Red sky at night, shepherd's delight goes the old saying but maybe it should be photographer's delight.

The phenomenon occurs when the longer wavelength of red light passes through dust and particles held in the atmosphere more easily than shorter wavelength blue which gets scattered.

It's a sign of a good day to come.

What do you think are the pros and cons of living in Ireland?

I'm possibly going to be traveling to Ireland soon and I was wondering if there are any dos and donts that you may have for me. Like, social ettique, what is considered rude there, etc. also, are the Irish relatively friendly and chatty? Meaning, can I just randomly strike up a conversation or would I be considered strange?

Irish people can be friendly in general! It would definitely not be seen as strange to strike up a conversation. As for social etiquette you would use the same etiquette as anywhere else and you would be fine!

Hello there, im interested in coming to ireland in the summer and try to hitchhike through the island, since we're a young students couple, guess theres no more to explain. Do you think its possible to take that way?

First of all sorry we were so slow to reply to this query. Hitch hiking isn't as popular as it used to be. 20/30 years ago people "thumbing a lift" would be common enough but not so much any more. It still might be possible to get around in this way but not many people do it anymore. Maybe you made it over this summer. I hope you had a great time

‘Once Upon a Time’

Came across this old abandoned cottage whilst hiking in the Mourne Mountains, County Down, Northern Ireland, at sunset. A set of old hitching rails and a ‘Fairy Thorn’ sit outside it. The cottage was used recently for filming in Game of Thrones Series 7.
