“It’s got its…charm, in a classic novel sort of way, but I do agree it’s certainly not the best out there.” She agreed, taking another little sip of her drink as she watched him. His question made her raise a brow, a barely-there little tilt to her lips in an almost smirk, “Oh that’s very likely. After all, my kind has been around since practically the dawn of time. Who knows, maybe he even was one of us and just wanted to throw people off his scent with majorly skewing the details.”
“It’s definitely a fine skill to have. I’ve never quite understood not letting you humans learn to read. Hinders a lot of your usefulness.” She mused, nodding over to him. “Your name?”
“Also a fair point. I guess controlling the narrative was a good defence.” Colt mused, “Spread the wrong information and it’s all proof you aren’t a vampire if that ever came into question.” He’d heard about some of the myths that surrounded vampires, after all, most of which didn’t seem to be true.
Colt knew better than to actually say what he thought about the lack of education for humans, just clearing his through when she requested his name. “I’m Colt, my Lady.”
