had a traditional dutch dinner at a fully dutch person with no foreigner in their bloodline's house today. it was my first time eating a traditional dutch dinner. thought I'd show you what THAT'S like. i did not turn down the saturation on this image, the food is just.. that colour.

in case you couldn't tell, that's asparagus (3x), potato (2x), one cold, hard boiled egg, ham you usually put on a sandwich (2x), and "hollandaise sauce" (tastes like diluted mayonnaise).

before this, he served a "soup" that consisted of crème fraîche (thick milk but tasteless), onions, and blended lettuce. those were the only three ingredients. blended. lettuce.

the only seasoning i could taste in any of what i ate there was salt and even that was barely there.

this is why dutch people learn foreign recipes instead of dutch recipes when it comes to meals and not pastries. dutch meals suck.

I really dislike how people talk about certain things about the industry bc it’s a business and I haaaaate when people don’t realize this, your favorite artist is a pussy who puts their livelihood above your social causes and we should pressure them where it actually matters… their money, discourse goes so fast and that’s why they get away with so much
