I’ve written 56 fics this year, all FirstPrince, which equates to almost 1,000 words per day (not including drabbles and WIPs.) This fandom has been so open and supportive and I’m so grateful for the growth I’ve had as a writer and the friends I’ve made along the way, especially @emmalostinwonderland @cactusdragon517 and @jackzimmermemes. Y’all were my biggest support systems this year and I wouldn’t be the writer I am without you three.

Started off with one of my favorite fics I’ve ever written. this is the start of boudie-verse featuring trans Henry and boudoir photographer Alex. I am so proud of this fic and I have more plans for this ‘verse next year. Shout out to Hann for the beautiful fanart I finally added to the fic in the past few days.

March also resulted in my first ever collab with the lovely @cactusdragon517. This was such a fun experience and I would do it again any time.

My first intentional AU based off a lot of chatter in the brownstone and my first fic to really do numbers, which was so wild for me. I did not expect the reception on this one in the slightest and I was so thankful for it (and still am)

My first addition to the demi Alex Claremont-Diaz tag. I am very much a demi ACD truther and this was a super personal one for me. This is one of the fics I’m still most attached to, to this day.

Based on an idea from Ishita through the brownstone that they let me run with. I also consider this a bit of redemption for my first fic which was ALSO a dating app AU, but this one is definitely more well written and less messy overall.

The first of many times I’ve written a fic with the express purpose of cheering someone up. This little fluffy fic still makes my heart happy

This fic was a combo of me needing a brain break from the angsty stuff my brain was focusing on at the time and wanting to add more T4T firstprince to ao3, nothing more deep than that, really.

The reason I only had 3 fics in May is because I’m 98% sure I was hyperfocused on my Royally Big Bang fic at this point AND I was in Japan for two weeks. I DID a LOT of writing on Shinkansens and hotel rooms—my husband can attest.

Based on a rizcriz prompt; I really leaned into Henry’s anxieties in this one and I loved weaving the theme of growth through the fic. This one is definitely soft.

This is still one of my favorite fics, even all these months later. This was a prompt from Emma and I ran hard with it. June is one of my favorite characters in the book and i resonate a lot with her character and I really wanted to explore the relationships between her and her family while also exploring the “what if” of her and Alex having a falling out and how to reconnect. this and its companion piece in Alex’s POV (which I posted exactly a week later, I’m pretty sure) mean the world to me

Another conversation on the brownstone spawned a fic. (It’s a recurring theme). I tried to make this pretty light hearted for a fic involving a cancer diagnosis without making a joke of it. This is really more of a commentary on the media and how they treat celebrities, which, ick

I don’t remember what mood I was in when I decided to write Alex and Henry getting into a fight and making up later but I know I wanted to really focus on it being true to them rather than exaggerating it TOO much. I feel like this is more hopeful ending than happy ending because it isn’t truly resolved, but this is still one of my favorite angst offerings I’ve written yet.

This fic holds a special place in my heart because I’m just really proud of how I wrote it. I was also lucky enough to get the fic turned into a pod fic through a fic exchange and that really was a big moment for me as a writer—to hear my words read by someone else out loud. It makes my heart warm just thinking about it. This is based off art which is linked in the fic itself

I started July off with angst. So for those who DON’T know, being a therapist is my day job. I have touched on it in a few other blurbs but exploring relationship dynamics is my bread and butter, and I have some angsty head canons for Alex and family, pre-canon. This was one of them as discussed with Eli, Emma, and Chrissy.

This fic is a rewrite of my original concept for RBB, which I scrapped and then went with witsec. I loved this idea but I got intimidated by the idea of rewriting canon and telling the story about Alex and Nora instead. I sat on it and finally ended up with sad, single Alex way past divorce, and out and confident Henry and what their relationship would look like in that situation. I really love this one a lot.

Really went in on the pre-canon angst. I went with Ellen POV on this one, which was a challenge because I definitely have some strong feelings re: Ellen and her parenting and I think that comes through sometimes in my writing

This was for a brownstone event and I think this is the first fic I created my own moodboard for. Writing for other people is a huge kick in the butt for me to put out my best work and I’m proud of this one

My most popular fic to date and sometimes I’m like ??? in the most non complainy way possible. This was yet another cheer up fic (more of those coming up in the next few months) and it definitely shows off the non verbal communication Alex and Henry have.

Started July with angst, ended July with fluff. This is just a sweet fic of Alex getting to spend time with pals and Henry taking care of him after getting sloshed. The friends included in the fic are borrowed with permission

I am so proud of this fic and this story and i have more plans for this universe coming next year. I really loved taking canon elements but making it an AU and finding ways to fit things into this world. This story definitely has my whole heart

November
November was the month of Anywhere With You Fest. Three of the fics I’m gonna share were from that event. I volunteered as a pinch hitter twice and I’m so glad I did.

Ended November on a VERY personal note. This fic is a bit autobiographical, while still being solely about firstprince. I had been working on the fic on and off for a while before the inspo came to me to really dig into it. And then I ended up posting it on my dad’s birthday of all days, so this one hits SUPER close to home and the response has been so kind
