nice thing, he should be nice back. He was terrible at this. And worse at admitting he was, or should have to be.
"You seem…alive. Thats good. That you havent starved or been stabbed by a roaming psychotic. I’m not…totally against you being alive."
"Neither am I." Bio grinned. "Haven't been doing much lately, so it's not much of a struggle to keep myself breathing. I'm staying away from the city for a bit since I'd heard about a raid in the areas I frequent." It was sad to him since he had friends around where he liked to speak out, but it wasn't worth risking his safety and freedom to check up on them. The people in the ghetto were strong and could hold their own, he knew that well enough.
"Anything seem good in there?"

No no, not in it. Not at the moment at least. In Zone 2, which, depressingly, still has a good layer of smog over it from the city.
… Y’all call yer outskirts the Zones? I didn’t’ow people did that.
Ah, yes, it's just an easier way of figuring out someone's whereabouts really. Each zone is a certain distance from the city and most desert dwellers know where each zone is so it's just a handy thing.
"Of course it wasn’t my fault.” He crossed his arms and followed him to the ‘shiny’ thing. So many previous Bots had been re-purposed as satellites, or worse, just discarded. It upset him for more reasons than he understood. On the surface, it came out as Bot Rights rants. On a deeper level, he saw himself in them. Mixed in with the trash.
"And he wasn’t upset. If anything it was the only time he wasn’t upset. He’s crazy.” He got that awkward look again. Bio was one of the few people he didn’t actually insult on a personal level. If he knew the psycho…Worse, if it liked him…
Ridley shifted and cleared his throat.
"What kind of shiny things?"
"Aw, come on, you know I don't know squat about this stuff, Ridley!" He laughed and dug out a few things he knew might be useful. "I'm just the supplier, you and your group do what you like with it."

But the secret’a the city, any city, s’that the first step t’breakin’ free of that light bullshit is closin’ yer eyes. Refuse t’take in that shit, and ‘s a bitch ‘n a half t’do it, but s’always that first step that’s an ass. Ain’t nothin’ as hard after seein’through the bullshit fer th’first time.

"That one!!" He said in a sudden outburst of anger, pointing at Bio to accentuate his point.
“Thats the one that stabbed me! And ‘batshit’ isnt an excuse!” His hand immediately went to his side. Both unconsciously protecting himself and showing off that he had been injured. He could have blown up, Joey said so. Kind of.
"I was trying to get supplies to a Bot. He said he’d take me, I had to bribe the mad man, of course. And then he stabbed me. Worse he touched my wrist without asking.” He ran his free hand back through his hair, thoroughly angry again at it all.
Biohazard snorted a bit, trying to hide his laugh behind his hand. Of course it was Red, why would he have expected any different. His mind wandered to what his old friend was up to lately and let his heart ache for a second, they were always out of touch for lengths of time but Bio believed it made hearing from Red all the better.
"Very sorry about that all, Ridley. Red's got a temper on him, I'm sure it wasn't your fault really." He smiled sincerely and lead him to the new haul of junk laying around. "Saw quite a few shiny bits in there that might be worth something."
'Shiny bits' was about as far as Bio's technological knowledge went, he was utterly useless to Ridley except that he had a pretty constant flow of trash and spare parts around.
