A/N : it has been a minute Ik and Ik this isnât video game stuff buttttttt this was what I was in the mood for
WARNINGS : reader has an abusive bf (bellamy handles it)
Being part of the 100 that was sent to the ground at first made you believe it was the worst mistake of your life. The reason you were even on the damn ship to begin with was because you stole medical supplies in order to help your father. Your father ended up dying anyways and because of this, you were sent to the ground.
You were the youngest doctor there and practically the smartest. So the council was sad to hear about your âdeparture.â You were also already eighteen and shouldâve been sentenced to death but they tried to push it back because of how great of a doctor you actually were. Being a good doctor mattered more than your crime to the council.
You tried to look at the positive side all the time but now you were on the ground with god knows what and surrounded by idiots that worshipped Bellamy Blake.
Before being on the ground, you had an interaction with Bellamy. It was the night of your eighteenth birthday and at the time, Bellamy was a guard at your birthday party.
To be honest, everyone loved you. You were the best doctor with also having the kindest aura a person could have. So of course, the council helped celebrate you.
Unfortunately it wasnât the best birthday for you. You were constantly getting into arguments with your boyfriend Luke at the time and it was making you feel down.
Luke was a pretty boy but that didnât mean he wasnât deadly. His threats became more and he actually started hitting you as a result.
You just wanted to be loved. Your dad was dying from something you couldnât solve and Raven, your best friend, was always around her boyfriend Finn who you couldnât stand so you felt like you had no choice. You had to give in.
âWhat is all this? I donât want to be here.â Luke complained.
âI didnât expect them to do all this. Iâm sorry. How about we just grab some cake and then leave?â You tried with him.
Luke wasnât trying to hear that. He grabbed your arm roughly and brought you into his chest. You let out a sharp gasp at the pain. âI donât care if this is your birthday. Weâre not just going to do what you want to do.â
You tried to pull away from him but you werenât strong enough. âLuke, stop. Youâre hurting me.â
âEveryone is always celebrating you and your accomplishments. Iâm sick of it.â
What you didnât know was Bellamy was watching the whole thing from afar. Growing up with a mother and raising his little sister, he couldnât imagine a man doing what he was doing right now.
He couldnât mind his business on something like that.
Still, he was cautious. He walked over to the two of you, steadily. âEverything alright?â
The question immediately brought Luke out of it. Especially at the amount of authority in Bellamyâs voice. He looked over and was already intimidated. Not only was Bellamy taller than him but he was bigger than him and he had a gun at his waist.
Still, Luke tried to play strong. âStay out of it. This is my girlfriend. Not yours.â
You were worried knowing your boyfriendâs temper. Bellamy didnât show much of a reaction. He looked between you and him before responding. âMe personally, I wouldnât treat my girlfriend like that.â
It insulted him. Luke started to walk towards him while you grabbed onto his arm, begging him to stop. âYou want to go? Iâm not scared of you.â
Bellamy, again, showed no reaction. He looked at you. You were pleading for him to not cause a scene. He couldnât understand how you could care about him so much. Especially after what he just witnessed. He looked back at Luke, more so a warning. âGet the hell out of my face. Trust me, Iâm not in the mood today.â
Again, his voice was strong. Lukeâs wasnât. Luke just pulled himself out of your arms and walked away. You sighed, not even bothering to follow him.
You mumbled a quick, âIâm sorryâ and felt at the wrist he was hurting.
Bellamy didnât acknowledge the sorry as you had nothing to be sorry for. He gently grabbed your wrist and looked at it to see the damage. Either you were fragile or Luke was strong because there was already a bruise starting to form.
You felt Bellamyâs fingertips rub gently at your skin as a way to massage the hurt area. You didnât know what to think. No man besides your father had showed you this much kindness before.
âYou need to break up with him.â Bellamy told you bluntly.
You sort of knew Bellamy growing up but never had a one on one interaction. You also knew he was the type to say what was on his mind which was the reason why you were scared for your boyfriend. Bellamy always meant what he said and didnât ever play about it.
