I'm writing this post & it's taking longer to compile all of them. Probably because I'm reading both novel & webtoon for comparison, but I hope it's worth it.
One thing is for sure: Webtoon Braun & Soleum is gayer.

i'm probably like three years behind on this revelation
so yeah i know the team behind otogi spirit agents is (i believe) the same people more or less behind ayakashi ghost guild, its spiritual predecessor
i know that, after otogi spirit agents first ended its run, they stopped making events after the third anniversary and just started doing reruns
so then, i do wonder why the new company that bought the game, instead of making new events past the third anniversary update (as the game has been released for three years now)
is somehow rerunning events and characters from ayakashi ghost guild and importing them into otogi spirit agent canon????
like here's the first 'new' event from the game after its third anniversary event was released for this rendition:
me, only having found out that the game got rereleased sometime after this event was put out, thought to myself 'hm, the new art looks... off??? and they aren't crediting the artist in the card descriptions like they used to for otogi...'
the current event (halloween tower) comes along, and i see a character that i definitely recognize from ayakashi and not otogi and i think to myself 'when did they introduce this guy into otogi...?'
so i start comparing the records from the otogi and ayakashi wikias respectively
this is one of the things i find in the ayakashi side of things:
practically the same units and premise, the only differences being the items in both games (iirc spirit water was ayakashi's spirit tonic for otogi); just change characters like mira from ayakashi with sola from otogi and its like nothing changed
so, like... did this new company get the rights for both games???? are they just gonna start incorporating ayakashi events and units into otogi and not like?? develop new original events for otogi??? no further development on the otogi plot???
