So I think I’ll be taking this blog to a primary today. It’s just too limited as a sideblog, and so far (despite its many flaws) Tumblr still seems to be the better networking tool for my art, since I actually seem to get feedback here. Will still be on Twitter (changed my URL to https://twitter.com/dreamnexusart on Twitter), Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/dreamnexusart/), and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/dreamnexusartbyamyla).
I’ll post a link to the new blog when it’s done!
I thought I'd post this link here as I've been getting back into a normal-ish art routine. I'm still getting things set up across the board, but if you like the art I post here, please consider supporting me on Patreon!

Did a red overlay on the piece last night to crank up the drama.
Going to work on some other projects today, but I'm happy with how this one is turning out! Will probably get back to Harry tomorrow if my current art fixation holds out.
Still a WIP; please no reblogs!
Today's progress on Harry. Starting in on the background!
Again, still a WIP; please no reblogs till it's done!
Did a bit more on the drawing! Done for the day, but still have lots to do.
Again, it's a WIP so I'd prefer no reblogs, but comments and likes are fine!
This blog, formerly Amyla's 3D Adventures, is now called The Dream Nexus. I'm going to be combining my 2D and 3D art blogs here into a single blog, hence the name change.
Here is my current 2D WIP, an illustration of Harry Dresden from Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files. This is just a crop, and still has a ways to go. I'm starting off with a tonal study, and I'll be adding color later. Working in Gimp for the time being until I can afford a monthly Photoshop subscription again.
Since this is a work in progress, I'd rather it not be reblogged, but commenting and liking is fine!
This blog might get meshed with my 2D art blog. Still thinking on it. Either way, I'm trying to get more active with the art these days; I'm not quite up to what I was at the beginning of 2020 before my brain borked, but I'm hoping to get there eventually.
Anyway, just a heads up! If I do this, I'll probably re-title the blog as The Dream Nexus, to match my current art branding.
Experimenting with recording my desktop while working. I'm working to get things going on Patreon, and one of the tier rewards I'll offer will be process videos with captions explaining what I'm doing and how I'm doing it.
No music or captions on this one yet, just the timelapse. Still trying to find a good, free video editor to use.
This is part one, in which I am texturing things and then blocking in poses and composition.
One of my first renders vs. my latest.
Harry Dresden and Karrin Murphy go looking for trouble in Undertown, and find it.
Rendered in Daz 3D, postwork in Gimp.
Still don’t know what to call this, so going with Cave of Secrets since that’s the name of the set. Created in Daz 3d, with postwork in Photoshop.
Updated version of Harry Dresden in his office. Rendered in Daz Studio; postwork in Photoshop.
Raw, unedited render. Created in Daz as a portfolio piece; will be doing postwork in Photoshop soon.
Harry Dresden ruminating in his office. Rendered in Daz; postwork in Photoshop.
Edit: Updated version here.