The truth was youâve been wanting to break up with Luke but you were scared, terrified how he would react. âItâs not that simple.â
âYou donât have to worry about him.â
The way Bellamy said it, it felt real. Like he would take care of it but you didnât want to drag him into your world.
You took your wrist away from him and shook your head. âYou have enough on your plate. You shouldnât get involved.â
When you mentioned that, he was curious on what you meant. You were the only doctor that knew his mother had a second child. He figured it out. âYou know about O?â
You nodded. âYour mom needed help and my dad and I are the only ones thatâs willing to help someone and take a risk like that. Tell her I said hi.â
You went to walk away but Bellamy grabbed your wrist, the one that wasnât damaged and made you stop in your tracks. âWhy did it take you this long to say it?â
Again, you had known Bellamy for years but the two of you were never close. Just a mutual understanding of oneâs existence. âBecause I donât need any credit for what I did.â You told him truthfully. âNow, if youâll excuse me, I want to go eat cake.â
Bellamy stared at you like it was his first time ever seeing you. He knew about how good of a heart you had but he never knew it extended to this.
He slowly let your arm go and you walked away. He made it his mission now to help you in any way he could.
You werenât really surprised at how Bellamy was acting as he had always been a little bit of an asshole but you were wondering why he was so keen on trying to take all the wristbands.
You were in your tent, writing down your bucket list. It was all the things you wanted to do since you landed on the ground. A lot of them were small, stupid things but the other ones meant something to you.
You heard the tent open and you knew it was only one person that would disrespect your privacy like that without a care. âNice to see you too, Bellamy.â You said without even looking at him.
Bellamy ignored you. âYou fixed Jasper.â He stated bluntly.
âIâm aware of what Iâve done.â
Ever since that night, you and Bellamy have always had a back and forth dialogue and he was the only one you would do it with.
âThat means we need you. Unfortunately.â You rolled your eyes at the last part but let him continue speaking. âBut youâre one of the only people that havenât taken the stupid wristband off.â
You chuckled. You shouldâve known Bellamy was going to press you about it eventually. âWhat are you going to do? Jump me like you did to Wells?â
He didnât like that statement. The two of you were far from best friends but he would never hurt you like that. He saw you were writing on your bed and he snatched the paper from you. âHey!â
Bellamy started to read your list out loud. âNumber 1, learn how to swim. Number 2, do something dangerous. Number 3, get a boyfriend?â He couldnât help but laugh at the last one and you snatched your list from him.
âOr girlfriend. Iâm still deciding.â
âYeah, the grounders seem real romantic.â Bellamy said sarcastically.
You shrugged and went back to writing. âYou never know. You read the story of Beauty and the Beast. And no. Iâm not taking the wristband off.â
âWhy?â Bellamy questioned. âItâs not like you have people up there waiting to see if youâre still alive.â
Even though your father was dead, you still had Raven so the statement wasnât true. âTell me why you want us all to take it off and Iâll think about it. And donât go on about how we can do whatever the hell we want because I know you got fired as a guard and I know youâre not supposed to have a gun so you obviously did something that you werenât supposed to in order to get on the ship which I presume you got on because of your sister.â When you saw his expression, you smirked. âDid I hit it right on the nose?â
Bellamy wasnât going to tell you. He trusted you to keep a secret, yes but he didnât want you to judge him. You were the only person left that didnât see him the way everyone else saw him and he wanted to keep it that way. âNot happening.â
You shook your head at him but werenât really surprised he didnât tell you. âFine. Then I want number 77.â You said, handing him the list.
Bellamy took your list and looked at it for a moment. Then his eyes widened. âGo on a romantic date?â
âI need to prep how to be on a real date eventually and unfortunately you are the only candidate that I wonât end up vomiting with.â
Bellamy stared at the piece of paper before looking back up at you. âWhat? Luke never took you out on a date?â
You snatched the paper at the mention of Luke before turning around to place it on your desk. âYou know he didnât.â
It wasnât the worst thing. Bellamy did already like you as a person as sassy as you were. He figured it wouldnât be that bad being around you for one night. âFine.â
You were surprised how fast he agreed. âReally?â
âBe ready when it gets dark.â Is all he says before walking out. You shook your head and looked back at your list.
