LAW

1. Most important, not mutuals only but I am HIGHLY selective. I don’t have a lot of time so I’m ‘picky’ with who I wanna write with.

2. I am black, queer, and disabled. I explain this because the way I speak is a direct result of this. I reclaim Queer, n slur and c slur (cripple as some may not know this one). You may ask for these words to be tagged as /slur or for queer as /q word (queer is my identity so I will not be tagging is as q slur). I also use AAVE, if any dialects confuses you please feel free to ask! I am happy to explain :D. Any words I reclaim will only be in OOC. If I ramble (which I mainly do on my main anyways), and will never be used in a thread.

3. I do support ‘darker’ themes in writing. However they must be plotted before hand. I will tag as needed. I also will never roleplay rape, incest, pedophilia, or acts of bigotry against my oc or yours. Please do not message me for them or follow me if you roleplay these in thread.

4. This should be basic but no bigots, terfs or people who support the fetishization and ‘erotic’ art of rape, incest, and pedophilia. You will be blocked on sight.

5. My OC’s story includes a backstory of cult abuse. You are free to block if this makes you uncomfortable and are free to ask to tag it. I never treat this as a joke or a game. Cults are a very serious thing and it is treated as such.

6. Me and Claire are black. Anti-blackness is a huge part of Claire’s life and mine. So it will be discussed in her story and possibly in ooc. posts (again more on my main). Please don’t treat this as drama or any other type of ‘petty’ behavior.

Okay those are the important ones. Here’s juyst my preferences for rps.

1. I prefer to plot! But I’m good with just seeing where the ball rolls too. And I can write on tumblr or discord (dm for my discord!)

2. I like para style novel rps! However I can roll with any length.

3. I apologize but I can’t realllllly do fonts or tiny stuff. I have dyslexia so it makes it almost impossible to read! Please do not use it with me if possible, if your rules are written in fancy or tiny fonts I may misread them. If you notice a mistake in my understanding, let me know so I can correct it.

4. If we are mutual this is a strange request but if you could tag the world U— (the term for your father’s brother you would use). Please do. It is my only major trigger. It’s not a demand but it would be nice.

5. Lastly, I’m adding this rule cause it seems to be common now? But I don’t reblog callouts on Claire, I will not argue on Claire. I do not care for slap fights or petty bs. I am here to write. However if there are any serious concerns with bigotry or abuse with something in the rpc please direct them to my main @sweetpeawriter-tm.

It is...dreary.

That is what Claire thinks. Sitting again at the bedside of her other half. But- It was always dreary now. The moon seemed to always be covered by clouds and the sun would follow suit. Perhaps it was due to the falling temperature and the coldness of the wind. But Claire had a sick feeling of helplessness that never seemed to go away.

It wasn't supposed to be like this. It (as the Elders would be sure to remind her) Was all her fault. Even now, Alec's inability to waken, or to move. Was somehow her fault.

Not that the Elders knew he was alive anymore- or where Claire was. They assumed he had died. That Claire had vanished.

She supposed one was true, she prayed not the other.

Praying seemed almost useless now. It's not like The Great One has ever listened to her pleases before. But she had to try again, with a bow of her head. She whispers to the point of not being heard. Maybe if she speaks it only to herself, The Great One would have to bow with her, connect with her. To listen.

ELVES & THEIR DIET

There are a few things about elves that make other creatures (human and unhuman alike) scratch the their head. Their height for one, the average elf standing at 7-8 feet tall. Their eyes for two, often a bright light color and known for their peircing- uncomfortable gaze, and for three. Perhaps the most confusing part of the elven world. Their diet.

For example, what would one say their favorite snack is? A apple? A stick of cheese? Maybe a candy bar?

For your local Elven child. It is a rock. Preferably one near a pond that has been polished by their mother and given to them as they make their way to school. The rock will be sucked on by the child until all flavor and nutrients of the rock are gone. Then tossed behind them like one would the core of the previous mentioned apple.

Elves, earth elves for that matter. Are part of the earth. Made from the Goddess via mud, a tear, and a flower. They are as much dirt as they are blood. As much wood as they are flesh. Because of this the elven diet is very plant and nature based. Things such as bark on the tree will be peeled away to be put in tea or coffee like one would a stick of cinnamon. Various leaves are used as toppings on dishes or soups. Dirt itself is even used as a sorta of seasoning in many traditional elven dishes.

Despite this odd cultural way of eating. Elven food is known for it’s rich taste and heartiness. Switching out dishes based off season, weather, and just how a elf is feeling. One may make a fresh summer salad on day, drizzled with sweet honey and topped with strawberries. The next day it will be a thick bread topped with sliced apple, goat cheese, and thin slices of ham, served with a tall glass of tea and mint.

These days the more…Natural parts of the elven diet are side dishes, or snacks and treats. Long gone are the days where elves needed to survive eating tree branches and grass (“Akin to a goat!” The older ones in the village would say with the slap of the knee). However they remain a huge part of Elven culture and are dearly loved by the village.

Tourist however (if there ever would be one.) not so much.

CLAIRE’S TALE {META}

Mun Note: I figured I should give a general overview of Claire’s life and where she is now so people can better understand her character. I think I’ve finally gotten it down to the year how her childhood goes. But I may edit this in the future based off what I learn about Claire, cult abuse, and other things relating to this blog in general!

Born to Lyra and Charles Malon, Claire Malon was birthed under a starry night. To a mother who not only was alone, but had been alone for the past 5 months. As soon as she started showing she was with a child.

The next day the Elders had done something very rare. They had made a personal visit to a elf’s home. All three of them. One could occur during a Return to Nature (Funeral), or during a wedding. Two maybe if there is a severe dispute or some sort of violence. But three? Practically unheard of.

