Always the same question.. 😂
I think I reached a point where I was in school and learning all of this information that I planned to give back to my community, but I had to do it in ways that made sense for me and made sense for how I see the world and how I can get people to understand things. I think in a lot of ways visually… I was like, “I’ve never seen a black boy in glitter, or like I’ve never seen a space for a black boy to be feminine and just express femininity.” And it’s like definitely there. And I even talked about it to my friends that are black and straight, and they’re like, “Yeah, bro, I’m pretty. I think these things.” But they never feel like they have the space to truly live in it. And so now, I feel like, with my generation, we’re definitely combating like a lot of ideas.

“I never miss the moment they look in the mirror,” said Limos. “When they look in the mirror they either see an old version of themselves that they connect to and remember, or they see someone that they’ve never seen before and they’re excited to have this new identity.” Meet The Barber Giving Away Free Haircuts To The LGBT Community For The Best Reason (x)

SPACE GAY PINS!!!
It’s Saturday night, and I’m hanging out at home, listening to Fresh Air, and doodling queer haircuts.
If you’re queer and London based and in need of a haircut then I’d highly, highly recommend Open Barbers in Hackney. I’ve been going to them for my haircuts for nearly two years now and they’re just fantastic and so accommodating.
From their website: Open Barbers offer a personalised and warm haircutting experience with a queer and trans friendly attitude. We celebrate the diversity of human beings by offering haircuts that are free of gendered language, that promote people to be in control of their appearance, and that give people the chance to have a haircut that is more in line with their identity or preferred style. Anyone is welcome, including friends to come for a haircut or just hang out.