You were really going on a date with Bellamy Blake.
It was night time but before you went to go on your date, you decided to check on Jasper. At first people didnât like the fact you saved Jasper but after he started to heal and not scream in pain, they seemed okay with it.
Jasper was lying down in the drop ship sleeping. You bent down to his level and touched his forehead to make sure it wasnât hot. It was still at its cool temperature.
He started to stir out of his sleep and when he did, he look up at you smiling. âHey, doc.â
You smiled back down to him. Jasper was always funny to you and brought an energy that made you feel safe. âFeel any better?â
âMuch better. Just tired.â
âThatâs expected. Try to get as much sleep as you can.â
âDonât got to tell me twice.â Jasper looked behind you to see Bellamy standing there. âHey. What are you doing here?â
You turned around to see Bellamy and he actually looked good, despite being on the ground. He wore a black leather jacket with a dark blue shirt that hugged on the muscles on his chest. His jeans were black and his hair was more curly than usual. Like he had actually tried to do something to it.
Did he actually try for you?
âI need to talk to you.â Bellamy said to him. He walked in further then saw what you were wearing. A short sleeve blue top with black leggings and black sneakers that surprisingly werenât all dirty from being on the ground. He stared at you for a moment. You almost thought he was checking you out until he spoke. âItâs cold.â
You shrugged your shoulders at his statement. âI donât have a jacket.â
Without another word, Bellamy took his jacket off and placed it on top of your shoulders for you to wear. You grabbed it so it wouldnât fall. âGet out. I need to talk to Jasper. Wait by the gate for me.â
Bellamy always did have a problem with the way he said things and it made you roll your eyes. âDonât bother my patient, Blake.â
âWouldnât dream of it, princess.â
The nickname always did irritate you mainly because you never thought of yourself as acting like a princess.
Nevertheless, you stepped off the drop ship and proceeded to wait for him by the gate.
It took about five minutes for Bellamy to come to you. You were confused. What would make Bellamy decide to suddenly have a conversation with Jasper? âWhat did you two talk about?â
âThe story of the brave princess who couldnât mind her business.â Bellamy stated while hurriedly putting something in his pocket.
Your eyes darted to the pocket and you wanted to question him further but realized you werenât going to get anywhere with it.
Wells walked up to the two of you. A little bit judgmental. âHey. Where you two going?â
âOn a date.â Bellamy said bluntly which made you hit him in his chest. You didnât want people to know you were going out with him but he didnât seem to care.
âTell your girlfriend to hold down the fort while Iâm gone.â Bellamy said, speaking of Clarke before opening the gate. He took your hand and made you follow him outside.
The two of you had been walking in silence for at least three minutes. You noticed that Bellamy was still holding your hand. âYouâre still holding my hand.â
Bellamy didnât seem to care. âThatâs what people do when they go on a date.â
âOh.â Silence came about again and Bellamy still took your hand in the direction, walking. âWhere are we going?â
âDonât be a smartass.â
Bellamy chuckled. He stopped in his tracks. He lets go of your hand and goes to the thing in the ground. He opens the door and there itâs a place for you two to go in. Your eyes widen at this discovery.
You curiously took steps towards the place. Then looked down inside cautiously.
Bellamy looked slightly annoyed. âYou look like you donât trust me?â
âThe guy that wants to take my wristband so bad? Yeah. A little sketchy.â
You placed yourself on the ladder and climbed down to the entrance. There you saw a whole set up. There was a couch with torches as lighting. There were snacks on the table and the atmosphere just felt right for a strange place.
Bellamy followed after you, shutting the door behind him. Once he was in, he looked at you to see your reaction but your face was unrecognizable. âWhat?â
âAll this for a wristband?â
âYup.â He said but something about the way he said it made you think otherwise.
He sat down on the couch and you followed him. You never been this close to Bellamy before and the way he smelled was both manly and enticing.
