So apparently it came out in a korean panel that kpop demon hunters’ soundtrack was partially made with AI. They specifically talked about soda pop but who knows, if they’re willing to use it for one song why not also for all? Yikes to that
As far as things I've seen it was only the one guy that used it and only for Soda Pop (tho he is credited on Your Idol as well)
Deeply DEEPLY disappointing obviously but personally I'm gonna keep enjoying the songs just make it very clear I don't want him or ai involved in anything in the future
From what I've seen the majority of the people behind the movie have been very anti ai who knows if they even knew he used ai in his work (if they did shame on them. If they didnt then don't work with him in the future)
Oooh that‘s actually an interesting take. That could be the case, that while the main team was anti AI some or someone decided to be sneaky about it. Imagine the anger of the creative team. Like you want your movie and its image to be AI clean and then there’s this guy openly promoting it.
Edit: because someone mentioned it here I went onto reddit and read the discussion and I feel like people forgot that AI is not only a thinking and creativity problem, but also existing through stolen material in the first place and with every prompt it wastes water and is in general bad for sustainability. We now see in real time how people are already desensitized towards AI and find excuses for it. Like „that would be so typical for jinu/the evil boy band etc“ or „it’s one thing to use it as inspo and the other let it write the song“. A made prompt is a made prompt. There’s no „wielding“ about it.
Apparently the original Korean article about this makes NO MENTION of AI use, but the English-translated version of the article from the same source, does. How was it translated? AI.