After that there were whispers, rumors. That Lyra had a child with him, the outsider. The one who is now just a memory. It was also rumored some families knew the truth, and hid it. Yet that’s how it stayed for three years. Rumors.

It wasn’t until she was three years old, when all three elders visited again. That she, and her mother were approved to go back into the general village society. For Claire although a late bloomer, had finally developed her ears and elven hearing. Assuring the Elders, at least slightly, she wasn’t totally like her father. Maybe she had a chance. Low as it may be.

That is how Claire grew. A oddity. Someone who was welcomed yet feared. Who was of use, but could be thrown away at any moment. She ignored this, she loved her village more then she loved herself. But deep down. She knew, her mother knew, and her father had known the truth.

That the moment something went wrong, the Elders and with them the villagers, would turn.

That moment came when Claire was 18. Already longing to leave her village and see the world. Things had shifted, rumors of something festering and growing in the forest near her home had risen. Something long forgotten by everyone yet those who hid it.

Magic.

This shift is what destroyed Claire’s world. With cracks and crumbling pieces, spattered blood and gore on cement. For being too close, too close to what was already feared.

One down, one to go.

Claire could not see her mother like that. Like him.

Because of that, Claire ran. In the night as the smoke filled the sky. The smoke she spent her entire life pretending never existed. She packed her things, without even a note, and vanished. Breaking the one rule no one in the cult has broken before.

She left.

The Elders are not ones to be tricked, fooled, deceived. Someone getting away? Someone who knew much much more then she should? Someone who could bring back monsters?

NEVER.

Claire and the Elders both know the same thing. One has to die for the other to live in peace.

So Claire never stops running, moving, hiding. She watches and waits for the cover of night. Something the Elders fear. To stay out of their way. For even Elders have connections to the outside world she was previously unaware of.

But she’s learning. She’s determined to learn enough. To eventually go back home, save her mother, and make things right.

META: ELVEN ANATOMY

What are the elves of Orda anyways....like what are they really?

Most people outside of their village would call them earth elves (if they knew of their existence), as each elf was usually align with a element. Fire elves, water elves, air elves, and finally earth elves.

To properly explain the complex anatomy that is a 'ordian' elf we will start from the top to the bottom and then move inwards to the organs themself. As elves differ not only in their outward appearance but also in their inward appearance, function, and abilities.

to start off with it is to be noted that Ordian elves are not the only earth elves out there. They are a select few that have been hidden away due to the fear and intolerance of the outside world. Most of them range from a very fair skintone that almost burns in the sun, to a almost olive tone that stands out in the sunset. Their eyes range from blue. grey, and green variety. Most elves alive have almost never seen brown or particularly dark eyes. Their hair is often blonde or brown in color, with a few sporting a almost white look to them.

Their height however is one to behold, the average elf can range anywhere from 6-9 feet tall! Any elf below 6'2 is very rare indeed. They often because of this only wear flat shoes as heels are a bit of a useless concept to them.

Another thing that makes the elves stand out from your average human is their ears. Their ears are around the size of a average human's hand, they tend to perk and fall with the change of a elves moods. At night, some elves will even learn to use their ears are a sleeping mask, one ear covering one eye each. Because of this ear's largeness they are also not only very good at hearing these but very sensitive to noises. Often you can see a elven child who has not gotten used to their hearing yet have their ears curl in on themselves as they tried to shield away the loud noises.

This leads us to the eyes, often wide and compared to that of a owls. They are slightly, just slightly reflective. As elves hold the ability to see in the dark, although in this darkness they are completely colorblind. Instead seeing in odd tones of white, grey, and of course, green.

Going down and down to the digestive system we see their stomach acid is much stronger then a human being's or even that of other magical creatures, this gives them the ability to ingest things that are culturally important to them like wood, rocks, leaves, and foods that the average person would consider poisonous.

This special framework of design has led the elves to be able to be quite self-sufficient, and as their blood grows stronger with every passing moon so thus their ability to stay alive...Maybe this generation will reach the long awaited stage of elderhood.

Maybe this time it will be different.

LEAD AS ONE; THE ELDERS {META}

Orda, the little town tucked away deep in the woods. A little clearing one wouldn’t be able to find unless by accident. it is not alone in it’s little squabbles. Too loud a rooster waking everyone up before the sun has risen (a scary time), a neighbor claims the other stole their rake. If we want to get really spicy, sometimes there’s a couple who wants a divorce. These little squabbles must go through a impartial third party to be handled- that is where the Elders come in.

You will never see one without the other two. Fanning out width wise across the brown pavement when they stride down the street. They are the tallest of the elves, standing at a impressive 9′5 feet tall. They all look similar in appearance to one another. Frighteningly pale skin, light blue eyes that are almost clear and white hair that is slicked down their backs or put into a ponytail. They wear long light blue cloaks that almost seem to glide just above the ground, the cloaks have a white stripe circling the edges of it. “The only three in existence.” the villagers whisper.

No one else in the village is allowed to wear the same shade of blue. Less they try to impersonate the Elders (if that was possible).

The Elders handled any and all problems that seemed to bother the villagers. Sorting out disputes, helping plan events,  and take part in all weddings, funerals, and baby welcoming.

(Only one time did they need to intervene, and only once did they say no to a wedding).

They are the leaders of Orda, their protectors, their priests, their SAVIORS.

Blue eyes blink up at the night sky. The stars fading behind thick black smoke filling the air. Breath is held still as they wait. The knowledge weighs down on them like a stone on their chest. Crushing their lungs and daring to almost collapse.

Like a black hole the smoke sucks away all light from the stars, and moons, and the behind the eyes of the youth.

They wait, watching the flames climb higher and higher.

Hands clasp in prayer. they call for their saviors.

And there is no response.