Bellamy grabbed a bag of chips and started to open them when he noticed your facial expression. âWhy are you looking at me like that?â
You didnât want to tell him you actually thought him trying was romantic so instead you change subjects. âAre you really not gonna tell me why you want the wristbands so much?â
His face falters and he ends up rolling his eyes with chips in his mouth. âAre you still on that?â
You grabbed the chips out of the bag and ate them yourself. âWhat did you do thatâs making you do all of this? Whatâs so bad? I mean I know weâre not best friends but Iâd thought that after you found out I knew about Octavia that you would trust me just a little bit.â
âI do trust you.â He said a little too fast.
You looked confused. âThen what is it?â Silence emptied the room and it was then you realized why he wouldnât tell you. âYou donât want me to think of you differently do you?â Still silence and it only confirmed what was an inside presumption to an outside fact.
You continued to eat the chips. You didnât want to press further and ruin the night.
âSo why did you want me to take you out?â Bellamy asked.
âI already told you.â
âNo, you told me some bullshit youâd thought Iâd believe. Come on. Thereâs plenty of charming guys in there. Thereâs Murphy-â
âImmediately stop right there before I kill myself.â You said and it made him laugh. The truth was that you just respected Bellamy, despite him being an ass sometimes and you trusted him more than anyone to take you out. âWhy did you agree? It canât just be because of a wristband.â
âAny guy would.â Bellamy said truthfully before taking the chips out of your hand and eating some.
With that, you raised an eyebrow. âWhat do you mean?â
âYou know how many men you disappointed on The Ark when they found out you were dating Luke?â
There was no way men actually wanted to be with you other than Luke. You couldnât believe it. âYouâre lying.â
âIâm not. Unfortunately.â
You held back your eye roll at the end and grabbed the chip that was in his hand. âWhy didnât guys come up to me then?â
Bellamy grabbed his chip back and ate it before continuing. âYouâre the youngest doctor on The Ark with an IQ surpassing all the adults. They were intimidated. Most men donât like dating women that are better than them.â
It made you feel better about yourself but also in a way upset. You put up with Luke for a long time just for other men to be attracted to you? âWhat about you? You seem to be one of those men.â You said cocky.
Bellamy chuckled, smiling. âYouâre pretty. Thatâs all you got.â He grabbed the water bottle on the table and drunk some it before responding. âI could never date you. Youâd make me pull my hair out.â
You nodded at his over dramatics. âYou do have pretty hair.â
Bellamy kept his smile on his face. âRemind me why you settled for Luke again?â
You sighed at the mention of his name. âCan we not?â
âAt least tell me he stayed away from you.â
âActually. Yeah. It was weird. Right after my party he had came to me and hurriedly dumped me. Didnât say why but did. It was like he was scared. I donât know. It was probably his mom that made him.â
Bellamy nodded at what you said feeling content. âGood.â He reached in his pocket and pulled out the item you were eyeing at earlier.
He set it on the table and pressed a button. It was an MP3 player. A song started to play.
I was praying that you and me might end up together
Bellamy stood up and held out his hand. You looked at the table and put together that it was Jaspers and thatâs why he wanted to talk to him.
You then looked at his hand that was held out. âWhat are you doing?â
It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert
But I'm holding you closer than most cause you are my heaven
âAsking you to dance.â You still didnât move but Bellamy wasnât backing down. âYou know most women would jump at the opportunity.â
You ignored his cockiness because well, you started to get nervous. âI donât know how to dance.â
I don't wanna waste the weekend
If you don't love me pretend
A few more hours then it's time to go
Bellamy took your hand and forced you to stand on your feet. He brought you to the center of the room so the two of you would have more room. âItâs not hard.â
You scoffed. âEasy for you to say. You took every girl on The Ark to some dance.â You said bitterly.
Bellamy laughed at this. He started to sway at the music and you tried to follow his lead the best you could. âSomeoneâs bitter. Did you want me to take you out?â
As my train rolls down the east coast I wonder how you keep warm
Bellamy spun you around and held you close to his chest, your back facing him. His left hand was on your waist while his right arm hugged you.
