"...Somebody remembers~"

Three months. Three months of coddling his new baby girl. Three months of being docile and silent--and strangely content with that concept. Were the circumstances any different, every instinct in Bakura's mind and body would all scream for him to move--to do something bold or new or even dangerous. And yet, now he found himself completely complacent in simply staying at home, and caring for his daughter.
Kisara was nearly always away now on business, and that left the once anarchistic Thief King as something of a... housewife. It was not somewhere he had expected to be. Yet, it was not somewhere he protested upon finding himself. He could not--would not, be kept from his little girl. Djeserit. His entire world was now focused on the tiny creature that could do little more than gurgle and cry. He was hers, utterly and without question. Him. The King of Thieves.
And his computer lay in the corner, gathering dust.
Thiefy was more of a loner now than he had ever truly been, he realized one day as he changed Djeserit's diaper. Aside from the baby girl he cradled in his arms, and Dartz, he was the epitome of alone. It was a strange change from being around fangirling humans and evil entities day in and day out. He'd grown up, in a way. Three thousand years of life, three years of new life, and he had become a married man with a child, far away from the dank depths of the internet.
His birthday passed, and he did not mention it to anyone. Dartz offered him a mountain of cream puffs, complete with a candle amidst the mass of pastries. He'd even had a chance to call Ryou, and see how he was doing. There would always be a void in his shriveled up heart without his Hikari around. Otherwise, the event drew by without any hoopla.
He never said a word about it, but his nostalgia hung in the air. He reflected upon his life until this point--a life that had suffered more pain than he could describe, but also joy. A joy that was filling his core, tackling the darkness within him head on.
Three days after his birthday, he picked up his laptop.
It was late at night, the baby was asleep, Dartz was out--with Marik, likely--and Thiefy was alone with his thoughts and that ever-budding nostalgia. Those feelings picked and picked at him, until he finally found his hands reaching for the old machine that had a tendency to bring him nothing but trouble. He flipped it open, and gazed upon the screen of Tumblr.
Much time had passed, if the counter of said time was a mortal. With every moment on this short on the Earth that passed, every second had to be tasted, savored. In three months, a whole new life could be had.
He wondered if he'd finally managed to fade against the background once again. If he was no longer thought of, noted, or wondered about. If he had been forgotten.
These thoughts chimed in his mind as managed to type out some half-assed "Hello" he pulled straight out of his arse and placed upon the dashboard of any who still thought of him.
Who still listened for him.
But whether they listened or not, he spoke.
He was here.
Narcissus?
That's my name.
"Well, hello there..~"
May I help you.
Would you abort Djeserit if the pregnancy endangered Kisara's life?
It wouldn't have been my choice to make, but my wife's.
So pleased to "meat" you. *randomly leaves a steak*
Why am I not getting these damn message notifications.
Thank you, I'll eat it with your blank face in mind.
Suddenly
The soft pale flesh wormed around in her tiny prison of blankets and the two strong pale arms that held her. The infant gurgled, eyes squeezed shut as she slowly awakened in the second day of her life. When they finally managed to tear open, they saw an awe-struck father staring down at her.
Pink. So much. Pink flesh and a pink tongue and pink blankets and the smell of pink. And even in the clumsy movements of the new human being, Bakura had never seen anything so graceful and beautiful. The world was a little less turbulent in this moment, in the soft blue eyes that looked at him without hatred or fear. He realized he'd never truly seen that look in anyone, not since he made the bond with the wretched demon centuries ago. Once, someone else looked at him like this. And he had held her just like this, like the most precious cargo in the world.
"Djeserit..." He spoke the name aloud, a name that had not any life to it in centuries still. "Djeserit, my daughter." The words thrilled his lips. "Djeserit, my beautiful, beautiful daughter. I have a daughter..."
The tiny girl seemed to respond to the sound of her father's voice, little hands clenching and unclenching before flailing slightly, like she had no idea what to do with them. Bakura hushed her, stroking the top of her head lovingly, the hair already showing the soft white locks. The delicate back arched, seeming to enjoy the attention.
"...I'm sorry I can't offer you a better father than me," he said self-deprecatingly. "But if it helps, you have the most wonderful mother you could ask for. And I'm sure your Uncle Dartzy will spoil the hell out of you, and Uncle Ryou will make sure I'm not too unfair with your punishments." He took one of the minuscule palms and kissed it. "As if someone as small as you could cause any trouble.
"You're going to have the best life I can offer, I swear to you. And for as long as I live, you'll be protected." He pulled her closer at that. "...He won't get to you. I won't let him, nor will I let anyone else." He had so much danger following him, danger she could never learn of. He'd keep her in the light, and she'd never know of the dark. Never be afraid of it, and never touch it.
But in holding her close, he felt stronger than he'd felt in years. Stronger, and petrified at the same time. Because the moment those blue eyes stared up at him, he realized he had never known what true love was before this little girl. In her, he saw his entire world, rivaling his deep passion for Ryou, a feat that Bakura had thought was impossible. He more than loved her, he had fallen in love with her, head over heels.
"...I'll take care of you, my little love." His eyes widened as her fingers clenched around his seemingly enormous index.
"I'll give you everything you need, until I have nothing left."
…No. That was me. Before.
Oh- You are one of those. -Stares with much scrutiny. -
*raises hands* I am not ashamed of it.
That makes it even more despairing. You should see a doctor. It is highly abnormal for someone to think that there are copies of you in the past of future. Many have been claiming this…I think there is an epidemic going around that causes dementia. To be proud of your insanity is something new all together. -raises a brow-
*flushes lightly* I am not insane. You are the one trapped in the future. Perhaps it is you who is the insane one.”
How do I know that I am trapped in the future? You could be lying to me. Do you have proof? *cocks his head and blinks*

...May I help you?
Anonymously ask me, "Would you..."
Could somebody be so kind...
…as to distract me before I do something reckless and self-destructive and very typically me to distract myself.
Never be typically you, Thief King. That can only ever end badly.
Typical me is better than—
….Yugi?
Aheh… Long time no see?
Where the hell have you been?
Well… around. You know, the usual. I just haven’t kept in touch…
You disappear for months and the most detail you can give me is around?
Could somebody be so kind...
…as to distract me before I do something reckless and self-destructive and very typically me to distract myself.
Never be typically you, Thief King. That can only ever end badly.