Despite the temperature outside, Bellamy felt warm and safe. His lips go to your ear and he whispered, âIs that why you didnât want to dance with me? Am I making you nervous?â
And still I can't let you be
âIâm not nervous.â You tried to state bold but the truth was, you were.
Most nights I hardly sleep
âI can feel your heart racing right now. Donât tell me you really wanted me to take you because you like me.â
Don't take what you don't need from me
He spun you back around to where you were facing him. âBellamy, may I remind you we are out here alone with no witnesses? Donât piss me off.â
Bellamy snickered at what you said but didnât miss a beat dancing with you. You were usually used to his annoyingly way to try and charm you but tonight it was really getting to you.
I was praying that you and me might end up together
Bellamy felt you about to fall and he immediately caught you. The two of you laughed a little and to prevent you from falling, he brought you closer in his arms. You two were practically chest to chest.
It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert
But I'm holding you closer than most cause you are my heaven
Usually Bellamy wouldnât get so bothered. He was used to it. The back and forth between the two of you. Him even slightly teasing you from time to time but tonight was different.
He was trying to convince himself that the reason he agreed to this was all for the wristband but the truth was, Bellamy was just like those men on The Ark. He found you beautiful, intriguing and a breath of fresh air but the reason he never approached you wasnât because of intimidation. It was because he didnât think he deserved someone as great as you.
Misplaced trust and old friends
By the grace of God I do not rest at all
The room was silent and he was glad it was. He could appreciate all your features and look in your eyes with love without judgment.
There hadnât been more of a time he wanted to kiss you so bad. He wanted to grab you by the hips and lay the sloppiest, most passionate kiss on your lips. He wanted to lay you on the couch and make you feel good. Better than what Luke ever made you feel.
But he couldnât. He had to remind himself that he was a horrible person. That he couldnât get past the thing that he did and you would never forgive him for it once you found out. How he got on the ground in the first place.
New England as the leaves change
The last excuse that I'll claim
I was a boy who loved a woman like a little girl
The way Bellamy looked at you looked like he loved you from the very beginning and you couldnât handle it. You looked away from him and pulled a little bit away from him so you werenât so close.
And still I can't let you be
Bellamy gently took your chin and forced you to look back him, not stopping to dance with you. âDonât do that.â
It practically made your heart stop with how much authority he had in his voice. âIâm starting to get why youâve had so many girlfriends.â You bluntly said.
Most nights I hardly sleep
He laughed at the statement and pulled you back close to his embrace. âI didnât have that many girlfriends.â
âRight. Just that every girl on The Ark wanted you.â
Don't take what you don't need from me
âIâd rather not talk about other women.â He said sincerely.
I was praying that you and me might end up together
You couldnât wrap your head around any of this. Suddenly Bellamy Blake was the biggest romantic with you? It just didnât seem real.
He was handsome and he did have a charming personality. Despite him sometimes being an ass, you knew he was raised as a gentleman and that part of him enticed you.
You just didnât know if a girl like you and a guy like Bellamy Blake would work.
It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert
But I'm holding you closer than most cause you are my
Heaven doesn't seem far away anymore
Heaven doesn't seem far away
Heaven doesn't seem far away anymore
Heaven doesn't seem far away
I was praying that you and me might end up together
It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert
But I'm holding you closer than most cause you are my heaven
Bellamy dipped you at the ending, still looking in your eyes. Time had felt like it had stopped. Youâd thought that after the dance the feeling would go away but it didnât.
He still looked at you like he had loved you forever and it terrified you.
He slowly brought you up to your feet, still holding you. Your foreheads were pressed against each other and the two of you just stood there, being in oneâs embrace.
You realized the feeling and came up with the conclusion that you shouldnât feel this way. He was Bellamy Blake. Not that you thought he was a bad person but he was the one person in the world that stuck beside you no questions asked and you couldnât ruin it over the feelings you were feeling.
âItâs getting really dark. We should get going.â You said pulling away from him.
Bellamy fought the urge to pull you back and kiss you. He wanted to be selfish with you. Just this once.
But he fought against it.
Youâd thought the walk back would be awkward but it wasnât. It was like after tonight the two of you understood each other more.
Bellamy forced (not really forced) holding your hand as he guided you back to the camp. The air felt more at peace believe it or not.
Murphy saw the two of you and opened the gates for you. âWelcome back, love birds.â Bellamy gave Murphy a warning glare and it was enough for him to put his hands up in defense.
âWhereâs my sister?â Bellamy asked, still not breaking from holding your hand.
âIn the drop ship with Jasper.â
He nodded and walked in the camp. He walked you all the way to your tent where you went inside and pulled away from him. âDid you have fun?â
The question made you smile. âI did. Surprisingly.â
âDonât be so so surprised. You know Iâm fun.â
âSure.â You teased. You took the jacket off of you. Then tried to hand it to him. âHere.â
Bellamy shook his head. âKeep it. You can wear it for the next guy you drag on a date.â You rolled your eyes playfully at him. âBe honest. Why did you want me to take you out on a date.â
After tonight, you felt you owed him some honesty. âBecause I wanted my first ever date to live up to my expectations unlike my first ever boyfriend. I knew you would live up to those expectations.â
You saw the surprise look on Bellamyâs face but he quickly nodded to mask it. âOkay. Goodnight.â
He turned to walk away. You looked at the wristband and then back at him. âArenât you forgetting something?â
Bellamy turned back to you. Then took some steps to you smirking. âWhat? You want to end it with a kiss?â
You ignored the statement and just showed your wrist off. âThe wristband?â
Bellamy looked at your wristband and it clicked. He completely forgot about it. The whole reason he did this in the first place.
He took out his knife and gently grabbed your hand. He then tried his best not to hurt you getting the wristband off.
Once he finally unlatched it, he placed the knife and wristband back in his pocket.
The two of you looked back at each other in the eyes. He really forgot about the wristband? That alone made you want to kiss him.
âGoodnight, princess.â He said to you before walking out your tent.
If it was one thing Bellamy couldnât stand for it was abuse towards women. It was obvious Luke was doing something to you.
And he didnât think he could keep it together.
Scratch that, he wouldnât keep it together.
Bellamy was known for sticking his nose in business that wasnât his when it came to unfairness and loyalty and well, you had showed him both that.
You protected his family so he had to protect you in some way.
With Bellamy being a guard, it was easy for him to find out where exactly Luke stayed and when he did, he waited for Luke to come.
Bellamy sat on his bed, reading one of the books he read to Octavia when she was younger when he finally heard the bedroom door open.
âHoly shit dude!â Thatâs when Luke paused. âBellamy? What the hell are you doing here?â
Bellamy closed the book and got up from the bed. âIâm gonna need you to break up with (Y/N).â
Luke scoffed at this. âWhy? Why do you care? Listen I get it, you want to fuck her. I mean she looks good. But Iâm first okay. Whatever you want to do with her is up to you after that point.â
Bellamy took in a deep breath, not wishing it would have to come down to this. âSo youâre really gonna make me do this?â
Bellamy instantly punched Luke in his jaw. Luke fell to the ground. His mouth was gushing. He didnât even let Luke process it. He went back a second time and got him in the nose.
Lukeâs head flung back and hit the floor. Bellamy punched him again and again. Until he felt the message was heard.
He grabbed the hem of his shirt and slammed Luke into the wall. Lukeâs face was bloody and he was spitting up blood. âIâm going to say this one time and one time only; stay the fuck away from her. If I hear youâre still with her, if I even see you look in her direction, next time Iâm going to break in and beat you and your dad just for your existence because she doesnât deserve whatever your shit is. Do you understand?â When Luke didnât respond, he slammed him again in the wall. âDo. You. Understand?â
Luke gasped for air before nodding. âYes. Iâll stay away from her. Iâm sorry.â
Bellamy pulled away from him. Luke lost his balance and fell down to the ground. It made him shake his head and he walked out of the room.
He hoped Luke would follow through. He would hate have to come back and follow his word.
Nah. He really wouldnât hate it.
